Xannon ran into the desert, panting. He looked up and realized that he was almost at Gerudo Fortress. He breathed slowly.
If I could get a horse, perhaps I could escape...
He sneaked forward, trying to locate the stables. Then, he heard breathing behind him. He turned and a Gerudo grabbed him by the neck. She looked him in the eye. "Do you know where Rose is!?"
"Wh-wh-who?" He had to struggle to get the words out. The Gerudo dropped him. "Tell me where Rose is!" Xannon looked up. "...no!" He jumped and slashed at the Gerudo and ran for Hyrule Field. He heard the Gerudo cry 'Intruder!" He still ran. He heard hooves behind him. He turned to see a Gerudo on a horse. He brought up his sword, then saw the flash as the Gerudo's sword flew through the air.
She threw it!
That was his last thought before it pierced his chest and he fell to the ground, totally limp and stone dead.
