So I'm back, or at least I will be eventually. Trying to reintegrate myself.

"And I'll open any defenses." Verigan said, taking the initiative and starting towards the door, grabbing a camouflage coat off its hook as he walked and shrugging it on.
"Anything we're missing?" He asked over his shoulder, grabbing a satchel of food. "It's not a hugely complicated mission."Comment

Meldos shook his head. "No, I think that we're good." He looked at the map one last time- he wouldn't be needing it. "It's pretty much a full-on northeast trek." He walked out of the room they were in and threw the trap door open, instinctively cowering back and covering his eyes. After allowing his eyes a brief moment to adjust, he walked out into the field.

Gwyna smiled slightly, following Meldos with silent footsteps. She was looking forward to testing her skills against an opponent like Rin. She lightly touched the hilt of Verigan's dagger, which was tucked away inside her sleeve.Comment

Deana touched Gwyna's shoulder. "Want me to back you up, just in case?" she whispered to her twin. She flicked her hood over her head to throw shadows over her face, and her feet started the firm, quiet tread she normally took when on the hunt. With her black outfit, she could very easily be mistaken for a shadow, hence her bandit name.Phillipians 4:13 - I can do everything through him who gives me strength.

Verigan followed, pulling a small crossbow off the wall and tucking it into his satchel as he climbed up the ladder. The sunlight was blinding for a moment, but he adjusted quickly, throwing up the hood of his cloak for shade. He started to follow Meldos northeast.

Meldos' eyes had adjusted. "Let's be off. Perhaps we can beat the sun to them." With a quick glance, he set off at a light jog, briefly checking his map and changing course slightly.

Deana squeezed Gwyna's shoulder. Then she moved after Meldos, her cloak flapping slightly in the breeze of dislodged air. She was tempted to pull the edges over her shoulder, to try deadening to noise, but decided not to yet. They weren't near the prey yet, and she didn't like the heat the cloak tended to trap in. Besides, she liked leaving her shoulders bare to the sun.

Gwyna followed her twin sister, her own cloak close around her body so the wind wouldn't catch it. She always moved in silence, even when she didn't have to. It was a habit of hers, one she had deliberately cultivated in herself. Her assignments usually required maximum stealth, and she refused to allow even the slightest whisper of sound to cause her to fail. Silence was her domain, as darkness was her twin's.Comment

Even though Verigan was the last to leave Svende Farm, he was the first back. He dropped down the trapdoor and stumbled to the med room, grabbing a spool of thread and a needle. Gritting his teeth, he pulled off his shirt and looked at the injuries. His arm was okay, it only needed a bandage, but his shoulder... oh Three, his shoulder. the stake had almost gone through, and he could barely move the arm. He threaded the needle and pushed it into the skin, wincing, then back out, pulling the wound closed. It hurt, but he took a little pride in the neatness of the stitches. He'd complained about having to repair clothes, but sewing came in handy.
The job done, he wrapped up his arm and took a swig of red potion. The cut seemed to become unbearable hot, and his shoulder hurt like the dark world, but it would be healed by tomorrow. Verigan slumped down into a chair, the pain keeping his awake.Comment

Gwyna arrived soon after Verigan, her sister leaning heavily on her. She helped her sister over to an empty chair and lowered her into the seat. Grabbing the first aid kit, she began to tend to Deana's wounds, ignoring her own for the time being.Comment

Deana relaxed into the chair Gwyna sat her in. She extended her leg to allow her twin to treat her wounded knee properly. Had she been anyone else, Deana probably would have convinced her twin to tend to her own wounds first, but Deana knew well enough that Gwyna took care of herself last and it was just a waste of energy to try convincing her otherwise.
