I deleted the last thread because I felt the theme was too...constricting. Here I will post anything I feel like posting, and they will vary in length.
This first one is Link vs Connor from Assassin's Creed.
Link's setup:
One Fairy
Two red potions
Two green potions
Master Sword
Bow and arrow (30 arrows)
Hookshot
Bombs (5 bombs)
Boomerang
Din's Fire
Connor's setup:
Slow health regeneration outside of combat
Tomahawk
Hidden blade
Sword
Bow and arrow (30 arrows)
Pistol (5 bullets)
Wolf Cloak (Invisibility that slightly affects health)
Bear Might (Superhuman power that has huge toll on health)
The arena is a 50x50x50 feet cube, set up similar to a paintball field (is that what they are called?) with platforms on the walls accessible by climbing. There are five clearings : one in the north, one in the south, one in the west, one in the easy, and the center.
FIGHT!
The two combatants entered the arena at the north and south ends. Connor immediately started climbing the nearest wall and got a good vantage point of the center part of the arena.
Connor had read up on his opponent before the match. This man had the Triforce of Courage, which meant he wouldn't be frightened by Connor's abilities like other men who had faced the assassin before. Connor had three powers like Link, but he didn't know if Link brought all of them or none of them. Connor didn't get to look at his opponent's inventory before entering the arena.
Link, however, who was searching the high platforms for signs of Connor, did manage to get a look at what Connor was bringing. He knew that in any moment, Connor could jump from above and either smash Link's body to pieces or shoot him. Link didn't want either to happen.
After jumping to a few other platforms, Connor waited for Link to get closer, then jumped. Connor fired his flintlock, and the bullet went straight through Link's head. Connor landed and turned around to examine the body.
"Dissapointing. I expected more."
All the sudden, a fairy came out of a bottle Link had on him and revived the hero. In two seconds, Link stood again at full health.
Connor jumped back just before the Master Sword went through the spot that Connor had been in. Connor, not knowing Link didn't have a second fairy, took out his tomahawk and hidden blade (he pulls it out of it's original spot in the mechanism on his wrist and puts it in his right hand), and the fight began.
For a few minutes, they were equal, but then Connor caught Link's sword with his tomahawk and threw him off balance. When Link fell to the floor, Connor backed up a bit, started running, then a feet away from Link's body, jumped up and smashed the ground.
Luckily, Link had rolled to the side a bit, so the smash only sent him flying. Link knew from the amount of power used in that attack that Connor was using Bear Might. But this also meant Connor was very tired now.
As Connor saw Link reading an arrow, he took cover behind a small tower and heard the arrow fly right past him.
I need to hide. Connor told himself as he started to climb. When he got to the top, Link turned the corner and looked up.
"You can't get me from up here!" Connor shouted down, his health slowly regenerating. "You can't climb without vines or ladders!"
Link smiled. Connor would be surprised. Link took out a bomb, lit it, then ran away to take cover. Connor looked down and saw the bomb.
"Hmph. I've escaped bigger explosions."
The bomb went off, crippling the base of the tower, making it fall towards the east side. Connor stayed with the tower for most of the fall, but jumped onto one of the nearby walls before it hit the ground. Connor assessed the damage that the tower had caused the arena. Many walls were damaged, but the fall had made weak parts of the tower to fall off, creating entrances. This would create an interesting change to the combat experience.
After getting close to the tower, Connor fired off a shot, then used Wolf Cloak while getting inside the tower just in case Link came earlier than planned, which he did. When Link got to the spot he heard the shot come from, he was confused. Where had Connor gone?
Suddenly, an arrow hit Link's left arm. He looked around, but nothing was there. Then, an arrow hit his other arm after he pulled the first one out. He looked around again, but nothing was there. But then Link remembered the Wolf Cloak.
Link jumped, turned around, and threw his boomerang. Out of pure luck, it hit Connor, which Link knew would temporarily knock him out. While Connor was unconcious, Link took out the second arrow and drank one of his red potions.
From outside of the arena, it looked like this was going to be an interesting fight. Shadow took a sip of his soda and ate a fistful of popcorn.
"I place my bet on the green one," he said.
"Nah, that assassin is totally going to win," Maxwell said, only because 1) he loved arguing with Shadow and 2) Connor reminded him of part of his army.
"No, no, you've both got it wrong." I said. "I think they're going to kill each other."
Part Two should be up Monday (4/29) because I don't have school.
