Sephira smiled up at James, then rubbed Star's neck. The cheetah lay back down and rested her head on her paws again. Sephira smiled at her and suspected it wouldn't be long before she was sound asleep again. Sephira still didn't understand why both of her animals slept when they could, although they had attempted to explain it to her before. She had learned to accept it, though, and let it go.Phillipians 4:13 - I can do everything through him who gives me strength.

"It is nice and peaceful," Elliot said reassuringly. "So you don't have to be nervous, okay? Come on over here by my side. You want to be able to see the others, don't you?" He gave her hand a squeeze and steered her to the direction of their house. As they got closer and closer, he felt a smile grow on his face. As nice as it had been staying at Avalona's farmland, it was definitely great to be back home. He could tell that Midnight felt exactly the same way. The wolf was already eagerly bounding past them to the house, as if sensing a familiar presence. Was Sephira here? Thinking of her made him think of James. He wondered if James had gotten back alright and had been able to get himself some supper. Well, there was only one way to find out.
He stopped at the front of the door and knocked.Comment

James smiled back at Sephira and chuckled a little at Star's laziness. He was about to say that maybe they should go look for Elliot now even though he had said otherwise when he heard a knocking on the door. He frowned since he didn't think of many people that would come visit, and he was almost sure it couldn't be Elliot or Rose, since this was there house and, after all, who knocked on the door to their own house? He got to his feet and stretched a little before striding to the door. As he turned the doorknob and pulled it open, a certain familiar wolf dashed into the house and hurried to Sephira. Knowing that Midnight obviously hadn't been the one knocking, James pulled the door the rest of the way open, excitement already making its way onto his face. As soon as he saw them, he grinned. Sephira looked up as she heard the knocking. James opened the door and Midnight came barreling in. She laughed as the wolf skidded to a stop in front of her and started to lick her face. She rubbed behind his ears. "Midnight! I've missed you!"
Star glared up at the exstatic wolf. "Must you? I was taking a nap."
"Nice to see you too," he answered, bumping her shoulder. She gave a purr.
Sephira glanced up again. "Hey, Elliot! How are you doing?" She didn't directly ask about his arm, not wanting James to know that he wasn't the only one she accidently burned.Phillipians 4:13 - I can do everything through him who gives me strength.

Amaterasu heard Midnight bark at Sephira and Star and looked up at them, smiling. "Midnight!" she said happily, kneeling down to pet him when he was finished greeting Sephira and Star. "Elliot! Rose!" James said enthusiastically. Elliot gave her an encouraging smile, trying to hide the sadness in it. He'd hoped that seeing her friends would spark her memory, but it looked like it hadn't. He wondered how he would explain the situation to the others, then decided to just say. "You guys, Rose is...she's...well, she's gone and misplaced her memories! Wouldn't you know it?" He tried to laugh to ease the situation, but it came out sounding forced and choked. He bit his lip and continued. "We're not sure how it happend...but it happened."Comment

At first James frowned at Elliot. He had never heard the guy sound so...high-strung. He considered the fact that it might be a poor joke, but looking at Rose's face and listening to the anxiousness in Elliot's voice, he dismissed that thought. He took a step towards Rose, eyeing her studiously. He was silent for a moment, not knowing what to do. Suddenly he realized this must be very hard for the girl, and he felt they should try and help as much as they could. With one final glance at Elliot, he smiled as warmly and friendly as he could. "Hey, Rose! I'm Jameson, but you always called me James. Come on, meet your friends...again!" he laughed warmly, extending his arm towards the others to show her that they were cool so she could walk up and say hi, and to let her know that she had nothing to fear.Comment

Elliot looked away from Amaterasu, breaking eye contact, and shook his head. "Don't worry about it. Your intention wasn't to hurt." His words were light, but his heart couldn't muster up the strength to put on a smile. Taking Jame's cue, he began introducing Rose to the others in the room. "This is Amaterasu," he said, nodding once to the woman in front of him. "And this is Sephira." He motioned to the other woman. "That cheetah next to her is Star." But you already know all of this, his mind wanted to shout. Instead, he kept his lips pressed tightly shut and silently waited for the others to respond.Comment

Sephira eyed Rose as Ellio mentioned her memory loss. If it was a joke, she wasn't going to be fooled. She didn't like this, something just felt off to her. Regardless, she smiled warmly at the Gerudo. "May the stars watch you, Rose. I pray Nayru will give you your memories back." She patted Midnight and Star, then stood and left the room. It wasn't to insult Rose, she just wanted to get away from her. After all, the Gerudo was James' adoptive mother, and mothers tended to be protective of their boys.Phillipians 4:13 - I can do everything through him who gives me strength.

James eyed Ammy curiously, after all she did seem to want to redeem herself for what she'd done. His eyes passed over Elliot, stopping only momentarily while he spoke, before they moved to Sephira. He tried to catch her eye, but she didn't seem to see him. When she left abruptly, he wondered why it was, and then looked at Star and Midnight to see if they had reacted, but he could see Star was still trying to take a nap, and Midnight was just sitting there. Neither of them had done anything out of the usual. He looked at Rose when she spoke. "Food?" he asked her, before smiling kindly, in his mind an idea enlightening him. "You know, we already ate and everything but...I wouldn't mind going with Elliot to get you something," he said casually. "I've been wanting to go to the market anyways" He nodded happily at Rose and then turned to Elliot. There were two reasons why he wanted to go: He wanted to ask Elliot about what'd happened with everything, and he had seen the stress on the guy's face when he introduced Rose to everyone. Surely all this was taking its toll on him, and James was sure a walk without needing to worry would help him. Not to mention the fact that he thought Rose being with the girls alone might help spark something inside her, or Sephira might be able to help her. Then there was the fact that getting Rose food counted as helping her in some way.
Maybe it was more than two reasons.
