I Might Start Recording Gameplay!

    I Might Start Recording Gameplay!

    Hello Age of War, I have some very exciting news. I might begin recording gameplay of the games that I have on Steam. I will have commentary also, but no facecam. I don't really have a good editing program like major YouTube gamers do, so I don't know how I would pull off facecam and gameplay in the video at the same time. If I do start this, I will be playing both the Portal games, Half 2-HL2 Ep.2(I might do a Half Life 2 Lost Coast video while playing Half Life 2), and heck, maybe a bit Team Fortress 2. Hopefully, I will also record some Torchlight 2 or Amnesia(when I get it) in the future.

    So, what do you guys think? Should I actually start recording stuff? Or should I just throw this idea aside and never touch it again?

    Also, anyone looking to friend me on Steam, I want to change my username before I friend anybody, so if there is a way to do that, please tell me.

    It's something that I've been tempted to do as well. I just finished playing a couple rounds of Hyrule: Total War. I'm going to re-attempt at making the Hyrule Invasion battle with the Gerudos and Stalfos, and Twili with some Hylians and Shiekah. We'll see how that goes though. As for you, That'd be cool. I'm too dumb for the Portal games so I don't do them. As for facecam, if you have a webcam, you can just record yourself playing as well as basically video shopping yourself into the image. So it's two cameras in one video. As for the video recording, I'm curious as to what you plan to use. Last I knew, Steam didn't have a video recording program. Will you be using FRAPS?

      In fact, yeah, I'll be using FRAPS. Works a lot better than the other thing I tried.

        If I recall correctly, doesn't Fraps just record small few seconds videos? The work comes in where you have to string em together?

          Well, there is a version of FRAPS that does that. I have already done a test recording (without commentary) to see if I had that version, but it appears I have the other version.
