I read a few days ago about how Shiek was officially female, as then today noticed that The SB sticky had been changed to show that link. I decided to ask what people think of this revelation.

In the Ocarina of Time manga, it showed that Shiek was just basically Zelda in Shiekah clothing. I mean, I know Nintendo didn't make it, but I thought it was accurate. Plus, I thought Shiek was a girl anyway. So Nintendo making it official that Shiek is girl doesn't really shock me.Comment

Yeah, me either. Even before my cousins spoiled Sheik's identity, I always figured she was female. Confused the heck out of me any time someone called her a "he", and I'd have to read the sentence several times over and decide it was a grammatical error. And then, of course, laugh that someone would let that slide in a popular game. :PPhillipians 4:13 - I can do everything through him who gives me strength.

Yeah, I'm really not surprised. The debate was shaky at best, using professional standards to nitpick and cut down the debate saying Sheik was a man. Then again, looking from the game's characters' perspective, Ruto would think Sheik was a man. Zelda is awfully flat-chested and men can have very feminine bodies. I think this debate was mostly formed from Zelda fans who ran out of things to fuss about.sigpic
