Deana was smiling from her hiding place as she watched the chaos insuing around her. She was tempted to slip in and help Meldos, but decided he wouldn't appreciate it. She also considered assisting Verigan, but decided he was doing alright on his own. "Even if he did himself stuck by an arrow," she muttered. Then her eyes fell on the house. That was the real target, the house and the barn. Both would hold the supplies they were really after. She glanced at the trio of defenders, then ghosted across the field to the house. She would check it out, and put a knife between the ribs of anyone who tried to stop her.

Rin jumped back up barely fazed and put on a sly smirk, and faced his adversary. he took out a throwing star like a natural movement and, without looking, began to flip it in the air as easy as a coin. he let his heart rate settle, reconstructing his features, before he spoke: "not today," he repeated.Comment

Gwyna watched him warily, slowly circling him, her movements graceful, predatory. She slipped a throwing dagger from her sleeve. "Why do you fight? It is inevitable. You will die." She flung the throwing dagger at his throat.Comment

Rin dodged easily, then, quickly but carefully, positioned his arm. he didn't speak, knowing it would throw him off. he barrel rolled to the side, and quickly threw three throwing stars. preparing to lunge, he said, "mind the sharp bits,"Comment

Gwyna dropped to the ground to avoid the throwing stars. She managed to dodge two of them, but the third sliced into her shoulder. Hissing in pain and rage, she lunged at him suddenly, slashing across his face viciously with Verigan's blade.Comment

Deana paused at the door and glanced back at her companions. Everyone was still occupied with their opponets, and they seemed to be doing alright. She noticed blood dripping from her twin and hesitated. But she decided that the raid would be failure if she didn't take advantage of the defenders' distraction, and slipped into the house. In the early morning light streaming from windows, she moved stealthily from room to room, slipping various items into her bag. Most of the items were practical and probably wouldn't fetch a large price, but she did find a few trinkets that she thought might get line their wallets a little more thickly. There was one item in particular she found that she was tempted to keep. It was a silver chain, with a dolphin carved from aquamarine hanging from it.
Her bag full, she slipped out of the house again and moved further along the field until she found a good hiding place that she was certain she would remember. She carefully hid the bag there, glad that it's dark green color would help hide it. Then she turned and slide back towards the farm, hoping that she had been quick enough to avoid anyone being killed. She was tempted to call the rest of the bandits to a retreat, but seeing how fiercely Gwyna was engaged with Rin, and how violently Kainis and Meldos struggled with each other, she doubted she'd be listened to. So she instead simply watched the fights, hiding in shadows so that if her assistance was needed, she would be unseen before she struck.Phillipians 4:13 - I can do everything through him who gives me strength.

Meldos and Kainis were still fighting, more furiously than either of them had ever fought. They yelled at each other, trying to get the other to side with them. Then Kainis gained the upper hand. He slashed across Meldos' right wrist, making him stagger and wave his halberd violently. Then he spun and slammed his tailbone with the butt of the blade. Meldos fell forward, grimacing at the pain and the blood dripping from his wrist. He rolled just as Kainis brought a blade down, then rolled again. He tried to get up, but a kick to the face forced him back down. He realized his halberd still lay on the ground several feet away.
How could he be beating me? I'm supposed to be the better brother!So I'm back, or at least I will be eventually. Trying to reintegrate myself.

Rin didn't step back in time. blood dripping from his cheek, his cocky expression deepened into a scowl. he'd hoped his silver-knife was good enough for what he was about to do. rather then completing his lunge, he rolled off to the side and ran up a near lower building, maybe a warehouse? he hoped she would follow him.Comment

Gwyna growled softly, a low rumble in the back of her throat. She would not fail Meldos, not when he had put his faith in her. She had worked too hard, had gotten too far to mess up now. switching the blade to her other hand, she followed him.Comment

Verigan saw her shadow pull back and draw an arrow, moving closer to the hay he'd taken cover behind. He rolled out the opposite side and struck at Avalona's leg, running in a zigzag pattern to keep her from getting a good shot. "It's only a job." He said arrogantly, turning on his heel for another attack. "Join us or run and never stop running, but you can't escape from this."Comment

Ava shook her head, gasping in pain. "No.... I will never join you.... but I won't abandon my family, either...... not after all they've done for me...." Dropping the bow, she snatched up a long, rusty metal stake from the floor of the loft. "I'll fight to protect them until I breathe my very last breath if I have to, but I will never let ou hurt them while I live!"Comment

Kainis swore silently. Ava was getting pounded, metaphorically, by one of the bandits with the knife. Leaving Meldos, he turned and ran to help her. Running into the barn, He leveled his bladeshot at the man. "Now, this is hardly fair, don't you think?" He fired the blade at him, not noticing Meldos yell as he wound back his retrieved halberd, rushing towards Kainis.So I'm back, or at least I will be eventually. Trying to reintegrate myself.

Verigan blocked her swing, worried now that she had a weapon. It was cruder than his knife, but she, though not great by any means, clearly knew how to handle it better than he did. He ducked and weaved, waiting for her guard to open up and maneuvering himself to where it would be easier to jump down to the ground floor and escape. The bandits might have a policy of leaving no survivors, but him living for these next few minutes were a bit more important right now. "I thought we'd agreed that's not happening much longer." He said, trying to make her think he knew what he was doing.
Over his shoulder, he heard someone shout and a blade flew past him, slicing open his arm. With one hand clutching the patch of cloak already beginning to stain red, he turned to see what was happening, leaving his back open.Comment

Rin almost smirked, he'd must've had more experience. He kicked her back down yo the rubble below and quickly jumped to a higher building. he caught a glimpse of Ava and Kainis below. remembering the fight with the other bandits, he realised that they had a better chance together and quickly manoeuvred his way over to them.Comment

Biting her lip, Avalona rushed forward, bringing the stake down on Verigan's head as hard as she could. She gasped as she saw another bandit rushing at Kainis's back with a big axe. "Kainis! Watch out!"
Gwyna gasped in pain as her head slammed into a rock amidst the rubble, Verigan's dagger falling from her suddenly numb fingers.Comment
