    amaterasu
Amaterasu rolled her eyes. "We try to defeat Ganondorf. Other than that, not much." she muttered, handing Tennor some rocks, arrow bodies, and vines. "Tie the rocks to one side of the arrow body, and make sure the knot is nice and tight. That'll keep them from falling off while the arrow's in flight." she explained.

Xannon walked into the camp. He looked around. There were many people milling about. He went to the nearest group he could find; a Zora and someone else working on what presumably were arrows. He walked over to them. "Hey, is there anything I can do to help? You look like you've got some work to do."

    amaterasu
Amaterasu looked up at the new guy. "Well, I need to know your information. Name, Race, Age, things like that." she said smiling. "Then you can help Tennor and I make more arrows."

    Blendcat
Xannon looked at Ammy. "Well, I'm Xannon, I'm about 16, I'm obviously a Zora... Oh yeah. I got kicked out of Zora's Domain because I almost killed my friend. BUT, he tried to steal from my family so it was... kind of justified. But, I am ashamed of it. I've changed my ways now."

    amatersu
Amaterasu nodded. "I don't remember seeing you around Zora's Domain before I left. Weird. Anyway, I'm Amaterasu, and I'm fifteen. He's Tennor, fifteen as well." she said, pointing to Tennor.

    Blendercat
Xannon turned to Tennor. "Hey. You're a Hylian, right? Anyway, can I trust you, Amaterasu? Most Zoras will scream and run if they see me." He took out his long sword, and examined it. He felt a small chip in the blade. He looked at the pile of rocks. "Mind if I borrow one? My sword could use some sharpening."

    Master_Sword
Lydia walked up to the new comer and introduced herself. "Hello Xannon, I'm Lydia. I'm usually out roaming the fields looking for rabbits and such so we don't have to eat fish all the time." Lydia chuckled. "Nice to meet you. I'll be around." She walked over to her resting area and began polishing her sword and Hylian Shield.

    amaterasu
Amaterasu shrugged. "Usually Zora shun me. Go ahead and use a rock, just use one of the rounded ones. Those seem best for sharpening." she said, pulling some feathers out of the bottom of her quiver.

    Blendercat
Zannon picked up a rock and started to sharpen his blade. When he thought it was sharp enough, he ran his fingertip across the edge. When a drop of blood came out, he smiled, knowing it was plenty sharp, and put it back in it's scabbard. He walked over to Lydia. "Hey, mind if I join you next time you go out to the fields? As you could guess..." He gestured to his extremely fish-like Zora self. "While I can catch fish easily, I prefer not to eat what I think of as my cousins. Surprisingly, there are some tasty things in Hyrule Field that don't look so tasty."

    Master_Sword
"Sounds like a plan." Lydia replied with a smile. "Up until now it's just been me and Cap doing the hunting." Cap was curled up in the sun on a nearby boulder. He seemed very content, and did not react when he heard his name called. "I'm not particularly fond of fish myself, but you can probably guess that Cap is a large fan. "It would be nice to find some new animals or vegetation to add a bit more variety to our diets." Lydia said.

Having seen all this activity, Vastol thought he had the basics of the campsite down - obviously, it was a place for abnormals and rejects from all across Hyrule to come and have a safe haven. His train of thought started to overrun his mouth, he mumbled to himself. "Rather interesting concept, simple, and it works."
He finally began speaking so more people could hear him. "Got any use for a doc with plenty of combat experience?"

Annika tensed even more, almost to the point of cringing. She was obviously uncomfortable with the idea of having to live around people she didn't have a connection to.

    midna
"it would be helpfully, we all somehow always tend to get injured a lot, plus it would be a lot better then someone who only knows first aid" rose laughed and pointed go herself "but your friend seems uncomfortable so, maybe you should go, help your friends first, not us who are strangers to you"

    Plasma_Flux
"True enough." He responded, looking back towards Annika. She was noticeably annoyed at this other girl, but for what reason couldn't be said. "I guess we'll get going then."

She didn't loosen up at all. Regardless, the two of them began walking away, after a quick "See you guys around, then."

As they left, the girl finally spoke to him.
"We'll see them again, won't we?"
"I wouldn't be surprised." He responded.

