He walks throught the forest. last he remembered, everything had gone white. he had flashes of someone, an opponent?. he waas large, and looked somewhat angry. he came into a clearing full of old ruins with his Shadowsong drawn. He paused for a second, he was on his guard in this new place, and his blade began to glow a slight Amber. he heard a rustle in the distance.[COLOR="Silver"]

Narus walked through the forest. He had no memory of how he got here, only a vague image of a dark-haired man who appeared to be in his late teens. Then, that man was standing before Narus as he entered a small clearing. He gave a cold, crooked smile that failed to reach his eyes as he drew both of his swords and settled into a combat stance.
"I get the feeling that we're both here for the same reason, and that the only way to get out of this forest is for one of us to die. Shall we see who is superior?"
Narus crouched low for a second, before running forward for the kill. As he drew close to his opponent, Narus's katana came up in a slash, it's blade crackling with electricity.

The movement was almost in the blink of an eye, Seric Deflected the attack with his sword while jumping back. His blade was glowing almost blood red, He knew there was no way to settle it peacefully. with his free hand he readied a ball of Shadow magic. He began analysis. "I see the logic in your poorly thought out idea." he said almost taunting. "sadly, i dont think you know me very well" he allowed the energy to harden over his wrist, forming an armoured glove of his pheonix knight.

Well, now this should be interesting, Narus thought, circling his opponent, sizing him up. Magic, eh? That might complicate things. Let's feel him out a bit
Narus raised his katana and pointed it at Seric, firing a few blasts of electricity. Taking advantage of the opportunity, Narus charged forward, bring his sword in for an uppercut.

Seric, never losing his calm, easily Dodged the blasts. He then Once again jumped back, landing on top of an old stone spire. 'He relies on his Strength, and he uses electric magic. This should be good' He Fired a blast of Shadow magic at the ground in front of His opponent, which exploded in a cloud of darkness in the clearing.

Narus leaped back, his arms shielding his face. Taking advantage of the dust cloud thrown up, he ducked into the forest and quickly found a vantage point in a nearby tree, sheathing his weapons as he did so.

He has considerable skill Narus mused. Perhaps this battle would best be fought through stealth and intelligence, rather than brute force. With thought, Narus ducked off through the canopy of trees, circling around to get a better of his opponent.

Seric too took advantage of his dust cloud and moved into the dark halls of the ruins, he took advantage of the shadows and used his own to hide his aura physical presence. he waited, watching out the door for his opponnent.

Narus came to a stop and, crouching down on the branch he was on, looked around.
Where did he go? Hmph, He must have used that dust cloud as well. How troublesome.
Narus took a moment to examine his arms, and, after finding only a few minor scrapes, gently lowered himself to the forest floor and knelt to examine where Seric had been standing. He was quickly able to deduce the path his foe had taken and, taking a moment to pull out a hunting knife, set off to the west.

After a few minutes of walking, stopping on occasion to re-check his path, Narus stopped just outside the clearing in which the ruins stood. Narus crouched behind some shrubbery and sized up the location.
He is definitely from an urban area; this is the perfect placed for an unsuspecting person to be ambushed. Though it does make a decent place to hole up. Now let's see. No windows, and no other visible entrances or exits. At least two stories, maybe more, and more than likely in disrepair. It would appear that I will have to go in the front.
Rising from his hiding spot, Narus crept towards the entrance and flattened himself against the wall next to it. He switched his knife to a backhand grip and charged some electricity in his right hand. Deciding he was ready, Narus whipped around into the opening and blasted his bolt straight down the middle.

'this place is perfect for shadow manipulation.' Seric thought to himself. he went through a door at the end of the hall, as he closed it he heard the bolt hit the door. 'he's coming'. he was in a large room. in the center was four torches and a square on the floor. the room appeared to exit into more, but he decided to wait here. he lit the torches which burned with the blue flame of his magic then formed the rest of the Phoenix Knight armor and waited in the middle, perfectly still. he held the phoenix blades.
