I also choose the shoutbox ban because NakedCrook and Midna haven't done enough to deserve a temp ban.

In addition, a suggestion was made to me that personal matters shouldn't be publicly discussed on the shoutbox. They're still allowed, but to keep them contained to the appropriate forum or in a private chat or even PM. This seems to be where a lot of conflict and opposing opinions come into play, and I feel that this would be a good idea. However, I want to run it by everyone to see opinions.sigpic

Hmm....whoever sent this to you has a good idea. If you guys take it, I will.

"Personal matters" meaning just that. It includes mental breakdowns, lonely and single and wanting to complain, to even the happy stuff like a new little cousin or a new puppy. Anything that would be considered as personal stays off of the public shoutbox and kept, well, personal. And no worries, I've talked a little bit to Jon and he seems open to whatever we do decide.sigpic

I will admit that that's true Ryli, but sometimes things are just too personal to say on the Shoutbox, and it should stay either off Age of War or in a PM to somebody.
As far as everything goes, I read through all the posts and do admit, Zeke should've banned Midna and Naked Crook, maybe even Blendercat, but I'm not sure what happened. At least to keep anything from escalating into what it became, and they could've stayed banned until Kairu got on and dealt with their banning, instead of waking up to the.. ashes of the inferno that the argument seemed to have become.
I agree with what everybody seems to want to do as for punishment, tempbanning and sending out a PM for final warnings. I believe that Kairu should have the last say in what the PMs contain, and should be bent just a little bit for each member, to adress what they did and how they're going to be punished if things like that happen again. Although, I believe the end punishment for everybody should be the same, so nobody is punished more or less.
I wasn't here for the arguement, as J said, I went to bed right before it started. I don't even remember who was on at the time, but apparently it was at least J, and I believe Zeke.
After the banning that Zeke should've done, he could've sent out PMs to each member that was banned from the shoutbox and explained why they were banned and how long they were banned.Old Age of War stuff here:
I don't think any of my characters will ever be in the same place at once but if they do I'll color code them. :u
Zaria O'Bell navigator for the White Wolf
Amaterasu , the homewrecker.
Saharah Cole, rotting in a thread.
And new to the group! Jackylin Smithnoise, a Hylian come to Termina.
Coming Soon: Katelynn Baldassari, part of a thieving group.

Okay, I want everyone to keep in mind I could've banned them too. I'm tired of you guys saying that it was up to Zeke when in truth it wasn't. I shared responsiblity too.

Disclaimer: I wasn't here, my advice is most likely useless.
This is a mess that I'm not sure I want to stick my nose into, but Kairu wants my opinion, so here goes. This could probably all have been avoided if one of the Zs banned them, but I don't blame them. Still, we should maybe get a little more shoutbox ban-happy. If it averts a problem, pat ourselves on the back, good job everyone. If it wasn't needed, no harm done.
Naked Crook and and Midna should probably be tempbanned for a few days, along with an explaining PM. As for BC, I don't know what to do. His advice might have helped, but shouldn't have gone in the main shoutbox. I don't know what was motivating him though, telling Mid to cool it and not to listen to him, or him still being angry with NC. Do what you will with him, he's running short on second chances.

I think it's really good that Z is taking responsibility too. Honestly, I probably wouldn't have banned them either, even though I should, just because I would want to get a second opinion before I did that. Also, I think saying "refrain from talking about personal matters in the SB" would be going a bit too far. Maybe just "don't talk about things that youmay not like (or can't handle the answer to)."

No, because I think you still don't understand. It would be worded as: "Don't talk about your problems publicly on the shoutbox." It can stay by other means, but that's the common link between all of the conflicts that have occurred.sigpic
