Anadia had entered the café and was seated quickly. She only had enough rupees to order a sandwich. If only I had thought to bring more, she thought, then I wouldn't have to ration it so much. She ate her sandwich, noting that most of the other occupants were hylain; however, none of them took her interest, they were all so ordinary in her view. The people who did take her interest, though, were a Zora and a Goron who seemed to be friends. It's a strange sight, she thought, seeing two races that live so far apart, talking to one another. Anadia stopped eating what was left of her sandwich and thought for a moment. Would it be good to introduced myself? she pondered. They look like they're having a great conversation. I wouldn't want to be rude, but I need more friends in this place; I'm not ganna survive on my own for very long, and I hate boring people. She sighed. Anadia had never been very good at making friends before, probably because by the time she worked up the guts to talk to them, they had already judge her as a loser, and if she did just walk up to someone, she would say something they didn't want to hear and misjudge her as mean when she was just straight-forward about her opinion. Making friends sucks.

Esmeralda waved the woman's question away. She wasn't planning on buying any food for now. After a while and some small talk between her and Calder, she felt the back of her neck tingling. Someone was watching them. Out of the corner of her eye she could see who it was, but didn't know the person. "Someone is watching us," she mumbled quietly to Calder. The girl seemed nice enough, but Esmeralda didn't know what to think of her. Either way, as long as she wasn't hostile, she'd give her a chance. She always gave everyone a chance to prove themselves.Comment

Calder waved his fork around, scattering some juice around. "Of course someone is watching us. A Goron and a Zora, dining together? Why would someone not be watching us? That is cause for greater concern, I think, if someone is not watching the rarity of two specimens of opposite races eating together. Although I suppose you are not eating," he added in an afterthought, frowning. "Perhaps it isn't so concerning to not watch us two together if we are not dining together, but simply talking. Or is it?" He put the bite of fish in his mouth and chewed thoughtfully. "What do you think? Seeing two eating together, or seeing two together talking while one eats? I cannot decide. It seems suspicious for the one not eating to remain not eating, as it gives the sense to those watching that the one not eating is waiting to eat the one who is eating." His eyes suddenly went wide and he looked at the Goron in mock surprise and fear. "Are you planning to eat me, Esperanza?"Phillipians 4:13 - I can do everything through him who gives me strength.

Anadia took a deep breath. Time to grow up and make friends, she thought as she stood up. Anadia slowly walked towards the Zora and the Goron. "Hi!" she said smiling sweetly. "My name is Anadia. I've never seen a Goron dining with a Zora before, but then again, this is the first time I've been further from lake Hylia, and I've never really seen a Goron before. You're really pretty by the way. You're a girl one right? I didn't know Gorons wore clothing, and you," she turned her face to the Zora, "you're a Zora male, I know that for sure because my father and I lived by lake Hylia and a lot of Zora come through there." As she spoke all Anadia could think was Please make me shut up, please make me shut up, please make me shut up. She knew talking a lot; it was a nervous habit of hers. Esmeralda waited for Calder to finish and then just laughed. "Why, of course I'm waiting to eat you. Why would I order fried fish from a shop when I have a perfectly good, full size, raw specimen that I can fry and eat myself?" she said, then laughed again. Suddenly she realized that the girl that had been watching them had come over, so still laughing she turned to look at her. There didn't seem to be anything wrong with the girl, so she waited for her to speak... and speak she did. Esmeralda had trouble keeping up with everything the girl was saying. Before she could say any further she put up her hand and said a very strongly, "Hi, Anadia!" She chuckled a little and smiled. "Thank you, you can call me Es, and yes, not many gorons wear clothing. And," she finished, "Yes, I am quite obviously a girl. Pleased to make your acquaintance." She then waited for Calder to say something, or for Anadia to breathe a little.Comment

