    On Castle Town

With fingers already aching, Daniel closed the large book with its red leather covers and placed it carefully in his pack. He made sure his special writing utensil was also in it. He had taken special measure in making it, using a sharp rock to make it pointy and covered all but the point with a very small cloth so that he wouldn't stain himself when he used it. He was satisfied with the new entry, and as he stood up from the dirty stone step he took a deep breath and rejoiced in the feeling of accomplishment. His walk down the dirty broken street brought a feeling of completion to his mind; he could feel it in his heart, the travel about to happen. Sure enough, a few seconds later he felt a familiar tingling on his hip, the warmth protruding from the thin layers of the pouch announcing the time to go. He opened it with care, slowly, wondering about the new places it might take him, the many things he might be led to observe and experience.

Briana traipsed along, humming quietly to herself. New Market was nowhere near as bustling as the old one had been, but it was still a place where interesting items could be sold and purchased. She had just gotten a rare book, one on the Ancient Hylians, and was rather proud she had gotten it for such a good deal. Its cover was a bit battered and the pages worn, but with some care, it could be enjoyed easily by anyone who could read it. She was now on the hunt for something to do with the Sheikah and how they came to be. Books were a tricky business. Not many could read, which limited the amount of people willing to buy. Not many could write either, limiting the amount of books available. And considering the time it took to write a book, and then make all the copies, by hand? Books were expansive, which was why hardly anyone bothered to read them.
She paused at a stall and examined a piece of jewelry. It was a delicately carved bird, but it wasn't her raven. Ravens were creatures of intelligence, and were her family crest. She always loved seeing them in flight, the black carrion birds. She smiled at the merchant behind the stall and turned to go, but instead collided with another man, who had been too distracted by his map to even see the danger to stop it.

By the time he had gotten the map fully opened, it was already hot in his hands. Not enough that it burned him, but still of a higher temperature than normal paper could reach. However, it wasn't the temperature that intrigued him, but the lines and shapes that had formed on the parchment. They were turning and changing, different to anything he'd ever seen before. There was something different than before, he didn't recognize the name or the map itself, and he was almost entirely sure that it had nothing to do with Hyrule. The map had taken up so much of his attention that he never looked up or stopped walking before colliding head on with a girl. They took a trip to the ground, rolling for a second before stopping. He was shocked by what had happened, too much so, that as he looked around for the map that had been knocked out of his grasp he didn't notice the temperature change, nor that of the scenery. It had happened, and this time he was not alone.
