  • Lurrul Kosso

    Name: Lurrul Kosso
    Gender: Male
    Species: Hylian
Age: 63 (Born in 27 ATR)
    Occupation: Noble/Lord of Necluda
Personality: Lurrul is incredibly arrogant. Over the years he has grown very ambitious. He's also very easily annoyed. Many of his political rivals and peers would consider him to be manipulative. In addition to his arrogance, he's also snobby and condescending.
    Starter Pack: Noble Pack
Appearance: An older Hylian, with long, slicked back, silver hair. He uses a cane to stand upright, but he hunches still. He usually wears comfortable, loose-fitting clothes, namely a maroon, long sleeved shirt and black pants made of finer materials (like a type of silk) and a long white cloak displaying his family’s crest in a crimson embroidering. He's a bit overweight, but he is slightly more agile than he appears. Also has no facial hair.
    Skills: Persuasion, diplomacy, commands authority

Backstory: Lurrul was born into the Kosso family in Hateno. During the Reconstruction Era, his Father helped support and finance the reconstruction of Necluda. Lutall was an older man at the time, remembering the days when the Calamity still swarmed Hyrule Castle. His main focus After the Ruin was to rebuild Hateno Fort and keep it garrisoned. He believed that with the right support from the Royal Family and his resources, he could manage and reuse Hateno Fort as a defensive line against any other incursions into Hateno from outside threats.

In 44 ATR, Lutall passed away from a particularly cold winter illness. Despite going against Lutrall’s wishes, his closest friend requested medical aid from Kakariko Village in an attempt to heal the dying man. His friend felt this was best to help increase cooperation and diplomacy between the strained factions in Necluda. However, Lutrall’s age was against him and the Sheikah were unable to heal him.

In his will, he left the Estate in temporary hands of his best warrior, a man who was devoutly loyal to the late Lord. Also in Lutrall’s will, he stated that his only son, Lurrul, would be able to take full control of the Estate when he turned 21. After four years of studying diplomacy and practicing his swordplay, Lurrul took his rightful control on his 21st birthday in 48 ATR.

When King Kadir began to consolidate his power and wealth; he created a new feudal system to oversee the continued reconstruction and restoration of the regions. Kadir placed Lurrul as the Lord of Necluda and gave him a seat on the newly established Council of Families.
As one of his first efforts as Lord, he decreed upgrades to Hateno Fort. His motivation was to increase its size and defensive capabilities to being more than just a wall. Over the course of his rule, Hateno Fort became an actual fort with garrison quarters, active training grounds, a reinforced wall, towers with ballista and trebuchet mounts to better serve for protection.

While visiting Hyrule Castle, he also helped influence King Kadir into restricting and severing ties with the Sheikah. This manipulation would help him consolidate more power over Necluda, creating a form of animosity with his people and alienating the Sheikah. Over the years, he reluctantly maintained the peace with the Sheikah, but he made further political moves to restrain them further. Ultimately, he believed that the Sheikah were responsible for his father’s death and that they didn’t try hard enough to save their Lord.

After Kadir’s rule and his son, Roark, was crowned as the new King. Over Roark’s short rule, Lurrul and the King didn’t see eye-to-eye on diplomacy a lot of times. Lurrul felt that Roark was too busy pandering and playing benevolent leader that he was too weak to keep control of his power and domain. Oftentimes they would argue and disagree, however, nothing more than words ever came of it. During Roark’s stay in Hateno for the King’s Tour of Hyrule, Lurrul continued to push for more and more sanctions against the Sheikah, fearing their discontent and proficiency with technology would eventually lead Hyrule to war. At the end of King Roark’s stay in Hateno, the King told Lurrul he would keep everything they discussed “in mind,” but Lurrul felt that the King was simply humoring him.

At the end of the decade, tension between the Sheikah and Hateno Hylians had reached an all-time high. Lurrul continued to enforce sanctions against the King’s orders to keep exposing the threat the Sheikah were. Lurrul, knowing that new edicts were being written to take effect immediately upon its completion, invited the King to a boating expedition around Necluda Sea. While out on the waters, an unfortunate accident happened in which Lurrul recalls that the biggest Ocktorok he had ever seen attacked and the King was one of it’s several victims.

After Roark’s death, his young daughter Talisha was crowned and Lurrul felt it would only be a matter of time before he would achieve his goals.

Side note: Lurrul has an estranged daughter, Isha. She was born in 68 ATR. Isha's mother and Lurrul's ex-wife died in 83 ATR.

Alright, so the main issue is personality. This section needs to be five sentences giving the broad strokes of his personality, from temper to humor. What you have could work, but absolutely must be in sentence form.
Appearance could use more details as well. Is he tall or short? Fat or thin? Scrawny or muscular? What color are his eyes? Does he have any facial hair? You also need two more sentences to reach our minimum requirement, but answering these should get you there.
Condescension doesn't count as a skill, it's a personality trait. Getting what he wants and persuasion are the same thing, and I'd really like to slid both under diplomacy for selfish ends, although I can be convinced at them still being separate. Given that, I'll need one more distinct skill.
This is something a little more out of curiosity than necessity, but did he ever take a wife and have kids to further his ambition?
Phillipians 4:13 - I can do everything through him who gives me strength.
