James walked into the village out of breath. Maybe he shouldn't have run all the way from Elliot's pyre to here. He made sure Sephira's letter was still in his pocket and began looking around. Something told him Rose wouldn't be at the house. Her new memory-less self hadn't seemed to like it very much with Elliot there, so she probably hated the place without Elliot. He didn't know where to begin looking so he decided to ask around. After a while some people mentioned seeing a girl crying but they couldn't remember exactly where. One directed him to a place near the entrance so he went there. Sure enough, the girl was there. "Rose?" James asked tentatively.

rose looked up in shock, unable to see whoever it was through her tears. she sound realized it was James though and started to wipe away her tears "oh" she said "it's you, have you guys found the guy who killed Elliot yet" although her sadness had taken her over, her anger was still boiling hot.

"Erm..." began James. He wasn't exactly sure how Rose would take the news so he decided to let the letter speak for itself. "Not exactly. Sorry, but Sephira did tell me to give you something." He pulled the letter from his pocket and thought a bit before giving it to her. Seeing her so broken was incredibly hard, specially since he felt the same way on the inside. Without further ado, he took a deep breath and held out the letter to her.

rose read the letter, and couldn't believe what it said. the person had killed Elliot was nothing but a boy, a kokiri. she slowly got to her feet, tearing up the letter. without another word she turned and walked away, climbing up the tallest building she could find.

axel was wondering around town when she saw the girl high atop the building. she was standing on the edge and he could easily tell what she was about to do. axel ran as fast as he could, hoping he could get to her before she jumped.

James watches as Rose ripped the letter with wide eyes. He wondered what it had said. "Rose?" he said gently, but she didn't seem to hear him and began climbing. It took him a second to realize what she was doing. However, when he did he sprang into action. "Rose! Come on, get down. It's not that bad! Rose!" She didn't hear him. He was paralyzed, not knowing what to do. He didn't notice Axel rushing to help her.

rose was in her own world, she couldn't hear James calling out for her, couldn't see axel running to save her, all she knew was the ground below her and the hole elliot's death had left in her heart "why" she said, as the tears feel down her face "why did you have to take him?" with that she stepped off the edge of the building, falling to the ground without so much as a scream.

axel was nearly there when the girl jumped, seeing her fall he quickly speed up, running as fast as he could. he was lucky, he reached the girl just in time to catch her, in the end both of them only had a few cuts and bursies. he noticed even though the girl was alive she didn't seem to notice him as the thick tears ran down her face. all he could hear was her cring and her soft words "kill me"

"No Rose!" yelled James when she stepped off the edge. He gasped when the guy caught her before hitting the ground. After a second he ran towards the place where they were on the ground. He dropped to his knees next to Rose. "No, Rose, why? This isn't what Elliot would've wanted..." he mumbled while noticing that she was alive. He looked up at the guy who had saved her. "Thank you."

rose was too lost in her own mind, she didn't even notice James or hear what he had said, she didn't even notice axel. she was too far gone, her mind and completely snapped.

axel stood up slowly, making sure he didn't move the girl too much "I'm guessing her name is rose" axel said to the boy "I don't believe Elliot would be a girls name.... are you friends with this girl, if you are do you know somewhere we could take her, I believe she needs to rest, right now her mind is lost to the world"

James stopped waiting for Rose to responde and looked at Axel. "Yeah, her name's Rose. I have a house a couple streets down from here, we can take her there," he said. He didn't even wonder who the guy was or why he was helping, but he knew he needed to get Rose to the house. He knew it's what Elliot would've wanted. He stood up and began shaking Rose. "We need to get you to the house, Rose, you need to get there." He sighed. "I guess we'll have to carry her," he said to the guy.

"I have her, just show me the way" axel said simply "might I ask, what has the girl been through if she was so willing to kill herself? and who is this Elliot person? was he her lover?" so many questions swarmed in his head about this mysterious girl, he needed to make sure she was ok.

James nodded and said, "This way." He began walking in the direction the house was in, not looking back to make sure they were following. "Elliot...yes he was her lover. Although you could say they were more than that. He...um he passed away very recently and she took it badly. Not to mention she recently lost her memory which only adds to the trouble." James sighed, he couldn't believe all this had happened in the expanse of less than a week.

"poor girl, so much trouble for one so young" axel said kindly as he followed the boy "was she a trouble magnet before she lost her memory, or was that a normal thing for her. I get the feeling it was a normal thing for her"

James smiled remembering all the times the girl had been kidnapped. It was hard not to think of her as a trouble magnet. "Yeah, it was common bad things happened to her. Don't know why," he said. They had reached the house and he unlocked the door with the key Elliot had given him. It filled him with pain to remember. "You can put her on the couch," he said trying hard not to choke on his words.

axel put her on the couch and noted that the girl had fallen asleep, her eyes still wept though "I know what it's like" he said to rose "I lost my lover to, he was murdered by my father..... I saw the body, it wasn't a pretty sight but if this man, Elliot, really loved you then I know he would want you to continue your life, he wouldn't want to see you like this"

James wasn't really listening to what Axel was saying. He was too busy looking around the house. Last time he'd been here, he had been with Elliot. In the back of his mind he wondered where Ammy had gone, but didn't worry too much about. The house looked just like it had before, except now it felt empty. He wondered if it was because Elliot was gone or if it was because Melody wasn't there. Either way, it was quiet except for the wind.