(Vastol and Annika have left the camp, to take a stroll through Hyrule Field towards Lake Hylia)

    amaterasu
Amaterasu finished tying the last of the feathers onto the arrows and put them all in the quiver. "There, plenty of arrows." she said, smiling. Then she remembered what she was supposed to do, and it hit her like a boulder coming down the mountain. "Uh, Rose. Can I talk to you privately for a minute?" she asked.

something i just thought of, if ganon is like, in his twenties or thirties, and rose is 16, and rose is supposed to marry him.... PEDOPHILLIA.

    Plasma_Flux
Xannon nodded. "Anything that isn't fish is fine with me." He walked over to a fairly open space, and started practicing with his sword. He didn't want to lose any skill that he had by not fighting. As his father said, 'Practice doesn't make perfect, it makes permanent.'

    midna
Rose nodded and Walked over to a more private area of the cave "what Is it you need to talk to me about" rose asked. Rose wondered if this had anything to do with ganondorf, or worse, her moving with Elliot.

    amaterasu
Amaterasu looked around, making sure Tennor hadn't followed, and the others were out of earshot. "It's about Ganondorf." she said quietly. "I was sparred so long as I was a sort of double agent for him. When I remembered, I knew I had to get something to tell him. Even though we fought him multiple times, he seemed too preocupied with you to worry about me.
I got some fake information on the Gorons, and that's when I got this fire pendant. From Darunia to protect myself. Ganondorf and some of the Gerudo army attacked Tennor and I when I put up the signal for Ganon to come. We got away by hiding in Zora's River. Then another Gerudo, Christina, found me while I was gathering fruit and accused me of being a traitor. She nearly attacked me, but I burnt her hands, making her drop her swords. I took them, and they're in my quiver now." Amaterasu took a deep breath and looked at Rose, worry written alll over her face.

    midna
"ammy" she said in shock, she couldn't believe her friend, someone sje trusted, was working for ganondorf, rose raised her hand unsure of what to do, slap her or punch her. As she looked ammy in the eye she made her choice. Rose placed her hand on jer shoulder "it's ok" rose said "ganondorfs power can be persuasive, as can fear" rose smiled kindly at he.

    DekuNut
Tennor put his arm arpund Ammy, then decided against it partway, "Don't judge her, Rose... it's not like she had a choice," he sighed, "This isn't oing to be good... and I hav a feeling that something will happen soon... very soon..."

    amaterasu
Amaterasu shook her head. "I did it to stay alive Rose." she said seriously. "You know you would've done it yourself if you were in my situation."

    midna
"I'm not judging you" rose said "I'm sorry if it sounded like it, and in truth ganondorf wouldn't of made the same offer to me as he did to you. He has made several offers in the past, and I have turned down every one" rose sighed "I understand you were scared and fear made you accept, but you have to understand, I'm a different person and to me, my life doesn't matter, not as much as my friends. Ganondorf doesn't understand that threatening me won't do a thing, but go after my friends and it's different. Ammy, I would die myself to protect you, and everyone else in this camp. Now I'm not judging you, even if it sounds like I am, I'm just saying were different people, do things differently" rose hoped ammy could hear the honesty in her voice.

    amaterasu
Amaterasu nodded. "I know Rose, I know." she whispered. "If we can get Ganondorf off your back and mine, maybe he'll only attack for cruds and giggles."

    Blendercat
Xannon walked over to Ammy and Tennor, realizing too late that the moment seemed private.

I can't turn back now, it'll just look weird. Oh well, here goes.

"I'm not interrupting something private here, am I? Because if I am, I think my sword has a chip."

    amaterasu
Amaterasu rolled her eyes. "Go find a rock and sharpen it, this is really private." she said quietly, pointing to where she'd left the rocks that were used to make arrows.

    Blendercat
Xannon nodded, disregarded anything further, grabbed a rock, and left. He sat down on a rock further away, and started to sharpen his sword. He suddenly felt very sleepy. It had been a long day. He managed to sharpen his sword, then slumped backward onto the ground, and simply fell asleep.

    midna
Rose smiled "maybe he won't show up at all" she said "oh, and I kinda have something you guys should know to, Elliot J and I Are going to get a house and move in together" rose hoped everyone would understand.

    DekuNut
Tennor nodded, "Good for you. I hope you guys have a good time," he brushed his hand against Ammy's to show his support for her still, but didn't take it... not while people were watching... he still didn't know how comfortable she was with them.

