  • least favorite Zelda game?

we all have the one Zelda game where we think "what that's it?" or where you just wanna rage constantly at it. for me that game is one simple thing..... four swords adventure.... now don't get me wrong, I like the game (I even got stuck on the village of the blue maden level for god knows how long, which I liked) it has interesting puzzles and is actually really fun to play as four links (even if your the only one playing) I just think it could have been done better.

the first thing I think about when I think of four swords adventure is the overworld..... oh wait, what overworld, it's all level select. one of my favoirite things about Zelda is wondering over hyrule, discoving all the secrets of hyrule. now this wouldn't have bothered me so much if the levels wernt so one way, which is the second reason I don't like it as much. expect for a few levels in which you have to do kind of a trading sequence (such as the village of the blue maden) and the actual dungeons you found at the end of most of the areas, you pretty much just went one way through thing.

now for the good points, I kinda liked how you didn't keep your items and had to find them throughout the areas so you could continue on and sometimes the items weren't easy to find, so you had to really look for the items you needed. the next thing I liked was the graphics, I don't know about you guys but I always believed the 2D graphics were some of the best looking. I also loved playing as the four links and I believe it could have been something amazing if it had of been done right.

the story remains neither good nor bad because it was a general "Zelda gets kippnapped and you have to save her" kinda thing.

Well I don't know what to say. I really have loved every Zelda game I've played. I can't say I've played all of them, but the ones I have I'd liked a lot. OoT/MM I love, so that's not it. I thought Wind Waker was very fun and interesting. Skyward Sword was incredible. And Twilight Princess was very entertaining. LoZ was challenging in a good way, and the others have their good and bads as well. I guess if I had to choose one it would be Link's Adventure. Don't get me wrong, it's not exactly a bad game. And the fact that it is one of the harder ones isn't what killed it for me. It was the playstyle. I know Nintendo was trying out styles at the time to see which one was better for Zelda, but still I didn't like it. However, it doesn't mean I hate it, but it's just my least favorite one till now.
