Kaida narrowed her eyes, frowning. He was obviously lying to her. She might not be good at reading body language, but vocal tones were another story. She could easily tell he was tired, and something was bugging him. She crossed the floor and took his hand. "Donovan, you don't have to lie to me. What's wrong? You can tell me, whatever it is." She wanted him to trust her. They had travelled across two countries together. Surely that would be enough for him to trust her? Whatever had kept him up was important, and she wanted to help. Whatever it was, she was certain she'd be able to help, some way or another.

Donovan felt a reassured feeling about telling Kaida about what happened when she took his hand, but he still just didn't want to tell her everything. He decided to tell her all he could while keeping it brief. "Well... I just had a kinda weird dream." He said, pausing. "And for some reason I know lots of stuff I didn't know before, I think... It's kinda hard to explain. It's like someone told me all about my past, even though nobody was here last night."

Kaida frowned. A weird dream? That was all? And how did he know that those were things about his past? They could just as easily have been illusions from the dream. Still, she knew better than to voice her disbelief. That would never get him to tell her everything. She gently squeezed his hand. "You can tell me anything, Donovan. I promise I won't judge you for it." She looked him in the eye, hoping it might emphasize her intent, and noticed his eyes were no longer brown. Instead, they were red, like the eyes she had seen watching her and Donovan as they entered the village. Her frown deepend as she realized there must be a connection between the two, but she decided not to comment. Not yet, at any rate.

"Alright," Donovan sighed. "Well I had that dream... It was disturbing and all, and it could just be a normal nightmare. It could mean nothing at all. But I know it meant something." Donovan didn't really want to go in depth on his dream, though he would probably have to tell her at some point. For the moment, he only wanted to get his point across to Kaida. "See... It was more than a dream. I got all this knowledge about my past, and where I come from. Like, I know everything about my parents and stuff, out of nowhere." He paused, pretty sure Kaida didn't believe it. "I'm sure you don't believe me. And that's okay, because you would have to be pretty crazy if you do. I can't really believe myself either. And I don't really want to." He hoped he had told Kaida enough. He really just wanted to get out of the house and talk with Inga about it. To see if it was all true. He hoped she would say it wasn't. But that just felt unlikely.

"I'd be a poor friend if I didn't believe you," Kaida murmured. "I think maybe what you dreamed was something the Giants wanted you to know." Or something your mind came up with on its own, she added mentally. "I just know that if it's important, you'll find out why later. The how is rarely ever important, trust me." She grinned. After all, the customer never needed to know how she got something, especially when she had to use illegal methods. All that mattered was that she got it. "Come on, let's go see if our hosts will be making us some breakfast or if we have to scavange some from somewhere." She took his hand and started pulling him downstairs.

Donovan was a little relived when Kaida took him downstairs. He didn't have to go in depth too much on his night, but Kaida seemed kinda skeptical. He wasn't sure if she was just making it look like she understood or if she really did. When they stepped out of the house, Donovan took a deep breath of fresh air and was happy to be out of the house. He had gotten a little claustrophobic in there and wasn't used to seeing roof over his head, but before he slept he had been too tired to notice. He spotted the sheikah they had met the night before inside a house by a window, looking down.
"Well, there's Inga," Donovan said, heading towards the house. At this point Inga was the really only person Donovan knew to go to, and he even felt uncomfortable around her. She was still a stranger. Inga obviously seen them approaching, because she opened the door before they were there.
"Hey guys," The sheikah welcomed. "I'm cooking up a bunch of eggs. You guys okay with that?"
"Hmm, eggs..." Donovan mumbled. He hadn't had eggs for as long as he could remember. "Sounds good."
"Did you guys sleep well?" Inga asked them once they were inside. The room was obviously the kitchen and dining room, and smells of different foods filled the room. Eggs cooked in a pan on a stove at the end of the room.
"Yeah, I was okay," Donovan muttered. "Can I talk with you in private for a bit?"
"Uh, okay," Inga said. "Let me just finish cooking these." Inga guessed that Donovan has some vision of some sort, about his past or something. And she wasn't too surprised. Sheikahs has lots of weird dreams. Sometimes they meant nothing, but sometimes they held ancient secrets, and that kind of stuff. Inga wondered if Donovan wanted to leave the country now. That's what she guessed would happen if he did have a dream about his past. From past experiences, Inga knew that sometimes when a sheikah has a dream, random knowledge comes out of it. That's a sign of the dream being true. She turned away from the stove.
"I don't think I ever really introduced myself," She said, smiling and holding out a hand for Kaida to shake. "I'm Inga Kachal."

