rose, getting curious, walked over to where James was standing at the front door. she looked at the guy he was talking to for a moment and blurted "HEY! you the guy who kidnapped me that one time!" she was sure she was going to get werid looks, in fact out of the corner of her eyes she could already see axel giving her one, but she didn't care "you know, I don't get why Elliot never told me about all the bad stuff that went one while I had memory loss"

James scrutinized Gerrard and thought a while before talking. "If you want to do something to help, why don't you start by coming with me and apologizing yourself. We've been through a lot in the last couple of days," he said. He turned when Rose came. "Had memory loss?" he asked, obviously confused. "You mean you remember? What happened, I mean." "I told you" rose said stubbornly "it's like, after I got through the crazy part, Elliot's death made everything snap into place, not my fault if you didn't understand" she was grining for the first time since Elliot died, happy to be making James look kinda stupid. she wanted to laugh a little but she felt it inappropriate after Elliot's death and she wasnt ready to laugh again, just yet anyway.sigpicI want to say a big thank you to zeke for making me the picture for my birthday.

James frowned. He was pretty sure Rose had not told him that, but he was too nice to say so. "Ah...sure," he mumbled, trying to not seem like an idiot. He saw her grin, and thought maybe she was joking. Again, he decided not to say anything. "Anyways, yeah, this is Gerrard the guy who once kidnapped you before we slapped some sense into him and kicked Ganondorf out." He smiled at Gerrard, surreptitiously trying to make him feel weak.Comment

(Well guys, back in the field it was just morning and James just had breakfast so it is kind of weird that all of a sudden it's getting late...D8 )
"Actually," James clarified, "I am supposed to meet with Sephira back in the field in an hour or so, so I'm not sure what you want to do." He looked back into the house where Axel had just been awkwardly standing for the past few minutes. He wondered how Sephira would feel about the fact that he had agreed to taking Gerrard to apologize to her. On the surface he felt like there were no hidden motives in that, but deep down he knew that it was because he missed the time when him and Gerrard had been good friends.Comment

James smiled and nodded at how easily Gerrard had agreed. He must really want to apologize to Sephira. He wondered how much Sephira still hated him. James looked back into the house at Axel. "Thanks for everything, good luck! And, I'm trusting you take care of Rose for me, she is a bit prone to trouble," he called out, and winke at Rose for the last part. It was now, when he was going to say goodbye to her, that he realized once they left chances were he wouldn't see her for a long time. He had known her for a long time, had helped save her twice, and even died doing so once, so it wasn't hard to see why he felt she was family. "Well, Rose...Goddesses know how long it'll be before I see you again," he smiled and his eyes glinted with the memory of older days. "I guess...I can say I'll miss you, wherever it is that we're going." He sighed and opened his arms to see if he could hug her. "See you...when I see you?"Comment

James was startled by her change of decision for a moment, but then a smile spread out across his face. Sephira and him wouldn't be so alone, apparently. He grinned at her, "Yeah I guess I should know better than that." He walked over to the door and was closing it when he thought he felt a glad sigh coming from the inside. He wondered if it was Melody, or maybe even Elliot watching over them. Any way it was, he smiled and closed it firmly. It locked nicely and he stepped back. "Well, I guess that's it then," he said stepping away from the door. He smiled at Rose, clearly glad that his friend and almost family was coming with. "Shall we?" he waved his hand in the direction of Kakariko's exit. He looked back at the house one last time for a long time.Comment
