Raiden stared up at the stars in the sky and wondered about what they were and how they got there. Eventually he fell asleep. He dreamed of his father. It was one of his favorite memories. His father was teaching him how to wield a sword. He remembered the exact expression on the man's face as he got much enjoyment out of this experience with his only son.

Madison woke up shortly after dawn. She saw that the fire had burned out completely, the wood charred and gray. She pulled out some bread and jam that she had packed back in Kakariko the previous day and ate breakfast.

After she put her blanket away, Madison grabbed her staff and walked a short distance away from the campsite. She held the stick upright, holding it with both hands, with the bottom firmly against the ground. Feeling the energy flow from the grass and small weeds around her, she focused and redirected the flow up her staff and into the emerald. This would allow her to store extra energy that Madison could use later, if she decided to do something that would be very taxing on her own energy. What she just did however, was very simple, and none of the plants seemed even slightly wilted from the energy she took since she pulled from so many of them instead of taking all of the energy from just one.

Pleased with herself, Madison walked back and sat by the edge of the pond next to the campsite. After taking a drink of the cool water, she glanced back at Raiden, who was still asleep. Smiling to herself, Madison sat down by the water's edge and meditated, feeling the presence of all the life-forms that lived nearby.

Raiden awoke to a warm, beautiful morning. He stood up and stretched while letting out a loud yawn. He looked at Madison, sitting peacefully beside the pond. This was a very comforting site. He thought that Madison looked very beautiful, even after a long night of sleep. He walked over to her and sat down. "Pretty isn't it?" he said to her.

Madison sensed Raiden before he reached her. He had been a brilliant point of life that flared when he woke, and that point grew as he approached her. As he sat down beside her and spoke, Madison felt butterflies in her stomach. Opening her eyes and smiling at him, she replied, "It's beautiful. From what I've heard, the forest is even more spectacular."

Raiden smiled "Well then, I can't wait to see it." He felt a sense of compfort around her which he wasn't used to experiencing. He enjoyed taking to her and spending time with her. He thought that Madison was a very special person and looked foward to getting to know her better.

As she stood up, Madison smiled at Raiden. "Then let's get moving," she said cheerfully. "We'll be able to make it there before sunset." Madison walked the rest of the way to the forest, eager to experience its beauty with Raiden.
