  • NES Revival?

Alright, so Google has released a new cartridge for the best selling Nintendo console ever sold, the Nintendo Entertainment System, commonly, NES.

"But Kairu, what could Google ever do to make the NES fun again?" They're releasing a new cartridge with updated mechanics to essentially allow it to connect to Google Maps. Now I'm sure you're not thinking it's such a big deal. I'll explain:

8-bit graphics back then were state of the art. Nowadays we don't give it much thought other than "Oh well that's how it used to be." So how will Google Maps work? Well they've updated the internal layout of the NES cartridge to allow it to recognize voice recognition as well as a wired ethernet cable to allow it to connect to the internet. After all, that's the only thing, really, to connect to Google Maps. Basically, it's an 8-bit version of the popular Google App and it looks rather killer, in my opinion. Below is a video further explaining the use and how-to of the cartridge:

If I was to make a wild stab in the dark, it might be that Google's contribution to the NES may spark an NES revival. Now with all that information sinking in, tell me, what's your opinion?