Kaida smiled and took the Sheikah's proferred hand, giving it a firm squeeze. "Kaida Dragon Songsword," she said. She glanced at Donovan, then turned back to Inga with a hard gaze. He's mine, her eyes said, warning the other woman to keep her paws off. After all, dragons hoarded treasure, and they defended it to their dying breath. Donovan happened to be her greatest treasure, even if she didn't know it above a sub-conscious level. She could understand the man wanting to consult with Inga, if it had something to do with his dreams the night before, as she hadn't been too supportive of him, but she wanted the other woman to understand that Donovan was hers.
Zarola trotted in then, pausing beside Kaida to yawn widely. The huntress chuckled and knelt down next to the black leopard to rub her ears. "Good morning," she said cheerfully. "Now will you explain to me how you managed to get into the house?" The panther shook herself and lay down, causing Kaida to throw her hands up in frustration. "Giants, if there is a single being on this planet who could understand you!"

(btw, there were Hylian Stari; Sephira just happens to be the last. While they are a secretive race, it's possible Inga knows of them, if you want to mention something. :b)

(Maybe later. I don't know anything about Stari XD)

Inga watched as Kaida glared at her, trying to figure out what it meant. She could only guess that it meant that Donovan was in this Kaida girl's possession. Inga was kind of good with reading body language and guessing what it meant. She smiled as the panther walked in. Inga hadn't seen a panther before, but plenty of other cats like it. She thought it was a pretty neat cat and smirked at how Kaida interacted with it. Not really to make fun, she just thought it was cute. Then she turned back to the stove.
"Looks like these are done," Inga said, getting some plates from a cabinet and sliding eggs onto them. She set the three plates on the table and filled three cups with milk. "So what do you guys plan on doing today?" She asked as she put the cups by the plates.

(well, the biggie is they're animal communicators. :P)

Kaida shrugged as she dug into her food. "Just relax for a day or two. Maybe I'll practice with my sword later, make sure I keep my edge. I was also wanting to find some souviniers to take home. Just some small trinkets to take home, nothing too fancy." But unique enough to fetch a good price in Clock Town, she added mentally.

(No problem, happens to all of us. Looks like I was making cookies while you were making fudge :P)

Donovan and Inga sat down to eat. Donovan wasn't too hungry, and after eating one egg he sorta just poked at the other with his fork. "I guess I'll just be hanging out with you," Donovan said to Kaida. "Nothing else to do, really." As much as Hyrule was disturbing him, Donovan expected that he would have to stay there for while to stick with Kaida. He didn't want her to miss out and he didn't want to leave her alone. He really just didn't want to ever leave her. He felt like he could travel with her forever. With hopes that Ganondorf wouldn’t have any interest in him anymore, Donovan decided to just try to forget about it as much as he could, even though the new knowledge of his past would probably remain in his mind forever. He wanted to somehow enjoy his time in Hyrule with less worries, like the day before.
“Yeah, usually I would have to be training a student of mine,” Inga said. “I think I’ll take a day off today. I can show you guys around if you want.” She really just meant she wouldn’t mind helping Donovan and his friend out while they were here. “So what exactly brought you guys to Hyrule anyways?” She asked after a pause. “Seems like a long walk.” She had assumed they went the whole distance by foot, unless they had a horse that had died before she met them. She was pretty fascinated by how far they got. She had no idea how long it would take or how far away Termina was.