    Blendercat
Xannon woke with a start, and stood up. Amaterasu and Tennor were still talking. He shrugged, stood up, stretched, picked up his blade, and suddenly felt like swimming. He looked around, guessed as to which direction Lake Hylia was, and started to run towards it.

    Xannon advances to Lake Hylia.

    Plasma_Flux
    (Entering from Lake Hylia)
Some time after the Xannon had gone, Vastol and Annika returned to the camp, more relaxed than when they had left. The man called out "Hello in there? Anyone still here? We're back, not that it really matters!"

    DekuNut
Tennor peered over at the two, "Who would you guys be?" he asked, nodding to Rose andd Ammy before walking over, "Name's Tennor."

    Plasma_Flux
The two looked at this approaching person. "The name's Dr.Vastol Tennol. Call me what you will, Doc, Vastol, Vas, what have you." the man said.
The girl actually spoke this time. "Annika Taiyoko is my name."
"Good to meet you" Vastol said.

    DekuNut
Tennor nodded, "Nice to meet you, Vastol and Annika," he looked at he two, "Have you been here before?" they didn't look familiar, and he was eager to show around neew people... camp could be so dull at times. He made sure Ammy and Rose were still all right out of the corner of his eye. Yep. He returned his gaze to the pair in front of him.

    Plasma_Flux
"More or less." Vastol replied. "We showed up once before, but left soon after... Annika needed some time to get used to the fact we were going to be around people. She's kind of anti-social."
"I don't like people I have no connection to." Annika replied. "If that's anti-social, then I don't mind."

    DekuNut
Tennor shrugged, "You know your way around? Met people? Any of that last time? If not, I can help you out with that," he looked at the two. They looked like a couple... but there was no way to be certain. Anyway, they seemed trustworthy people... and a doctor around would be nice.

    Plasma_Flux
Vastol looked around. "Well, no, we didn't get to see much... A girl named Rose greeted us last time, but following her suggestion, we took a rain check." He walked past Tennor, Annika staying near Vastol. "It would've been longer, but a Zora fellow cut our visit short."

    DekuNut
Knowing when he wasn't wanted, Tennor returned to the girls, "Averagely new guys," he said, "Seem to know you, Rose. The guy seems nice enough, and the girl... deffinitley the anti-social type,

Elliot looked over at the setting sun and decided it was a good time to head back inside the cave and settle down for the coming night, allowing Rose some time on her own to mingle with the newcomers. It was a lot less crowded in here than outside, and right now he felt like thinking things over by himself for a while. First thing tomorrow morning he'd have to go to the bank and see how much money he had left in there. Hopefully it'd be enough to accommodate the three of them, but if not, well...he'd think of something. He leaned his head back against the cave's walls and yawned.

James saw Elliot head in for the night and decided to do the same, he went in and lied down against the wall across from him. He closed his eyes and allowed sleep to overcome him, but something was nagging at his mind. "Hey, Elliot, I was thinking that a house in Kakariko this days must be worth a lot, and I remembered that my mom left me money at the bank, we could use that, right?" He opened his eyes and looked at his fatherly figure, who looked very tired. He smiled and laid back down, he was probably already asleep, it didn't matter. He closed his eyes once more, and just laid there, without falling asleep.

Elliot hadn't realized that he'd dozed off until James' voice startled him into awakening. He shifted to a better sitting position, stretching out his legs and regarded James' question. "Well," he began, stifling another yawn, "that's up to you to decide. It's your money, after all. I just don't want you to think that you have to use it on us." He smiled a little at him. "I admit it would probably make things easier on us though. Don't tell Rose, but I'm not sure how much money I have left in my bank." As soon as he said this, he realized that he probably shouldn't have. He knew James' would start to worry and he didn't want that. After all, it was the parent's job to worry. He had a lot to learn about being a good father. He got up and sat down next to James' side. "Now listen, I don't want you worrying about that kind of stuff, okay? You just get yourself some rest." He took off his cloak and gently placed it on top of James. Then knowing he might want some space to himself, he moved back to his original spot and settled down again for the night.

James smiled at Elliot, he was already worrying so much for him. He took mental note to assure him that he didn't need to worry about him in the morning, but for the moment he considered something for a moment, and finally decided. He knew it was getting chilly and Elliot would probably be cold without his cloak, so he slowly got up and walked over to him. He laid down next to him and rested his head on his shoulder. Normally James would have felt awkward doing this, but he had gotten so close to Elliot in the past few days, that the feeling didn't come. Soon after, the sound of paws on the cave floor announced the arrival of Midnight inside. The wolf headed to James and Elliot and laid down next to them, snuggling up to James. James smiled before drifting into a nice sleep.

