Vastol and Annika walked out of the camp, waiting for his opponent to join him. The two stood staring towards the camp for Thanatis.
Kairu followed the three out to the field. He drew his sword and stood next to Vastol. "Demon scum, if you fight one of these people, you must fight me, as well. I won't let you attack innocent people."
"Kairu, was it?" Vastol looked at the man standing next to him. "Your assistance and bravery are appreciated, but unneccesary."
He took a step forward, extending his arms outwards.
As he did so, Annika closed her eyes. She began to glow, turning into a pure white silhouette that morphed and bended its way through the air into Vastol's hands. He caught the silhouette, the glow shattering off the two deer horn knives in his hands.
"We can deal with this guy, no probs." He said.
Thanatis shrugged. Either way, he was confident in his skills. He stepped towards Vastol, twiriling his sword and gripping his shield. He hesitated, then reached up and took off his helmet, casting it to one side. Wisps of grey hair hung in front of his face. "I figure that you should see my face at least once." Then he smirked, and lunged at Vastol, swinging his sword in a horizontal arc as he did so.
So I'm back, or at least I will be eventually. Trying to reintegrate myself.

As Thanatis came at him, he lifted one knife up to one side, blocking the swing. Immediately after, he leapt up, spinning the second knife around by the chain at his shoulder.
Thanatis swivled as he was in mid-air. He brought up his shield and partially deflected the knife, but it sliced his hand slightly. He winced, and jabbed with his sword.

As the jab came, he swiveled his body, stretching the chain to block the sword. As he landed, he spun back around, spinning both knives at Thanatis by the chain.
Thanatis held up his sword and caught the chain. One of the blades whipped around and slashed above his left eyebrow. Blood trickled into his left eye, and he wiped it away. Slashing his sword down, he also lunged and brought up his shield, sweeping his left foot around in a kick.

Bringing up one knife, he stopped the swing. With that, he stepped up, kicking off Thanatis, pushing him back and throwing his sword back off. He backflipped, landing some distance away, smirking with his arms out a bit as he held the knives.
"You need to keep a lid on that temper of yours. I want a fun fight, not a fight where you swing wildly trying to hit me."
Thanatis glanced at his sword, then got determined. He jumped up, swiped with his shield and landed a right hook on Vastol's jaw. He then jumped back and grabbed his sword.

((How can you say "landed" a right hook when i never said I actually hit you? Well, whatever. Im used to rp fighting in a way where both people have a say in whether an attack hits or not))
Vastol was hooked, following the force of the attack, he spun around, to kick Thanatis in the chest before he leapt back. He stood normally again, before blood dripped out his mouth. He wiped it away with his sleeve, before tossing his left knife at Thanatis. The knife kept its force, despite not being held.
Thanatis went to raise his shield, then felt a sharp pain in his upper left arm. He winced, then reached over and loosened his shield straps. He spun and the shield whirled towards Vastol's head. He wielded his sword again, but only after taking out the knife andhurling it into the field.

Vastol ducked under it, rushing forward as he pulled the chain. The knife came into his hand as he caught it. He lunged forward at Thanatis, his right hand forward, in an attempt to stab him with the curve of the knife in his hand.
Thanatis dived over Vastol, slicing with his sword and rolling. He grabbed the stab wound where blood ran. It hurt. A lot. He got a determined look on his face, and charged.

Vastol had been cut across the face a bit. After the dive, he turned to where Thanatis was coming at him from. He dropped into a stance, ready for the attack.
"Sure you don't wanna call it quits? That wound might get infected."
