  • THEORY: Pocket Dimensions

Ok So we all know that Our Hero carries a Ridiculous Amount of stuff. From Deku nuts, to magic beans, to hammers twice his size and weight. But How does he do this? Simple answer. Pocket Dimensions.

Links Equipment is stored in a sort of, "Pocket Realm", if you will, which is magically bound to the Opening of the pouch. Theres a simular system used in With chests and some ladders. When a puzzle is solved or enemy beaten, the Pocket the chest is stored in Breaks down Due to the fact that the magic sustaining it is broken. Ergo revealing the chest, ladder, ect.

Theoretically, a being with a basic grasp on multidimensional magic COULD use one of these dimensions for hiding.

no offense but this theory seems a little loose, and almost like you're trying to apply logic to something that doesn't need it. above all, link cant use magic, and he would need magic to access the pocket dimension as you call it and before you say "he has used magic plenty of times" no that's wrong, he can use magical items that he has received through his journey, he has never used his own magic as far as I've seen anyway.

Mids, I hate to rain on your parade, but here's a quote from the Zelda Wiki article on Din's Fire:

Din's Fire is an item from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. It is a powerful magic spell given to Link by the Great Fairy of Magic who resides in a fountain at the Dead End outside Hyrule Castle. As its name suggests, Din's Fire produces a dome of fire when activated, which engulfs nearby objects in flame. When used, it drains six units from the Magic Meter. Din's Fire may be used both when Link is a child and when he is an adult.
The Magic Bar IS Link's Magic, however, the whole "Timelord" tech is something I don't buy.

Yup, the other two spells, Farore's Wind and Nayru's Love are also magic. Since they're spells, the icon only shows them as an item versus actually being a real spell. However, I did a quick search and they're the only things considered as non-magical items.

also What i meant with the chests/ladders was. the pocket dimention is magically bound to the enemys lifeforce or the magic in a switch/crystal/eye switch. when the enemys die the bond is released and the magic supporting it dissappears distroyng it and forcing the item and chest out.
