So, as luck would have it, two days after unwittingly activating the glitch, I found myself stuck beyond sentient thought as I approached the last leg of the game. A Google search for Skyward Sword brought up this article: http://venturebeat.com/2011/12/06/ga...w-to-avoid-it/
In short, there's a point closer to the end of the game where you have to travel around and find three legendary dragons and get them to sing a song for you. Unfortunately, while you have the option to visit them in any order you see fit, if the Thunder Dragon isn't visited last, you're screwed. If you've saved, (and let's be realistic here, why wouldn't you?), there's no fixing it, no going back. Your only options are;
a) continue from an earlier save file if you had the sense to copy it before hand, or;
b) start. all. over. again.
Sadly, I've never been one to copy my files as a precaution. (livin' my life on the edge! Takin' BIG risks baby! )
Hopefully you read this before you befall this same tragedy.
