Rin winced as his anger left him, his meditation allowed emotion to flow into gap it had left. The empathy came first, he finally realized to what extent his actions impacted on everyones lives, the bandits would want revenge, their families would mourn. Avalona was stressing out, or crying and kainis is in pain. his mind was no longer clouded by anger so he went inside.

Elliot nodded, giving the guy a once-over. He certainly did look pretty worn and exhausted. His curiosity gnawed at him as he contemplated on whether or not he should ask. His intention certainly wasn't to pry, but he had a feeling that something big had just happened on the farm. Something terrible. He glanced behind him. And if that "something" was also the reason why Avalona was crying her heart out right now, he just had to know what it was. He sighed and decided to go for it. "What happened out there?" he asked, lowering his voice, although why he did that, he wasn't sure.Comment

At this man's question, Kainis tried to keep under control. He knew that this person hadn't known, but he still was pretty angry. "Some bandits showed up. We killed 'em. Now Avalona's in tears, this Rin guy is out on the porch 'meditating", he did finger quotes, "and I'm pretty sure that my brother, who I've been searching for for over a year is dead. That what you were looking for?"So I'm back, or at least I will be eventually. Trying to reintegrate myself.

Elliot took a step back and raised up the palms of his hands in the universal "I'm sorry I asked" sign. "Alright, I...didn't mean to upset you." The man's words seemed so bitter with anger he felt he should say something to help alleviate his distress but nothing came to him. Even he had to admit that everything the guy had said was pretty terrible. "I'm sorry," was all he could muster up. Just then he heard Rose calling out for him.
