James closed his eyes as he was hugged and smiled at Elliot when he let him go. He would've felt a tear run down his cheek, except he had promised Elliot that he wasn't going to cry anymore, so he didn't. He nodded to answer Elliot's question, and couldn't help feeling his heart feeling with joy and love, it was true, he really had a father now, and it was the best a father could get. Slowly the red color began leaving his face as Midnight walked into the cave carrying enough game for all of them to eat. James smiled, and in that moment he knew, this was the beginning of a wonderful life, filled with family and love, and he liked it.

Elliot gave James a final squeeze on his shoulder, then went to pick up the animals that Midnight had caught. "Good job, boy," he said, giving him a pat on the head. "Your work shall not go unrewarded." He kicked some sticks into a small pile and riffled around in his bag for some matches. With it he was able to get a fire going in no time and soon had the food cooking over the fire. He settled back down and looked at the entrance of the cave. "Now I wonder where Rose is..."

rose had fallen asleep outside, stupidly, so she had just woken up when she walked over to elliot and james "next time i fall asleep outside be sure to drag me in" she said sounding really annoyed "so how is everyone today" she walked up and gave elliot a hug and kissed his cheek "me im horrible, sleeping on a rock all night really sucks for your back" she smiled at both elliot and james.

Sensing his love's less than happy mood, Elliot gave Rose a sheepish, apologetic smile. "I'm sorry," he said, rubbing the back of his neck. "I just figured you would come in when you were ready on your own time. I didn't want to smother you. Here, have a dead woodland creature. It's tasty and nutritious. As soon as we're done eating, we're heading to Kakariko."

"it wouldnt be smothering me" rose said taking the meet and bitting into it "it would of been taking care of me, there is a difference" rose smiled at elliot. he always made her feel happy even when she was in a really bad mood. rose lifted here hand to softly brush it across his cheek, not caring that james was there watching.

James smiled at the couple and took his meat to the other side of the cave where Midnight followed sniffing the air in delight. James didn't know if he found it cute or creepy that his dad was dating a girl 2 years older than him, but he decided not to think about it for the time being. He cut off a piece of the meat and gave it to Midnight, eating the other.

Elliot marveled at the soft touch of Rose's hang against his face. He placed his hand over hers and leaned in closer for another kiss, feeling his heart race as he did so. When he broke away, licking his lips, he suddenly realized that James had left and felt his face flush slightly. "I hope he didn't leave because he was getting uncomfortable..."

"same here" said rose "oh well soon we will have a room all to ourselves" that thought made rose blush. she had never shared her room with a man before, well other then ganondorf but he was to diguesting to be counted as a man. would ellilot ever try something i wasnt ready forthe thought scared her a little.

Elliot smiled a devilish smile. "That's right," he said in a low, almost growling voice. He kissed her one last time on the nape of her neck before jumping up to his feet. "So, you ready to go now, Rose? It's best we get an early head start."

Rose giggled "ok let's grab James and go" she said. Rose grabbed his hand and walked over to James "you two ready" rose said smiling "this is going to be great I haven't had a home since...." rose paused, when she spoke again her voice was saddened "since the gerudo fortress was my home" rose thought of the short time when the fortress was really her home.

James smiled, indeed he was ready to go house-hunting, he couldn't wait! He did notice the sad tone in Rose's voice so as he stood he said, "You know, I haven't had a home for a while now either, not a true home anyway, so it can be a first time thing for both of us then!" He smiled warmly at his 16 year-old 'mom.' "So, are we ready?"

"Don't worry," Elliot said reassuringly to Rose. "You won't have to worry about that ever again. I promise you both." He shifted his satchel to a more comfortable position and kicked dirt at the fire to make it die down. Then he led the way to the exit of the cave. "Well then. Let's get going."

(Elliot, James, and Rose advance to Kakariko)

Tennor turned to Ammy, "I think we should give these three time together," he whispered, "The new family... lucky them," he sighed and brushed Ammy's hand, "What do you think?"

Amaterasu nodded, closing her eyes in thought. "Tennor, I have to do something alone. For a while." she said quietly. "Don't ask what, don't ask why, just don't follow." she added, opening her eyes again and staring at the fire. "I'm not going now, but I will soon." Amaterasu got up and grabbed her quiver, checking through it and taking out things that she didn't need; almost rotten fruit, bugs in jars, ect.