                        (Mmm, cookies. What kind?)

Kaida shrugged. "Just a whim, mostly. Donovan invited me to accompany him to travel and we ended up here. How long have we been on the road? A couple weeks?" she asked Donovan. "My leg muscles are killing me, and I probably should stay off them for a few days before we continue back. But I can't really abide inactivity." She smiled ruefully. "Never really had the patience to simply sit and chat or sew or anything like that." She looked at Inga. "You said you had a student? What sort of things do you teach him, or her? I had a student once, although she finished her training a long time ago. Never got around to finding another. I've always preferred being on my own." She shoveled some more egg in her mouth.

(that doesn't sound like how long it was, but I think just a couple days is a little too short for that distance.)

(They had little m&m things in them :P)

Donovan nodded 'yes' when Kaida guessed their traveling time, and went back to fiddling with his eggs.
"Yeah, his name's Rikit," Inga answered Kaida. "I've been teaching him how to defend himself and stuff... lately I've been showing him around the country. I was pretty much forced to train him by an elder. I don't really like teaching. So... did you guys work any jobs or anything back at home?" She was pretty sure Donovan was unemployed, but she hoped Kaida wouldn't say that either. She just didn't want to bring up a bad subject.

(mmm~ M&M~ I made those last month. Gone within a week. lol That's what happens when you've got a 14-year-old bro.
                            No biggie, it's good. )

Kaida nodded thoughtfully. "Good things to have. Knowing your surroundings can often give an advantage in a fight, although knowing how to fight in the first place is a much better one." She chuckled lightly, then turned to Inga's question. "I'm a-" she paused, thinking swiftly. These people didn't seem like the kind to accept mercenary types, but she wasn't really anything else. So she said the next best thing. "I'm a bodyguard for hire. I protect rich people who hire me when they want a night's revelry in a not-so-safe part of Clock Town." It wasn't a complete lie. She did sometimes get hired out as a bodyguard. She was just usually hired as an assassin, or to fetch rare, exoctic things. She prefered the former, but the latter payed pretty well too.

"A bodyguard," Inga said, sounding interested. "That's kinda what us sheikahs are supposed to be like with the monarchy. Sometimes we have sheikahs secretly protecting them, unseen. Usually if they leave the castle or if somethings unusual. I haven't really been assigned to guard them before." Inga ate some eggs while she realized something she wanted to make sure the duo knew. "And something else I forgot to mention... I have been really frank with you guys, but us sheikah are pretty secretive people, so could you just not tell anyone about whatever I tell you? Thanks.” After a while, she turned to Donovan. “So what did you want to talk about?” She asked him, quietly.
“Uhm, nothing,” Donovan stuttered. Since asking her to talk, he realized that he didn’t want to think about the night before at all and see how things went in Hyrule. He could surely just be crazy.
“You sure?” Inga asked him. It sure did sound like he really was interested in talking in private.
“Yeah, it’s fine,” He lied. “I-I wanted to ask you something but forgot.”
“Alright,” Inga said with a doubtful tone in her voice. She was pretty good at figuring out people’s feelings.
Donovan stood up and offered to take any empty dishes. “You ready to head out, Kaida?” He asked her as he took the plates and put them in a bucket of water to wash them.

Kaida smiled at Inga. "Secret's safe with me," she said. It was easy to keep a secret, she did it many times. Pretending not to know about something was harder, but she could come up with a decent enough excuse if her tongue slipped. She glanced side-ways at Donovan, wondering what he had been wanting to talk about and why he changed his mind. Still, it was his business, she should leave him to it. Her curiosity made her want to ask, though.
She smiled. "Ready whenever, Donovan," she replied. "Where should we go first? I think I'd prefer the training fields, but I'd be content to do that later if you have somewhere else in mind." She glanced down at Zarola, who seemed to have fallen asleep on the floor. "She's probably not going to move at all. Hope you don't mind, Inga, but you know how cats are. Big, wild cats seem to be even more so." She sighed.
