  • Gaming can make a better world

Well my sister sent me this link on Facebook, and I found it very entertaining. Jane McGonigal speaks about gaming, solving world problems, and even makes you laugh a little. It is a very interesting video, and I thought you guys might like it, so I decided not to be a self centered egocentric guy and share it with the rest of you! : D
    So here's the link:
    http://www.ted.com/talks/lang/en/jan...ter_world.html

It's about 20 minutes, but it's worth your time I'm sure. Watch it, if you like it, tell us about it! And well, discuss!

Oh, TED. I've seen those videos in computer camp. Saw one about the 'sixth sense', a device that allows you to project something onto a wall and use some sort of motion-sensing glove to browse the internet, upload a photo, etc.
So I'm back, or at least I will be eventually. Trying to reintegrate myself.
My 3DS Friend Code is 3437-3052-8998. I'm usually playing the MH4U demo or MH4U(When it comes out), but I'd also be down for 3DS Smash Bros.
(Note to self: The hex code is #d98fef, so don't forget it)

Well there’s an idea you don’t hear everyday! I mean sure you’ve got those video game charities that run every so often, but this is taking it to a whole nother level. Actually taking the emotions that arises from playing a video game, emotions that make playing addicting, and incorporating that into real life situations is pretty cool imo. Maybe we could try doing something like that. I saw another link about school killing creativity, might watch that later when I have more time.

More 'virtuoso gamers' in Canada... AWWWW YEAAAH

I really thought this provided a different approach to gaming. Perhaps I should whoop that annoying kid's butt in a video game and see if we become friends. As I watched the segment about what gamers are good at, I got kinda freaked out as those are some traits that I and my friends both show regularly.
