    General Gaming Discussion

    (I placed this here because gaming is kind of a 'nerdy' thing. If it belongs in General Discussion, I apologize)

    I figure what with the Community Thread, it would be nice to have a thread just to talk about gaming. What sort of games are you playing? What are you looking forward to? What with E3 recent I imagine many people are hyped up.

    I myself just bought Far Cry 3 and The Witcher 2, so I'm playing them quite a bit. Far Cry 3 is quickly becoming one of my new favorites and I dig the combat in Witcher 2, but it crashes quite a bit on my system(not sure why yet).

    I'm fully planning to pre-purchase Saint's Row IV at the first chance I get. I'm also planning to buy a PS4, if only for Destiny and Infamous: Second Son. I'm also really hyped for the new Smash Bros(My friend and I have been arguing over who gets to use the Wii Fit Trainer).

    Either way, what sort of gaming stuff have you guys been up to?
    So I'm back, or at least I will be eventually. Trying to reintegrate myself.

    After getting stuck in the Sky City, and mom beating Twilight Princess, we moved on to Skyward Sword shenanigans. This time I stayed far ahead of her in the game, and I'm to the end. Right before you go fight the demon king. The game made me cry at least twice, especially with what happened to Girahim, and what happened to Zelda near the end. This was my actual reaction when the thing happened to Girahim after you beat the crap out of him.



    I have that pang of sadness at the end of a game, where you just don't want it to end so you try to prolong it with silly sidequests. But I finished nearly all of them. ;^;
    So I've been trying to help her; she's in the Fire Sanctuary trying to get the last Sacred Flame, and she's going to meet my (favorite) dragon.

    After this though, we're going to be fresh outta games, so I'm going to try to get her to buy Wind Waker again, because hhhhhhhhhhh what a great game.
    I also played Gears of War 3 with my friend a few weeks ago, and it's really not that bad. :u

      Well I'm not one to buy many games, specially when I'm low on cash as is now. However, Zelda Wii U is really pulling at my pockets to get a Wii U. Probably won't happen, but I'd love it. I've also been wanting to play The Last of Us lately.
      I've been playing a lot of Age of Empires III on my computer and finished Oracle of Seasons. Halfway through Ages, and have barely started Minish Cap.
      I've been hearing plenty about the whole Xbox One and PS4 thing but I'm not much for knowing about consoles, so I'm pretty null on the subject.
      I'm also 3/4 done through replaying Wind Waker, and I've been hearing a lot of complaints about the upcoming Wind Waker HD. Do you guys feel like it wasn't a good idea? Idk.
      That's me on videogames. I'm also super hyped on Super Smash Bros. Once again, Wii U y can't i buy u??

        I think the only complaint on Wind Waker HD is it's look. I really like it; it's gorgeous and reminds me of Okami. If I remember correctly though, people weren't too pleased with the art style to begin with??? I think the team worked really hard on the new art style, and I think it's a big step in graphics, because even if a story has an amazing storyline, graphics do play a small part. (As much as I continue to say that graphics don't matter.) It might be the shading that gets people, I'm not a fan, but I don't think it's too much of a bad thing. As usual though, I'll only be able to see it in LPs or official screencaps/trailors, due to my family's lack of gaming funds.

          From what I've heard people were complaining because the only improvement was the graphics, and they were saying it wasn't even that good. They thought when they heard "remake" that there were gonna be new things added to it instead of just changing the graphics. So far I think the only real change has been that there is now a "fast" mode when sailing? I think so. I think people were also angry because fans have been asking a lot for remakes like Majora's Mask, and instead they remade the Wind Waker which no one even thought needed graphic improvement. Once again, I'm not sure, but that's what I've read.
