So I was reading through this thread in ZD and I have to say it gave me a few laughs...
...as well as some creepiness.
So I thought I'd bring it over here. We all have silly childhood fears. Some may be typical and some may be not, but many times it is easy to think about those fears now and laugh (even though they used to scare us to death before). Pretty self explanatory, I want you to tell me your silly childhood fears.
Me, well that I can remember... Many of you might remember the then popular TV show Goosebumps. I, for one, do. I remember this one story that really creeped me out. It was a two episodes part and it was called "Cry of the Cat, Part 1" and "Part 2". For some reason it used to freak me out. There are quite a few episodes/books that made me be scared but I read through their synopsis now and I laugh. The bug eating man... *shivers*
Another thing that made me scared was a dream I once had, for some reason. It was me and my two childhood friends trapped in a house. Suddenly the mom of one of them would come and turn into the stereotypical witch with the wart and begin turning us to stone. I was always the last one alive and I woke up sweaty and shaking D8
Another dream that scared me was one where I was climbing a giant mountain with my family, and I was the last one on the line. When I say climbing I mean like when you try to climb a wall, and when you looked down there was no ground, only clouds. Suddenly I slipped, the line holding us together snapped, and I went down, down, down, down... The horrible feeling went on until I disappeared into the clouds and woke up. When I woke up I felt how I "fell" on the bed, as though I had been floating or something. The difference with this dream, however, is that it truly traumatized my young mind and I now have Acrophobia. I can't even lean over a second-floor handrail at a mall and look down without feeling queasy. Even when other people look down I feel like that because I think the wall is going to break and they're going to fall.
So anyways, those are some of my silly childhood fears, what are yours?
