Rose shoved the blankets off her and glared at Elliot, then laughed. She moved closer and snuggled up agasint him, leaning her forehead against his throat, and wraping her arms around him. Elliot felt his heart skip a beat when he heard her utter those words, hope bubbling up inside of him. Could it be that she really had loved him, despite everything that she'd said back in Kakariko? "Well," he started, looking into her crystal blue eyes, "I'm glad to hear that." He gently tilted her head up with the tips of his fingers and leaned in closer so he was only a few inches away from her face. "Because I've known that I loved you since the day you punched me in the nose." He took a chance and went in for a kiss.Comment

"Oh, you know," Elliot said, chuckling, "I was coming on pretty hard to you and I suppose you found it especially creepy." He shook his head at the memory and smiled. "You pack quite the punch."
He laid back down on the bed, under the covers, pulling Rose down with him so she rested her head on his chest. Maybe she'd get her memories back. Maybe she wouldn't. All he knew for certain was that he'd stay by her side for as long as she wanted him and be her crutch.Comment

Elliot continued to stare up at the ceiling, saying nothing. Her words brought up the memory, which invoked a lot of emotions inside of him, namely guilt. Remembering all those things he'd shouted made him feel terrible. Not that he felt like his words weren't completely justified--he still stood by his reasoning that Rose shouldn't be running back to the Gerudo and getting herself hurt. Still, he was a merchant, for goodness sake. He could convince people to buy anything off of him. Surely there must have been something else he could've said to prevent all of this from happening?Comment
