Elliot felt his face flush a deep red but he quickly managed to regain his composure and maintain a basic level of coherency as he stammered out a response. "I...that's...I mean, okay, if that's what you'd prefer. We'll uh, we'll work out the details later." He gave her a lopsided smile and stood up, still holding her hand. "Go ahead to the room. Elliot walked into the kitchen where he found Avalona and Joshua chatting it up with each other and drinking tea. He made a point of completely ignoring the man while he turned his attention to Avalona. "Is it alright if Rose sleeps here for the time being?" He thought for a moment. "We're probably going to need an extra blanket, too."Comment

Avalona turned to Elliot and nodded. "Sure! I'll get some more blankets for you." She ran to the closet and pulled out a few blankets, then carried them back to Elliot. "Here. How is she doing?"Comment

Elliot took the blankets off of Avalona's hands, tossing them over his shoulder, and thanked her. "I think she's doing much better, health-wise, though she's still missing her memories. I'm just hoping some sleep will help her. He paused for a moment to sniff and rub at his nose with the back of his hand, coughing a little. "Anyway, thanks again for the blankets." He started to walk out of the kitchen, then stopped and turned his head over his shoulder to look at Avalona, wondering on whether he should warn her about Joshua. She was a nice gal and he didn't want to see her heart broken, especially at the hands of a shameless flirt. He sighed, figuring it wasn't his business to interfere, then gave her one last small smile and left the room.
He followed the hallway down to the room that he'd told Rose about and was about to open the door when he stopped and thought better of it, his hand hovering over the knob. His hand closed to a fist and he knocked on the door thrice times before calling out to Rose and announcing his presence.Comment

Elliot entered the room and plopped the blankets onto the bed. "Here we go. Enough blankets to last us through the harshest of winters." He pulled one out from the pile and draped it over Rose's shoulders, his hands lingering against her for the slightest second. He took another one and wrapped it around himself. Then feeling slightly mischievous, he took the rest of the blankets from the pile and threw them over Rose, covering her completely. "Hey, where'd you go?" he said, chuckling.Comment
