    Amaterasu:

    Prologue

    "Hey! You! Up There!" Elizieth awoke with a start. Rubbing her eyes, she looked down at the voice.

    "What! Can't a girl get a little sleep up here!?" Then when she got a good look at the person, she realized who it was. He was a Hylian Knight.

    "Get down from there!" the Knight shouted. "You are on Royal Family Property! You will be prosicuted for trespassing unless you leave immedietly!"

    "Sorry! Sorry! I didn't know!" Elizibeth said, frantically scrambling down the tree. "I didn't know, it's just--"

    "It's okay." The Knight interupted. "What's your name girl?"

    "Elizibeth Carlson. Fifteen-year-old Hylian." Elizibeth said quietly. "You can call me Lizy for short."

    "Okay then 'Lizy.' You seem like you had a rough night." he said, judging by her torn purple tunic, bloodshot emerald eyes and unkempt red hair. "Tell ya what. You give me twenty-five Ruppees, and we'll pretend like this never happened." The Knight suggested.

    "Okay, here." Elizibeth said, handing him the money. "Can you give me a ride back to Hyrule Field?" I need to get my horse."

    "Sure. Hop on." he replied, patting the saddle on his horse behind him.

    "Thanks.

    Chapter One
    A New Start

    "Okay, here's your stop. You might wanna wash up by the river first." The Hylian Knight said, stopping his horse.

    "Yeah. And change my clothes." Elizibeth added, hopping down. "Thanks again for your help!" she called as he galloped back towards town.

