Mikela stands taller than average at 6’2 with an agile, athletic build. Her scales are dark blue, and her fins slim and curved with a lighter shade at the ends. Under direct sunlight, especially if her scales are drying up, she may appear more green-blue. She has gold eyes and narrow facial features. She has a band tattooed with squid ink around her right arm as well as various simple tattoo patterns around her neck and on the backs of her hands. She wears a black shadow over her eyes. She carries herself with the gracefulness of a dancer. Most who've seen her perform will say she is the most beautiful zora of all.

One zora spear of the highest quality, crafted by her father (doesn’t carry this unless traveling)
Two slim daggers that she crafted herself which strap to her forearms (again, only while traveling)
She keeps her flute on her–her guitar usually stays at home though
Various jewelry of turquoise, shell and bone, and a taut gold chain around her neck
More rupees than she needs. Don’t let her go to the markets alone

In combat or travel, Mikela wears a gold painted traditional zora breastplate with purple cloth draping below it. She wears fishbone earrings and various rings and bracelets made of turquoise, bone and shell. She may be seen with either the classic zora spear or her dual knives that strap to her forearms.
Personality:
At her heart, Mikela is a dancer and an artist: she’s highly self critical of her skills and is disciplined to her art form. Loyal to her people, she carries zora traditions and values. She only eats fish. Her personality mainly coasts on chillness and going with the flow, as she’s a rather meditative zora. She’s expressed in her flowy movement, elegant style and relaxed speech. Sometimes she will trail off topic or speak with a metaphor. She is dreamy minded and finds inspiration in the passion of combat and romance. Her ego is a little inflated right now due to her newfound wealth and the success of her band, but isn’t completely braggadocious, more accidentally so. Though she would fight to protect her people, Mikela’s main motivations are money and her artistic pursuits.
Skills:
Being a talented dancer, Mikela also makes for a skilled fighter due to her good rhythm and movement, as well as having excellent balance. She is physically fit and with good endurance. She is good at maintaining a calm composure. She is finely in tune with her body and able to swim at high speeds. Even underwater, she is very agile. When she tries, she can be a quick thinker and she has a knack for improvising. She is also a good singer and can play the flute, or accompany herself on a guitar. She has some smithing skills, but only uses them for her own purpose: knives.
Combat Style:
Mikela’s main weapons are dual knives which allow her to fight without being weighed down. She leaps and twirls knives into her enemies as if to a rhythm. Alternately, she also has a method for spear combat. With either weapon her style is graceful and sometimes showy or simply ferocious.
Backstory:
Being a zora, Mikela has quite a few years under her belt; 104 to be exact. Her father Kenton is a craftsman who makes armor and spears for the zora soldiers. Her mother Miya is a yoga instructor. She was born in Zora's Domain. Mika’s upbringing represents her duality of fighter and dancer. She has a love of movement from her mother, and a respect for the blade that comes from her father. She spent her decades-long childhood like any other zora, and was still a young child during the ruin. She has the sad memory of seemingly eternal rain during her early youth. Her best way of coping with this was through yoga poses learned from her mother. The reconstruction began while she was still a child. During this time, she had no need to fight, but still showed interest in her father’s weapons. When she was old enough, he would give her lessons in the art of the Zora spear. This was enjoyable for her due to the rhythm of it, and she developed her own style of dancing dual daggers, but wouldn’t need to use her skills for a long time. Kenton also taught her some smithing skills which she used to hone her daggers.
When she was 32 (still very young by Zora standards), her family moved to Cape Cresia. Yoga continued to be her form of meditation, and it turned into dancing when she heard the beat of a new Zora band that emerged in the village when she was about 80 (for a Zora, late teenager). She showed a natural talent for dancing, and possessed a beautiful singing voice. Jiving with the band, she was added to the lineup as a dancer, singer and flutist, and they became the Tsunami 6. She is the primary singer and dancer in this band - the center of attention and the best known name. This started a long love affair with music, and she learned guitar from a band mate and flute on her own. By 70 ATR the band was creating quite the buzz, and were undisputably the greatest (and only) Zora band. Their shows became increasingly packed, so they moved their residence to the zora resort on Eventide Island. The 6 built a shell stage on a small island beside Eventide Island where they perform nightly for tourists, bringing in heaps of rupees.
On tours, they can be seen in big towns and cities bringing their signature surf funk ska blend to the masses, though they tend to stay away from places that don’t have nearby access to swimming water, or anywhere the zoras might not be welcome. When she’s not on tour, Eventide is still where Mikela can typically be found, rehearsing or performing with her band, or simply bathing in the warm southern sun. They use a fashionably painted wagon with bodyguards when they leave the resort for tours. As their fame increases, they have been getting more respect from the general public and often enjoy abundant luxuries when being hosted by another town. Ask Mikela about performing for and meeting King Roark-she just loves to tell about it!
