  • Zelda Main Bad Guys

this is pretty much a discussion about main villans, eg majora, ghiarhim and ganondorf. here you can discusses your favourites, your least favourite and why. im ganna start with discussing my feelings for the three above (cause I don't really know much about any others)

first up, ganondorf/Ganon we all know who he is, he is the main bad guy for almost every game. he is a bad guy who is always on his high horse and constantly underestimating link. he looks pretty epic but that's it, he pretty much just does the same thing every time and doesn't really change his personality either. the only game, and I mean the ONLY game, I have any real respect for his personality is wind waker, he's cool, clam and collected. he made his plans, he thought it out, he knew what link was really capable of, but things never go the way you expect them to, and that's the reason he lost, he planned it out and it didn't work and you know what unlike every other game he's in, he doesn't throw a huge tantrum about it, he accepts it.

next up, majora, the freaking freakiest boss that Zelda has ever had. why? one reason, he doesn't give a *** about anything. he just wants to destroy the world. majora is an evil demon possessing a skull kid, and yes I say A skull kid because we all know there is more then one. majora is a twisted evil thing, seriously, and you know what, we don't have any idea what its true form is, if it has any. we see several forms, the mask, majora's incarnation and majora's wrath, nothing in the game states weather or not it is its true form. plus you know it's bad if *** creepy happy mask salesman wants it.... you know im not sure what more creepy, the happy mask salesman or majora itself, both are pretty *** creepy.

lastly, is my all time favourite zelda villan ever...... ghiarhim. god his name gives me chills, the good kind. now some of you may be thinking "ghiarhim, he isn't main bad guy in skyward, demise is" well, you would be wrong, in my view anyway. the only time you saw demise was in battle, in my books to be a main villain, you have to see them and speak to them outside battle, even Ganondorf from Twilight Princess is seen more (seen not heard about) then demise. sure you hear about demise from pretty much the moment you meet ghiarhim, but you don't see him and the imprisoned doesn't really count, its mindless beast who only knows one thing destroy. as we saw (or at least those who have played the game) demise is a rather intelligent being, he is doing what demons do, try and take over something they will never have, Lucifer comes to mind with this, in fact I think it is highly likely he is Zelda's version of the devil, look at all the similarities (no offense to anyone who believes in that stuff). ok back on track now, the reasons I love ghiahim, he is one twisted mother bleeper. he is so calm and collected, but its just a freaking act, deep down inside he is insane and crazy and aggressive and angry, which is why I love him, that and he is one of the creepiest zelda bosses ever, second really to only majora. he has so much personality, and he isn't afraid to go on a psychotic rant, and instead of underestimating link (like ganondorf) he just thinks of link as nothing, just an annoyance its kinda funny, I mean ganondorf see's link as a threat, just a small, ghiahim on the other hand, sees link as nothing, just little toy he enjoys messing with in his spare time.

so that's my thoughts on the matter, what about you guys, do you agree with what I say or do you think im way off?

I can agree with you really evreywhere on that. And, with that, I guess I'll bring up a few more villains:
    NIGHTMARE (Link's Awakening)
Nobody knows anything about him, except, like SS's Demise, he is seen as your greatest fear. However, I feel that he has better control over this power, since he is shown in multiple forms throughout the same game. Also, he has great power, able to put (and keep) a deity-like figure, such as the Wind Fish, asleep. It is theorized that he was using Koholint Island (correct me if I'm wrong) as a base of operations for a world takeover. If this is correct, it is a well-thought-out plan: a land where the people will stay the same, and for the whole not rebel. Plus, no other countries have power there, making him untouchable. He would have succeeded, too, if not for Link, who he had not expected to show up.
    Next, we have...
    BELLUM (Phantom Hourglass)
Bellum is an evil spirit who has locked away the soul of the Ocean King (possibly connected to the Wind Fish) Oshus. Once again, a power that has the strength to hinder deities. This, I believe, is a power shown throughout most Zelda villains (including the ones Mids mentioned above). He is an ancient entity from the mirror-realm that is the Land of the Ocean King. Now, I have this whole theory wrapping up Bellum with Majora and Nightmare, but I won't bring that up here. All I Know is, besides his power and his feud with Oshus, we know next-to-nothing about Bellum.
    I'll post more soon.
