  • Kokiri Refusal (1 Day Before the Invasion)

    *From Rayhaven*

Nyx entered the tree-hut of the leader of the Kokiri. He knew her fairly well, as the Kokiri and the Stari had close relations while she was living in the forest, and she spent much time playing with these perpetual children in her younger days. She knew she had to be nice if she wanted any hope of getting their aid. Smiling brightly, she faced the leader. "I have come to request your aid in the war, Boss." It took her a moment to remember the proper title, only remembering how Mido referred to himself, so that was how she decided to address him.

"War? What war?" the Kokiri asked, already seeming annoyed with the request.

"I left the forest and began following my Master, Rhykim. He is launching a campaign against Logata. If you and your tribe offer assisstance, once he wins the war, you and your people will be greatly rewarded. It will be worth your while, that I promise," Nyx said, trying her best to persuade him.

The Kokiri Boss seemed to grow angry at this point. "Look, this is NOT my war, this is yours. I have no business getting involved, especially since I don't even know Rhykim or what he is fighting for. Even if I did, Logata has done nothing to me, and Whitewood has been fine. I have my own problems to worry about. In case you don't remember, things aren't really great with the Dekus right now, so I need all of my fighters here in case things were to get bad. You Stari dragged me into one war, I'm not falling for that again and I will NOT be dragged into another one." He shook his head angrilly for a moment before looking Nyx straight in her forest green eyes. "Leave my sight. I can't believe you had the guts to even ask for the Kokiri's assisstance after all we've been through for you Stari," he said, waving his hand dismissively.

Without saying another word, Nyx walked out the door. Well, that didn't go as well as I'd hoped... she thought. Luna rubbed up against her legs, trying to make her feel better. By Luna's silence, Nyx could tell that Luna was thinking the same thing she was. The pair left Whitewood, hoping the Stari aid would be enough.
