    Happy Holidays, everyone!

So what favorite holiday traditions do you celebrate? What are your plans for the holidays? Which present are you hoping for/looking forward to the most?

In my family, we open Christmas presents first thing, then eat Swedish Tea Ring for breakfast. After that, we pretty much enjoy our presents until dinnertime, usually in the afternoon.
This year, we're going to be going north, to meet with my dad's family for Christmas. I'll be gone Friday-Tuesday, so you won't be seeing me those days.
My great aunt and great-grandpa combined my Christmas and birthday present, so I'm really looking forward to seeing what that will be. I also am hoping my grandparents got me Inheritance, a book I asked for. Totally can't wait for Christmas day!

*thought it was Tis the season to be jolly...*
Ah Christmas, in my opinion the most wonderful day of the year...My plans this holiday are enjoying life at home when my sister comes home for the break (she goes to college in the north of the US) and just chilling away from school...of course, I ONLY GET 10 DAYS OFF BEFORE GOING BACK TO SCHOOL, but whatever D8 As for a present I don't really mind, my parents have emphasized the fact that we should be ready for a really humble present, so I'm not really worried about that. My greatest present will be with my family

It is, J. I realized that after I made the post, and I can't remember how to change the title of the thread. Grr.

I'll do it bro. I'm going north as well, and since i'm already freezing here, it's going to suuuck.
I get a few weeks off, and I'm hoping to get a 3DS, and mainly Pokemon. OoT can wait I need to play Pokemon!
Also, I need to finish a lot of stuff for my extremely extended family. I'm beginning to regret agreeing to go north with my aunt.

Unlike HBC and Ammy, I'm going...to a place. It involves going south, that is all I can tell you. I think I'll be able to talk to you guys while I'm down south, but don't hold me to it because I don't actually know.

As for presents, my wishlist for my birthday(it is 15 days before Christmas, do the math) and Christmas is filled with video games. So expect me to be talking about my new video games on my birthday*.

Thank you and have a good day.

*I didn't say Christmas because I won't be on that day. Why would anyone go on the Internet on Christmas anyway?

Well since there's less than a day left, I though I'd share a little story.

What does Christmas mean to me? Christmas doesn't just mean presents and food. Christmas to me means waking up at 7 o' clock on Christmas day, the light just begins to show. I slip out of bed, and tiptoe towards my door. Slowly I turn the handle, already shaking with excitement for what waits downstairs. The door creaks open, and I smile at my dog asleep alongside my parents' door. I begin my way downstairs, the wooded floor gives off a smell of cheer and joy which only can be smelled on Christmas. The light on the tree begins to blink as it comes into my sight. And jolly, presents! They lay beneath its branches waiting to be unwrapped. I smile a good ol smile as I finish my descent. But, instead of heading to the presents, I head to the radio instead. I switch it on at a decent volume because I know my family will not mind. Chills run down my back, good chills, as the Christmas music starts. I smile and dance by myself for a while, rocking around the Christmas tree. But then I must get back to my mission, the thing I came to see. It turns out, I was right! The cookies have been munched down. The milk in gulps has disappeared and only a card remains now. I pop it open without delay, and read down all the words. Well if it isn't from Santa! He is thanking me for his food! I grin and jump around in joy, he liked it after all! Now there's something else I must do, before they wake. I run to the fridge and gather all the things I need to cook nice crepés. I cook and bake and taste it some while Christmas music plays. It is then I hear the sound of my sisters, being called down by the smell. I smile as they come downstairs and gape at all the presents. Even when they're older it doesn't matter, when it comes to Christmas, everyone is a kid again. They come to me and hug me, wishing me a merry Christmas. I smile and wish in return, that they will like my food and enjoy the music as I cook. I cook they wait and wait some more until finally I'm done. But no, we cannot eat yet, the presents long to be opened, and for us to find out what's inside. Now we wait and wait again, for my parents to wake up. It's been an hour or two since I first woke up, but I don't mind the wait cause I know they'll love me more. They finally wake up to our smiling faces as they come downstairs. They smile at all the presents and sing in joy to us. We hug each other but the best is yet to come. We rush towards the tree and sit around it as I kneel. I hand out the presents to their owners as I shake some more. Some feel heavy, some feel light, but it doesn't matter, they're all presents no matter what. We tear, we pull, we leave the boxes bare. And what waits inside is so wonderful we yell out in delight. We hug again and play around, and enjoy out gifts so much. Even our parents who's gifts make them glow like a Christmas candle. After we're done, there's still the food left to be eaten. We eat, we laugh, we sing, we enjoy the cheer that Christmas brings. So you see, it's not about the presents, and it's not about the food. It's about the fact that we get to enjoy them, together once more. That is what Christmas means to me, when love and family and friends get together to enjoy. But I do admit that presents are a nice and fancy touch.

So there you have it, my little Christmas story to get us in the Christmas food. And btw, that's an 8 year old me in the story. I already VM'd you guys, for even if Christmas is tomorrow for me at least, I will most likely not see you until after, but it doesn't matter, I will again. Merry merry Christmas, guys! Hope you enjoy it so.

I sound negative with this, but I often do.

To me, Christmas partially means sitting through the most boring Christmas
Eve service possible, while being forced to sit up straight and listen to the same thing drawn out EVERY SINGLE YEAR as opposed to going earlier and hearing the same thing in about 3/4 of the time.

But otherwise, it means getting together with family.
So I'm back, or at least I will be eventually. Trying to reintegrate myself.
My 3DS Friend Code is 3437-3052-8998. I'm usually playing the MH4U demo or MH4U(When it comes out), but I'd also be down for 3DS Smash Bros.

I'm freezing but its weird how its at least 40 degrees cooler up here and I still go out in sneakers, jeans, a tee and a hoodie like I do at home. There's a few places on the ground snow sticks and ice is icy outside but I don't think we'll be getting much snow until later or something. If not, I'll just fill to mason jars with snow for my two friends who want northern snow xD
