Verigan stood up. "I'd be willing to learn. Silent, easy to hide, that's me. That's what I do. Do we have one?" He thought about being able to fight and smiled for a second. He'd be able to defend himself, and help the guild more. He didn't like hurting people, but the guild had saved him, and he'd follow them to the grave. "And, Gwyna, could you maybe show me the basics of knife fighting? Be nice to die less."

Deana made a face at Verigan. "In your dreams," she muttered. She had no reason to be jealous, after all. She might get jealous if the two ended up together, but she herself had always been more of a loner. She wouldn't mind being single while her twin was happily dating.
She looked at Meldos. "A bow would be a handy weapon to learn," she agreed, "but Gwynie's right. We don't have any bows. We could probably make some, but I don't know how. And buying them would be expensive." She shrugged. "Up to you boss, but it might be better to just hone our current skills."Phillipians 4:13 - I can do everything through him who gives me strength.

Meldos shrugged. "We might have a bow somewhere... they threw a couple necessary weapons in here when they built it. Course, wood that's left to sit rots, so... yeah. I doubt any of us could make one, and even one bow is pretty costly, especially with Castle Town destroyed and all."So I'm back, or at least I will be eventually. Trying to reintegrate myself.

"When did we start buying things?" Verigan joked. "Anyway, I don't have much that I can do while we're healing, so I guess I can poke around the storage room a bit." He limped out and down a flight of stairs to the lower level, stopping at the vault door. Inside was everything the guild had recovered over the years, at least what was left of it. It was well guarded, and nearly impossible for anyone unauthorized to get in. He'd learned that. Verigan pressed his hand to the keyhole and it glowed for a second with golden light, his hand tingling, then swung open.
The vault room wasn't large, but every available space had been crammed with storage, most of it unused. Empty shelves lined the walls, and chests were piled everywhere, each enchanted to hold more than possible otherwise. The guild'd been huge back in the day, able to house a hundred in this safe house alone, but now all that was left were the four of them. Their former riches were reduced to a small bag of rupees, they'd come out beaten fighting farmers, and their newest loot wasn't much more than supplies. He kicked at one of the chests, splintering the rotten wood, and groaned. There was a rack of weapons, sure, but not much more then rust and rot. The pair of bows wouldn't hold up to much use.Comment

Meldos came down and looked into the storage room. He groaned. "Well that's dandy. I guess it pays to use weapons." He stroked his chin for a moment, pondering. "If we could get a decent smith to join our ranks, he could melt down those rusty blades and we could benefit from that. But before we worry about that..." He walked back up to where Gwyn and the other girl were sitting(I was too lazy to look up at her name). "So there isn't much of anything down in the storage room. One of us should make our way to another town or something, or at least find a merchant. Pawn off what we found from the farm. Meldos shook his head slightly. "Not two people. Two would attract too much attention, especially when you're all decked up in the capes." He looked around the room. "We should just lay low for a while... I think our best bet would be for one of us to go to Kakariko... maybe with a second in disguise. Sell whatever we stole from the farm... maybe look for a smith who could use whatever use these have." He gestured to the weapons. Verigan looked over the rack of swords, picking one up and running his thumb over the edge, rust flaking off. "That... That could work. There's a forge tucked away somewhere" He put it back on the shelf and stood back, glancing over their supplies.
"You know what? Let's all go, full regalia, cloaks and all. Make an impression, show the world that the bandit's guild is still to be feared. H***, they're already terrified, how much could it take to scare them more? Go in undercover, sell the iron, then stage a raid, something dramatic."
He grabbed a black longcoat, their insignia on the pocket, off the rack and pulled it on, throwing the hood over his head.

Meldos shook his head. "No. If we have four garbed people walking through the streets, especially displaying the mark of the Guild, we'll probably be taken in by the local guard. Even then, we need all the resources we can get. If one person goes, they won't attract as much attention, especially just wearing a run-of-the-mill cape and cowl and... everything else. Verigan nodded, regretfully taking off the long coat and trying to agree with Meldos and Deana. "Yeah, you're right. I mean, we could probably get away with it, but there's still the risk."
He grabbed the sheathed swords from the rack and wrapped them in his cloak, ducking towards the door. "Whichever we choose, we need to have the metal ready. I'll go look for that forge. Gwyna, want to help? It was your idea."Comment
