    Doctor Who Discussion

    It's about time we made this thread. Here is where the Whovians can just chill and talk about Doctor Who. Use spoilers appropriately. Make sure you note which Episode/Episodes should be watched before reading the spoiler (additionally, you can also note the Season).

    Now I'm just going to start talking about random Doctor Who stuff.

    Between Matt Smith and David Tennant (which are the only two Doctors I've watched), I can't tell which Doctor is my favorite. Is Christopher Eccleston's season worth watching? Or any of the other Doctors?

    Ooooh, Doctor Who thread, I like Doctor Who.

    To answer both your questions with my opinions, I'd say that yes Eccleston is worth watching, however I am kinda biased with that answer as he was my first Doctor and as the case is with many people your first becomes your favorite. As for Doctors previous to him... Some are quite entertaining such as the 4th played by Tom Baker, I'd advise watching some of his episodes.

      Yes, Eccleston is definitely worth watching, especially knowing the things later involving Saxon. Additionally, I'm surprised you don't wonder about Bad Wolf. It's a very very significant part of the New Who. As for previous Doctors, everyone seems to enjoy Four, but I've only watched three, and stuff involving the Master.

        I know what Bad Wolf is, but I started watching Doctor Who at Season 2 because it seemed like Tennant was more popular (or maybe it was because he was kind of the symbol of Doctor Who for me prior to watching any episodes).

          Just shut up and watch Eccleston. One of my best friends liked him because of his impartial morality from what we know was the Time War ending. You also meet Harriet Jones properly and see why she became PM of Britain by Series 2.

            I watched "Rose" at like one in the morning after watching "A Good Man Goes to War" and I have to say, I like this Doctor very much right off the bat.

            Who do you guys think is the best companion? I know that for me Rory is definitely the best, closely followed by Rose and Captain Jack. Also, I don't hate/dislike any companions, so my list is more like from best to okay rather than love to hate.

            Additionally, who do you guys think is the best Doctor? For me, David Tennant is still the best, because Matt Smith has failed to surpass him (again, like with the companions, I don't dislike any Doctors, I just like some better than others). However, I'm really liking Eccleston so far, so maybe my favorite Doctor will change soon.
