  • favoirite Zelda boss and dungeon?

ok I'm kinda following J's idea here, expect I'm narrowing it down a bit. what is your favoirite boss and dungeon in the Zelda universe (the boss doesn't nesserarlly have to be from your farovite dungeon, so don't worry about that)

my favoirite dungeon was always the spirit temple in ocarina of time. honestly I always throught spirit to be the most mysterious of all of the elements or whatever you want to call me. most might argue darkness but the truth is you know where darkness lies, you can't exactly see it but you know when it's around (unless your stuoid and ignore your intuition) but you can't see spirit, you can't even know what it is. your spirit (in my mind) is what makes you, you, like your soul (I've always believed them to be the same thing) the spirit temple, for me, was beautifully down, the music was amazing and I have always been in awe of it to this day.

a close second though is the third temple in skyward sword (forgot what it's called) and the third is the shadow temple from ocarina to time.

my favoirite boss is twinrova from ocarina of time, I always found it a fun battle, but what got me was when they fused together, I always found it to be beautifully down (even if when you hit her with your sword she makes dirty noises)

second would probably go to the girhahim battles..... yes I'm an offical girhaim fan girl, deal with it.

third would go to, even if it is technically a miniboss, dark link in ocarina of time (more epic then the boss of the water temple if you ask me)

Welp my favorite dungeon would be... I might be crazy but it is a water-based temple. The Great Bay Temple from Majora's Mask to be exact. I don't know why, but something about the mechanics of the Temple really attract me. For example I loved the idea about following the pipes to get around the temple, which helped a lot if you were lost (If you think about it they added the same thing to the Water Temple in OoT 3D, except they weren't exactly pipes). Also, the ice arrows are one of my favorite items, and anyone who has played through MM knows you get them in the Great Bay Temple. Having to freeze and unfreeze the water before getting to the boss room to move around the contraptions is another example of the things I like about the temple. And finally, I love the fact that the boss is a giant piranha, for whatever reason.
That I say this temple is my favorite doesn't mean I like it so much more than the other temples. Really I love them all just the same but it is little things that made me choose this one over all the others.

As for the boss, I'm going to have to agree with Mids. Twinrova is amazing in both of her forms. I loved the way they implemented the Mirror Shield so that they hit each other, and if you missed the effects for the fire/lava and ice look pretty cool. Also when you have to wait for your shield to charge and the noise it makes that is constantly reminding you (almost...almost...now!) I thought was great and it really makes it my favorite battle with a boss.

So Twinrova and Great Bay Temple :>

Wow, my favorite Temple. Well, I'll list all my favorites from the games I've played, and I'll see which one I think is my favorite after that.

OoT: not sure. Unfortunately for me, my cousins showed me how to do most of the temples when I was old enough for it to stick, so I never really beat any of them on my own, and thus never had any particular favorite. I suppose I'd pick the Shadow Temple, because it freaks me out. I love being scared because I get older, it gets so much harder.
MM: Snowhead. Hard, but not so much that I had to pull out the walkthrough.
LttP: Tutle Rock. Dunno why, so don't ask.
OoA: Wow, that's a tough one. I think I'll say Moonlight Grotto, because it was challenging without being overly so.
TP: Temple of Time was pretty cool.
PH: Honestly, nothing in this game really stood out to me. Yes, I played it and beat it (almost without use of the walkthrough too), but nothing stood out enough that I'd call it my favorite. So moving on.
SS: Wow, that's a tough one. I liked them all a lot, so a favorite is difficult. I think I'll say Sandship, although that's not a definate. lol

So overall, I think I have to say it's MM's Snowhead. But again, that might change.

I'll do the same thing for fave boss, list the games and their fave bosses, then pick my fave of them.

OoT: Dark Link, even though he's a mini-boss
      MM: Goht
LttP: The one from Turtle Rock, whatever his name is.
OoA: That witch in Moonlight Grotto, I think. Hard to choose.
TP: Lot of cool bosses, but none of them really challenging, so I think I'll say Ganondorf. He was the only one to really test my mettle, and I do love a good test (as long as it's not school).
PH: Same issue as with the dungeons. None stood out, therefore, none are favorite.
SS: Colocktus. I know I totally misspelled that, but my name-remembering brother is in the other room.

So overall, it's a fight between OoT's Dark Link, SS's Colocktus, and MM's Goht. All of them were difficult, and yet fun. I'm not going to try choosing an absolute favorite. lol
Phillipians 4:13 - I can do everything through him who gives me strength.