              ~DAWN OF...A NEW DAY~

Elliot stirred and opened his eyes to a slightly lit cave. He was just about to stand up when he noticed James was leaning against his shoulder, still fast asleep. Not to mention Midnight had been asleep on his lab and his legs were feeling pretty numb right about now. "Okay, off, you," Elliot said, nudging the wolf aside. Midnight grumbled but moved further away to curl up and continue his sleep. Not wanting to wake up James, he settled back against the wall and his thoughts drifted to what they should have for breakfast.

James felt something move in the real word, but he was too into his dream to wake up just yet. The dream continued as it had all night, he was eating breakfast at a beautiful home, Elliot and Rose were seating across from him, meanwhile Midnight slept curled up in a corner of the dining room. Earlier he had come delivering a message from Sephira answering James that she did in fact want to go take a walk with him later on, then he had fallen asleep. Everyone was smiling, ever so happy, the perfect life. Then James shuffled a little and finally woke. He was a bit sad he woke up in a cave instead of the nice bedroom in his dream, but then he noticed he was still laying against Elliot and Midnight was asleep nearby. He smiled, at least the most important part of his dream was true.

Elliot felt James fidget and saw that he'd woken up. "Good morning," he said, standing up to stretch his sore body. Sleeping on a hard floor had its disadvantages. "Did you sleep well? You must be hungry. I'll get us a fire starting so I can cook up whatever we have left. I think Sephira had some berries that we could roast..." He looked around him but couldn't find the said berries. "Or, Midnight can be a good wolfie and catch us something to eat." He said this part while looking pointedly at Midnight. Midnight pretended to ignore him at first, snorting and turning his face the other way. "A good wolfie that'll get a nice treat if he does." Midnight raised his head to his, as if pondering for a moment, then got to his feet and started out the cave. Elliot gave Midnight a gentle rub on his head as he passed by, then turned his attention back to James.

James smiled at Elliot. "Good morning, sorry if I didn't let you sleep well." He slowly stood and stretched himself before rubbing off the remainders of sleep from his eyes. "So we'll set out after breakfast?" he asked as he remembered his dream and wondered if the house the would find would be like the one in his dream. He hoped so.

"Nonsense, I slept fine," Elliot said with a reassuring smile. "Just gotta stretch out a little. So right after breakfast, we go house hunting in Kakariko. Unless there was anything else you needed to do first before we leave? Visit a town? Buy some supplies? Say hello to a certain...friend?" He winked and gave him a playful nudge on the arm.

James blushed bright red and said, "Nah I can do those things later, now I wonder how pong Midnight will take..." He then looked outside obviously trying to avoid the subject, his face was still bright red. Though, if there was anyone in the world he would tell about this it would be Elliot, but not yet, he thought, not yet.

Elliot did his best to hold back a chuckle and decided not to press the issue any further after seeing how red the poor boy was getting. "Hey, you don't want to talk about it, I understand," he said, holding up his hands to signal him backing down. "But I'm always here if you do. You know, a little man to man talk." He took another look at James' face and couldn't help but break out into laughter. "I'm not helping much, am I? Dang, where is that wolf?"

James turned even redder if that was possible, so much he had to cover his face in embarrassment and without thinking he let out a, "Dad!" Once he said this his eyes widened and he had to turn away, he couldn't believe he had actually done that. It had felt so...so good. Hexwaited still embarrassed for elliots reaction.

Elliot's laughing stopped as soon as James had uttered that word. It was there. He had finally said it. The words that he hadn't before realized he'd been waiting to hear but realized it now as the word echoed in his heart and filled him with a sense of warm, caring love. One simple word, yet it held in its tiny little syllable all the emotions of trust, loyalty, and adoration. It held the love of a blossoming family.

Something that he hadn't felt in a long time.

He walked over to James and wrapped him in his arms. "Now that," he said softly, "is something you should never have to feel embarrassed about. Because you are my son and nothing's going to change that. And while I may not be of your blood, our bond runs much deeper than blood and heritage. It runs from the heart. That means a lot more to me as I hope it does for you. And I mean every word." He released him from his hug, but not before tousling his hair and giving him another wink. "You got that, Sport?"
