Sephira chuckled as Elwood defended her partners. She patted his shoulder. "It's alright, Elwood. My star cheetah and wolf are usually unusual to people." She turned back to the girl. "My people are descended from Hylians, but we call ourselves the Stari. I am Sephira Phoenix. My cheetah partner is FallenStar, though she prefers to go by Star. My wolf is Midnight." She placed her fist over her heart and bowed over it.

Ea sighed. "I know what a wolf is, and I also know where to shoot it. You can't blame me for being suspicious when I see this, cheetah for the first time and it rips someone's throat out." She turned. "I'm Ea. I prefer to eat animals rather than be friends with them, but I know cats don't usually generate good meat, from experience." She looked at the wolf, which still seemed threatening. "Neither do wolfs... I think. I just take the advice of the better hunters and go with it."So I'm back, or at least I will be eventually. Sephira grinned. "Normally Star is more gentle than that. But I asked her for help and she went a little extreme, as most animals tend to." She knelt down next to the cheetah, who had finally finished cleaning the blood from her face. "Thank you Star." The cheetah head-butted her. Sephira started scratching behind her ears. "Yes, I've heard wolves aren't good eating. Never tried it, though, since Midnight here would probably kill me for it." Elwood wasn't paying much attention, but he heard something about eating Midnight and he need hear no more. He rushed to the wolf and covered him with his arms. "No! You can't eat Midnight! He's too important, I need him when we get to the New World!" He burrowed his face in hid friend's fur. Nia watched him intrigued.Comment

Ea sighed again. "Eating a wolf is the kinda thing that you would only do if you were about to die. All that muscle makes for the chewiest meat that you'll ever see, and you'll never sell it." She pondered briefly. "You know... if we are passing through Castle Town on the way to this... 'New World'? That sounds interesting. Sephira stifled a laugh. "We're not going to eat him, silly. That's what we're saying." She turned back to Ea. "We're just wanting to head to some place where we can keep Elwood here safe. I guess you can come if you want to, but I'd have to make sure it's alright with James." She continued scratching Star's ear. "Money wouldn't be a bad thing to have, but I'm not sure if the countries we'll be going through will use Rupees." Star looked up at her with an expression akin to a raised eyebrow. Sephira slapped her forehead. "Which is why we'll be selling the meat there. Nayru, why let me be shown up by a cheetah who understand nothing of money?" Elwood looked up cautiously. It seemed they weren't going to eat the wolf. He sighed as though he had dodged a sword and whispered in Midnight's ear. "It's OK, boy, they're not going to eat you." Afterwards he stood back up and looked at Ea. "Ooh, so you're coming too? Yay! The more the merrier!" He began smiling, making scenarios in his head of all the cool things that were gonna happen while they were gone.Comment

Ea got something of an evil grin on her face. "What can I do? I mean, I can do a lot of things, but if you mean what I think you mean..." She quickly made a fire ball and tossed it into the air, catching it, rolling it around in her hand, then hurtled it into the sky where it exploded in something akin to a small firework. "That wasn't what I was looking for, but it doesn't hurt to know who I'd be bringing along. So you're able to control fire too?" She sprouted a flame in her palm and twisted it around her fingers. Elwood in turn was completely blind to Ea's apparent hatred for him. He began playing around with a stick, having Nia fly around with him. In the end he began drawing on the ground with the stick, he was getting bored. Finally he looked up when the fire became a part of the conversation and applauded both of their use of magic. "Ooh," he exclaimed watching the fire with authentic interest.Comment

Sephira glanced at Elwood. "Not as far as I know of. He does have something, though. He didn't get tired yesterday, even after wrestling with my wolf, until after sunset. Beyond that, he's just a 'pure soul' that someone is wanting." She snapped her mouth shut. I have really got to do something about this habit of talking, she thought. After all, before she had joined up with James and Elliot and the others, she had been closed-mouthed. It used to take a lot to get anything from her. At least my phoenix form is only known to James and Rose. As Elwood began paying more attention to what the girl was saying he began disliking it more. His face hardened a little as he walked closer to Ea. "Well, excuse me, but I may not be good with a sword, but I can help," he began speaking faster as he got angrier. "Sure I can't protect us from an attacker with force, but I sure can poison him. I've lived in the forest my entire life and I know how to identify every single plant ever by simply looking at it or smelling except for a few herbs so excuse me for not being able to swing a sword properly but when I save your sorry self from eating dangerous berries or touching poison ivy or even from getting a thorn stuck in your hand that might cut your circulation and make you lose your hand, I'm sure you'll thank me!" He was turning a little pink and had to remind himself to breathe. Titania suddenly jingled, "And, he's photosynthetic."