    "Even though I'm a mess, I need to get to Bailey." Elizibeth muttered, taking off towards Lon-Lon Ranch.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    "Lizy! What happened?!" Malon, gasped, seeing her various scratches and bruises, her torn clothes and messy hair. Malon was a small girl about the age of 10 with long red hair and sea blue eyes
    "Tousle with some Stalchildren. Bigger group than usual, it was really wierd. Where's Bailey?" Elizibeth demanded.
    "He came galloping in last night looking spooked." Ingo said, walking out with the horse in tow. Ingo was a tall man with a crooked mustache and brown eyes. "What happened?"
    "Stalchildren army. There were more than usual, and Bailey ran off. I spent the night in a tree and a Knight kicked me out." Elizibeth explained.
    "Sounds like You-know-who's back." Malon said quietly, the color draining from her face.
    "You mean the 'G' name?" Ingo asked. Malon nodded. Even Bailey seemed to go on edge at the mention of the letter.
    "Ganondorf." Elizibeth said aloud, her eyes narrowing. "I, Elizibeth Carlson, swear by the Goddesses that I will slay him."
    Everybody gasped, and Bailey stomped his hooves in protest.
    "That's suicide!"
    "That's crazy!"
    "It just might work."
    "Dad! What are you saying! Elizibeth would be mince meat before she said anything to Gaonon!" Malon protested.
    "She wouldn't even get to his tower!" Ingo added.
    "She's standing right here." Elizibeth said, annoyance dripping from her voice. "We all know Link isn't here, and I'm damn sure none of the knights are brave enough!
    "Well, you're going to need some major help then. Follow me. Ingo, Malon, tack up bailey." Talon, a guy like Ingo only fatter and with a straighter mustache, said, heading towards the grain silo.
    Chapter 2
    Family Secrets
    “I’ve never seen this part of the Ranch,” Elizibeth breathed, looking around.
    “That’s because you’re always pokin’ around the other parts of the Ranch and hangin’ out in the field. But you ain’t seen nothin’ yet.” Talon said, walking over to some crates. “Give me a hand movin’ these boxes.”
    Together, Talon and Elizibeth moved the crates to the other side of the room. Talon took a large poster of a cow off the wall to reveal a door. Walking in, Elizibeth looked around. There were multiple tunics, some swords and shields. “Talon…”
    “Welcome to my secret stash. ‘Got everything you’d need. Tunics, weaponry, shields… The list goes on.” Talon explained.
    “Where’d you get all this stuff!?” Elizibeth gasped. “You’ve got nearly every kind of weapon in Hyrule here!”
    “Call it my personal collection,” Talon said. “Go ahead, look around.”
    Elizibeth looked through the tunics of all colors, and the maps of every specific part of Hyrule. There was an assortment of shields and armors as well. She looked at Talon. “What do I need?”
    “Well, for starters, a new tunic. Then, we need to find what weapon suits you the best. Sword, archery, knives, all kinds of weapons. Here, where this until Malon fixes your old tunic.” He said, handing her a green one and leaving to check on Bailey.
    Elizibeth walked up to the weapons and took a look. Picking up a sword, she swung it around, learning how to adjusted the weight of the sword onto her arm. Smiling, she set down the blade and picked up a bow and a few arrows. Closing one eye and aiming at a Skullwaltula on the wall, Elizibeth closed one eye and drew back the bowstring. Moving the bow slightly to the left, she let it go and watched the arrow fly and pin the Skullwaltula to the wall.
    “Lizy? I finished your tunic.” Malon’s quiet voice drifted through the room.
    “Aw, thanks Malon. It looks better than when it was brand new.” Elizibeth said, putting down the bow and taking the tunic.
    “I have to give you something, and teach you how to use it. Here,” Malon said, handing Elizibeth a small box. “Open it,”
    Opening the box, Elizibeth found a small blue ocarina; the Ocarina of Time. Her eyes went wide. “Malon, where did you get this?”
    “Remember how Link went missing? I found this in Epona’s saddlebag the day she came back. With a note. It said; Malon. I have gone to a different place, far away from here, and sent Epona back with this Ocarina. I know that Ganondorf will once again rise. When he does, give it to Elizibeth Carlson. Teach her how to play it, and tell her to never give up.” Malon recited.
    “How did he know me? I watched him from the window of the room,” Elizibeth remembered.
    “He saw you, and asked about you. He said you reminded him of himself.”
    “Oh. Well, wanna help me pick stuff out?” Lizy asked, trying to change the subject.
    “Actually, I have something to say as well.” Ingo interjected, walking inside. “Elizibeth Carlson; you have grown into a beautiful young woman. Would you like to know the story of your origin?” he asked.
    “Yes sir,” Elizibeth said, sitting on a crate of arrows.
    “Do you remember when Talon taught you about the Kokiri Children?”
    “Yes, they lived eternally as children and can never leave Kokiri Forest.” Elizibeth said, eyeing Ingo. “Why is that important?”
    “Because you were an excetion. The Great Deku Tree knew of your importance, and bent the rules. A lot. When you were born, you were raised as a Hylian. As far as the rest of the Kokiri are concerned, you don’t exist.”
    “And why exactly didn’t you tell me this!?” Elizibeth demanded, anger coloring her face a deep pink. “Why didn’t you think this was a good thing to tell me!?” she screamed again, ready to send an arrow deep into Ingo’s leg.
    “Lizy, it’s okay!” Malon said quickly, knowing of Elizibeth’s short temper. “The Great Deku Tree requested it! That’s why you’re here,”
