    Broo turned to glare at Aria. Our weapons aren't cutting through.
    Aria scowled. "Just keep firing. We'll punch through the shields eventually." Broo snorted to himself. He had improved the engines and scanners so that they could go faster. However, he had only faintly touched the weapons. As a bounty hunter, they needed speed more often than weapons, so he hadn't thought it worth the time. If they managed to shoot down the shields, the weapons would be long over-heated, making it difficult to shoot down the ship.

      Severance turned to Tasyl, "Unfortunately, it isn't the droids who lack in their capabilities. It's the equipment on the ship. When I'm done here and return to Raxus, I plan to upgrade the systems," Severance said. The serving droid came onto the bridge, "Here you are, some food for you."

      CT-5483 pulled up to the Valorous' hangar and leveled out. At the same time, Rhyssa entered the hangar and watched CT-5483 bring the gunship to a resting stop. He turned off the engines. Rhyssa walked up to the side of the hangar and the compartment doors opened. All she could see "Sky! Is that really you?" tears now streaming down her eyes. She ran up to hug him.

      Threes was smiling under his visor. He walked up to the clones. "Well done Pilot. I'm most pleased by your squads performance. Now go and rest up," Threes said.
      "With all do respect, Sir, I would like to get back out on the battlefield," CT-5483 said.
      "Very well, Chief, I'll have your gunship refueled and resupplied," Threes said walking off with the rest of the clones. As several other tendrils and pipes reached the gunship.
      "Chief... I like that," CT-5483 said to himself.

        "I guess i can't say no to free food", replies Tasyl. Tasyl grabs the food and sits down and eats," mmm food i like food, said Tasyl.

          Severance turned to Tasyl. "Do you have any idea who I am?" he asked. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw the Droid Control ship explode outside the Lynx's windows. Severance sighed. "Fortunately, the two Commerce Guild frigates are moving in."
          "Captain, two Commerce Guild frigates are closing. I think they're attempting to hold us off so they can complete the bombardment," a clone said. Rhyssa entered the bridge.
          "General," Captain Henry acknowledged Rhyssa, "There are two Recuscant cruisers closing in. I suggest a retreat."
          "Captain, if we retreated, we'd be leaving Ryloth to its demise. I cannot let that happen without trying," Rhyssa said.
          "With all do respect General, this is a battle we can't win. The clankers outnumber us 2:1. By our calculations, Ryloth will be destroyed by the time we break through the frigates," Henry pleaded.
          "What's the chance of us hitting the command ship before then?" Rhyssa asked.
          "The latest projection says... 6%, General."
          The tone on the bridge is quiet and somber. The bridge doors opened.
          "Take us back to Coruscant," a voice said.
          "Sky!" Rhyssa exclaimed. "You're suppose to be in the infirmary!"
          "My natural place is on the bridge, not in a bed. Rhyssa, listen to the Captain. Ryloth is doomed. We have no chance of winning. Captain, recall our fighters and bombers. We're going to Coruscant," Sky said commanding over Rhyssa. "General Rhyssa, I'm relieving you of duty. You've strained yourself enough. I will take over from here."
          "No! This is my ship! My command!" Rhyssa yelled. "I do what I need to! You're the one who was rescued! You should be relieved of duty!"
          "Rhyssa... Don't let the power go to your head. Sounds like you're losing track of the right path..."
          "I'm sorry, General. I'm siding with Master Sky. I am obligated to spare the lives of my men," Henry said. "Trooper, recall all fighters and bombers and prepare to go to jump to hyperspace to Coruscant."
          "Yes Sir," and the clone trooper did as he was told.

                  "Are you ok? Do you see what it is I'm doing?" he asked, rather concerned with about the woman's mental stability.
                  "Captain," a droid said interrupted, "The Republic fleet is retreating. Should we order the frigates to pursue?"
                  "No, have them hold position. It may be a trick."
                  "Yes, Sir."

                      Aria swore as she checked the scanners and saw the Republic ships were fleeing. She could see why, though. While they had destroyed the command ship, two other ships were closing in on them. Aria sighed and looked over at Broo. "How far down are the shields?"
                      Not enough to be able to puncture and destroy the ship before Ryloth is destroyed, came the reply.
                      Aria swore again. "The one time I try to do something that doesn't involve saving my own skin, and the universe works against me. Well, so much for doing good deeds. Get jump coordinates from the nav computor. Jump anywhere you like, I'm pulling back."

                        (Lol, you wouldn't have ever been able to weaken the shields at all anyways :P)
                        "Captain, the freighter is preparing another jump. Did you still want them destroyed?" a droid said.
                        "Yes, leave nothing but debris left," Severance ordered.

                          They spotted us. Droid ships are coming at us.
                          Aria swore as Broo warned her. She seemed to be doing that a lot lately, although she tended to swear a lot anyways. She debated the merits of fighting them, and decided it wouldn't be worth it while the other ships were still near enough to support the droids. She started to weave around them, while urging Broo to hurry with the coordinates.
                          Suddenly, Aria felt a shiver run along the Black Ruby. "Just a little longer, baby," she told it gently. The ship responded with a groan. "Better hurry, Broo. Ship's not liking this much. Even a short jump will do, as long as we can get away from these droids for long enough to let the ship relax."

                            "Sir, our scanners indicate that the freighter is having internal power fluctuations. I predict that they will not make the jump to hyperspace," a droid spoke.
                            Severance thought over his options. "Tell the vultures to disable the ship. I want to capture it," he ordered calmly.

                              Aria eased on the engines as much as she could, but she could tell that it wasn't enough. The Black Ruby continued to shudder. Aria was starting to freak out. In all her years as a bounty hunter, not once had she been caught. Then again, all those times she came close had been quick,and only a few jumps were needed to get away. Whereas here, she had been forcing the Black Ruby to max speed to dodge lasers and ships, for much longer than she had ever before.
                              Broo finally got coordinates, and Aria started locking them in. However, just as she entered them and was about to jump, the Black Ruby convulsed one more time, and the engines gave out. Without the engines, they couldn't jump. And if they couldn't jump.... Broo immediatly stood and hurried to the back to check on them and to see if he could get them working again.
                              Aria, however, just slumped in her chair. She doubted Broo could get the engines online soon enough. She was not afraid to die, but she had always hoped it would be in a mansion while in her late years. Still, aboard her favorite ship wasn't so bad either. She closed her eyes and waited, either for Broo to get the engines on or, the more likely outcome, the desctruction of her and her ship.

                                Several of the vulture droids shot grapples at the Black Ruby and started to tug it along to the Lynx's main hangar. The droids pulled it to the hangar and the auto-repulsorlift tech set the Black Ruby down gently. Several droids began to close in on loading ramp of the Black Ruby
