Gerrard and Leo walked for part of the day on the way to Hyrule Castle Town. It was a beautiful day, the sun was shining and many of the natural animals of the field were easily able to be seen frolicking about. When they got to castle town it was right in the middle of the afternoon. Gerrard stepped through the gate and looked around at the bustling market. He looked at Leo and said "what now?"

Gerrard looked around the vibrant market, it has been so long since he has actually been in this area. He then noticed that Leo didn't answer him, when he looked over at Leo he was just standing there. "Something wrong?" Gerrard asked, worried that something may have happened to him.The Roose is Loose

"It's been a long time since I've seen Castle City so busy," he said somberly. He chuckled to himself for a moment. "After the Invasion of Castle City, this place became a total wasteland. The buildings were nothing but destroyed." He looked towards the center plaza, "This whole area was the ground zero of the invasion. "This is where a kid in green was slain in cold blood by Ganondorf for 'interfering with rise to power'. I remember seeing him being chained up and Ganondorf chopped his head off. I remember well because the head rolled off of the platform and stopped, his eyes looking right into mine." A tear fell from his right eye.sigpic

At that second Gerrard first realized what was gonna happen. Civilization would be gone in a mere week, all the life as he knew it would be incinerated by this "Ganondorf" he heard Leo speak of. He started to feel his eyes water also, but he wiped his eyes, not wanting to have some sort of breakdown; and looked at Leo. "Where are we going?"The Roose is Loose

"The center plaza. We're gonna ask around for rumors of the Hyrulian Army," he looked at Gerrard. "Don't worry too much about it, although you don't know it, there are differences between my version of Castle City and this one. The first being that this one doesn't look nearly as populated and large as mine. Mine was huge and it would take you a day to get from one end of the city to the other. The second is that we were a little more... industrialized. Over there was our factory and industry quarter, just on the opposite side of the Merchant's Quarter. When Ganondorf's minions attacked the factories, the chemicals and equipment wound up destroying that entire section of the city. I remember being in a back alley and feeling the ground shake and then nearly being caught into the explosion. After that, Ganondorf pressed his offensive on Hyrule Castle and it soon was under siege. Ganondorf managed to destroy a good portion of the Castle and when he entered, the guards were in shambles and scrambling. The Princess managed to round up a decent sized counterforce, but Ganondorf's army was too strong. Ganondorf imprisoned Zelda for several days and held her execution in the center plaza. The kid's body still on the platform. With her died the hope and fear of the people she swore to protect with her life, and she did. From there, many of the remaining citizens moved to other areas around Hyrule like Ordona and Kakariko. Some even moved north to Snowpeak and lived among the Gorons."sigpic

Gerrard searched around the market, looking for anyone that looked like they may be in the Hyrulian Army. He found several people, but when he asked them, they all said things like "It's none of your business," and "why do you wanna know." He had almost gave up when he heard a group of people talking, curious, he started eavesdropping on them. He heard bits and pieces of their conversation, apparently half of the Hyrulian Army went to the Ordana Province because of the Holodrum/Labrynna War. Once Gerrard heard all of this, he walked around the town until he found Leo; once he found him he said. "Half of the army is in the Ordana Province, I heard something about a war that has something to do with Holodrum and Labrynna."The Roose is Loose

Leo looked confused. "What or who or where are Labrynna and Holodrum? I've never heard of them. I only know about Hyrule." He started questioning things about his reality of his realm, 'Is there more to Hyrule than I know about my own home? How much is real?'sigpic

(Btw, Falcon, to be exact, Labrynna is to the southwest, and Holodrum is southwest)
Leo thought about it some more. "Well then, let's track the Hyrulian Army," he said rather hurriedly. "I don't want to be here anymore. This place is too frightening for me."sigpic
