I like your viewpoint, that it's a deplorable act, but one that could be used in the war on terror, because the terrorists have already violated the Geneva Convention, will violate it again, and we have no chance of reconciliation with them after this is over. One thing you maybe could have fixed is the 'saving your family justifies anything' example. If I held a gun to your parents' head and would shoot them unless you killed all other life on earth, is it justified to nuke everything?