    Elizibeth’s emerald eyes searched Malon’s Blue ones, but she couldn’t tell if she was lying. Her face faded back to flesh and her gaze glanced at Ingo, searching his brown eyes to see if he was lying. When she found neither of them were, she looked back down at Malon. “Okay, I believe you, but I will always think of you as my crazy sister, Talon as my insane dad, and Ingo as my weird-in-a-good-way uncle.”
    “Aw, I love you too, and I’ll always think of you as my sister!”
    “And my niece.”
      Chapter Three
      Elizibeth’s Training
      “Okay, voice down, bow up. Ready, aim, fire.” Talon whispered to Elizibeth. Letting the bowstring go, Elizibeth watched it fly through the air and hit a Guay square in the wing.
      Of course, that sent the whole flock of them into a rage. They stated to dive bomb Elizibeth and Talon. “Run!” Elizibeth screamed, kicking Bailey so he’d run back to the barn at full speed. Even then she did her best to shoot off the birds from the saddle.
      “Wait for me!” Talon shouted, kicking up dust and pebbles as he ran, trying to catch up with Bailey and Elizibeth. Reaching the stable, they slammed the door shut and panted, listening to the Guays smack against the door and then thud onto the ground. “O..Kay… You…you’re good… wi-with archery…” Talon panted, bent over on his knees. “Next… Session…”
      “Okay, this time we’re going to be the ones attacking. You’ll use all your stealth to sneak through Lon-Lon Ranch and grab these flags.” Malon said, leading Elizibeth blind-folded to the center of the corral. “There are twelve in all.”
      “Okay. Don’t worry, no shots will be fired.” Elizibeth assured her with a sly smirk.
      Malon slowly started backing up and then started a trot. “Blindfold off!” she shouted, turning and running off to the grain silo. Ripping her blindfold off, Elizibeth looked around to see where everybody was. Ingo was to her left, and a flag was about halfway up the house. Malon and Talon were nowhere to be seen.
      Elizibeth ran towards the house and hopped up the side, barely grabbing the flag before she fell back down, her boots squeaking on a stone. Malon, who happened to be walking out of the silo, looked over and Elizibeth hid behind one of the nearby crates. Glancing around, she saw another flag hidden between the crate and the wall of the house, so she plucked that from the ground as well. “Two down, eleven to go.” She thought to herself.
      Glancing around once more, she saw another flag about twenty yards in front of her. Although, it was in a wide-open space. “Okay, no Talon… Malon’s over there…” Elizibeth thought again. She saw another flag behind the first, and beyond those flags, the barn. Taking one last look around, she ran as fast as she could towards the barn. One, two flags and a third on the barn door. “Five,”
      Entering the barn, Elizibeth had to quickly dive behind some saddles, seeing Ingo shoveling stalls. His eyes glanced at the barn door, when he heard it creek, but he didn’t see Elizibeth. “Must just be hearing things,” he muttered to himself.
      Elizibeth snuck a glance at the wheelbarrow full of horse poo. “Okay, almost full; about one more stall until he has to dump it.” She thought. Elizibeth waited for twenty minutes before Ingo finally finished mucking not only the stall he’d just started, but also two more. When he finally set the shovel down and left, Elizibeth’s foot had fallen asleep. Shaking it out, she searched every nook and cranny of the barn, and found one near a rack of horseshoes and another under three saddle blankets. Just as she was heading for the door, she heard it start to creak open, and had to dive into a crate of oats. Malon, her own bow in hand, lead Spazz inside, talking softly. “It’s okay Spazz. Those Guay are just stupid birds; nothing more than under grown cucoos.” Spazz was genuinely spooked, ears down and eyes twitching. Malon gently put him his freshly mucked stall and gave him an apple to munch before leaving the barn once again.
      When Elizibeth could no longer hear Malon’s footsteps, she slowly climbed out of the box, only to be poked by yet another flag hidden inside the box. She counted up the ones she now had. “Nine, last three must be in the house.” Walking towards the door, she took a quick peek outside before dashing towards the house. Inside, she saw Talon’s Super Cucoos clucking and walking around a few normal Cucoos, the rest of the family was nowhere to be found. One chicken had a flag in her beak, and Elizibeth managed to pry it open and retrieve the flag. Upstairs, yet another flag was under the mattress where Ingo kept his secret stash of Rupees.
      Elizibeth heard the front door open, then Talon’s voice and his heavy footsteps. “I have to admit, the girl’s aim is great and nobody has seen her since the stealth session began.” Talon boasted.
      “Hmm, and how many has she found?” An unknown voice asked; it sounded small and high-pitched.
      “Not a clue. We’ll just have to wait an’ see.” Footsteps left the room, but Elizibeth could only hear Talon’s heavy feet. Hopping down the stairs, Elizibeth checked out the window to see any people. None. As she closed the curtain, something fell out and hit her on the head; the final flag. Waling outside, she snuck into the barn and scared Ingo. Smiling, she held up all the flags.
      “Good, lets go find Malon and Talon so you can start your sword training. Talon! Malon! Lizy finished!” yelled Ingo.
      Malon came out of the house with four glasses on Lon-Lon milk and Talon followed with two handfuls of apples. “Awesome! Milk and apples!” Elizibeth said, punching the air. “So, when does sword training start?” she asked, taking a bite of her apple.
      “Actually, there’s somebody I need you to meet,” Talon said, stepping to the side.
      “Hello Elizibeth Carlson. My name is Navi.”