Calder chuckled at his companion's retort, pleased that she shared his humor. Had he said anything like that around the very dignified Zoras, he would have been called insane. Of course, they already called him insane, so that meant little.
He smiled at the young Hylian who walked up to their table, careful to keep his pointed teeth hidden. He was surprised to hear her talk so much, though, as most Hylians were much quieter. At least, around him. Maybe that was why. He was weird to them, after all, they would have difficulty knowing how to talk to him, so they wouldn't talk at all. Not that would help them figure it out, though.
He nodded vigorously at one of her comments, though. "We were just discussing that, weren't we, Esperanza? That Gorons and Zoras don't dine together. How unique that someone else would be thinking the same thing. Or had we decided that isn't unique, but should be normal? I don't recall." He frowned, thinking hard. Then he brightened. "There I go again, forgetting my manners. My name is Calder. A pleasure to meet you, Anadia. Would you care to join us? Esperanza here had just informed me that she's waiting for me to get fat before eating me herself. You can join me in my quest to get plump, or you can join her afterwards to dine on my fried form. There will no doubt be plenty enough for the two of you." He popped another forkful of fish in his mouth and chewed with a delighted air, as if nothing would please him more than to know he would be feeding two fine beings.Phillipians 4:13 - I can do everything through him who gives me strength.

Anadia chuckled "I will gladly join you, but I have already ate," she said sitting down, "and it would be nice if Gorons and Zora got together more often... oh! and nice to meet you Es, Calder." "That's very much okay," Esmeralda smiled. She was glad Anadia had turned out nice as well. She had encountered two nice people in one day, one of them a zora and a guy at that. Who would've thought? "Don't worry, I know very personally how hard it can be to cause a good first impression," she shrugged at the memories in the mountain, "but why on Hyrule would you say you're not a likable person? I mean, I don't like a lot of people, but I am absolutely delighted by your presence." She let the warmth in her flow to Anadia. It was always a joyous occasion meeting another pretty lady.Comment

"That's very sweet of you, Es" Anadia said, the smile on her face refusing to fall. "And it's because I have an overwhelming personality. I'm generally too straight forward and I'm not really afraid to say what I think. People don't like it when you say they're wrong." Or is it simply a difference of opinions? Personally, I prefer people who speak their minds. Makes everything clear and understood. After all, if you're not speaking your mind, what are you speaking? Esmeralda nodded comprehensively. "Yes, straight-forward is better without a doubt. "Yeah," Anadia said. "It was just my dad, my mother and I. My mother passed away when I was younger and my dad was a great man. He took care of me and taught me many things, everything from science, writing, and mathematics, to cooking, bare-hand fighting," Anadia took a deep breath, this was the time to voice a truth she had been nervous about telling, simply because most people freak-out when they found out. Calder glanced side-ways at the Hylian. "Science? What is that, exactly? I thought I knew all the unusual words in this world. After all, I came up with most of them." Then his face brightened. "But of course! That's what you Gorons specialize in, isn't it, Esperanza?" he asked the Goron. "My race is more into magic than that stuff. After all, we have everything we need, why try improving upon perfection? Your technology often seems to make things worse for us, I think. Or is it simply your form of magic? I think I have confused myself again." He put another forkful of fish in his mouth, trying to shush himself. Unfortunately, it was his last bite, so he wouldn't be able to use food as an excuse to be quiet anymore.Phillipians 4:13 - I can do everything through him who gives me strength.

"Science is the study of something; it comes into many categories such as the study of plants and animals, the study of the way things work. Basically science is where you ask why to everything and try to find out why," Anadia said. "And I am not a magical person pre-say, I have these stones that have magical properties." She reached for her bag and took out the air stone. Esmeralda found Anadia's teachings interestings. She didn't know many people that knew the magical way, so it was a nice surprise. She smiled at Calder and said, "Yeah, gorons do things like bombs and stuff, but like Anadia said that's not all science." She made sure to say 'the gorons' and not 'we' because she had never done anything scientific in her life, other than creating her own makeup. She eyed the air stone curiously. It didn't make sense to her how such a small thing could do magic, but she decided not to question it.Comment
