Preface:
There was once two cities for creatures older then time itself. These two cities were separated by a green grassy plain, and often it is there that two children met, one from each city. One was a small boy, he was awfully proud for his age; however, he was protective and protected the ones he cared about. The other was a girl; she was so filled with joy and happiness that even the moody boy couldn’t help but like her.
Each day they two kids would meet in the field and each night they would return home. They kept their friendship a secret because the girl was an angel, and the boy was a demon. People saw this as wrong, although the political relationships between the two cities were good. However, the only reason they were good was because they each needed the other to survive. Knowing all this didn’t stop the children though, they had quickly become friends. Even the fact that throughout history their races were depicted as enemies didn’t faze them. They were beyond the typical angels and demons, for they were more. They believed the normal rules that bound normal angels and demons shouldn’t apply to them, or their races.
They were the beasts, a type of angel and demons that existed long before the angel and demons you know of today. Each of them had two forms, a human form, in which nothing but their wings showed, and a beast form, which even for the angel’s was a monstrous site.
However it wasn’t long before there secret friendship was found out. The girl’s future husband followed her out to the plain. She tried to talk him into being quiet, that the demon boy was harmless, but in the end he flew off to tell the girl’s parents about what was going on. In the end the two of them agreed that they had to leave, and leave now. They knew they would be followed, after all, the crowned prince of the beast demons, and the crowned princess of the beast angels was something neither side could afford to lose. So they ran, both of their races were a legend outside of their hidden cities. It wasn’t long before they came across a school that was hidden from most the world, they hoped that meant their races as well.
This is where there real story began.
