Donovan got up to follow Kaida. "I don't think thats whats making her tense," Donovan replied to Malina, somewhat irritated. "Its just that we don't really belong in a palace, you didn't have to bring us here. We don't need to be treated like visitors." He walked out to the courtyard and met up with Kaida. "Let's just go." He said to Kaida, a bit relieved that they were leaving. "You aren't the only being bugged by this place."

Malina frowned as she watched Donovan walk out. What was that about? Of course she should treat them as visitors. They were the first Terminans to enter Labrynna in years, perhaps centuries. "I wish Dad was here," she murmered. "He would know how to deal with these foriengers." Then she realized. They were forieng. Maybe that was what was wrong? Maybe Termina wasn't as sociable as Labrynna. Her books did say it was darker. She slumped in her chair. "So I blew my first chance as a diplomat. Dad's going to be disappointed with me."
Kaida looked at Donovan, an eyebrow raised. "This place isn't what's bugging me. She is. I hate people in power, they are way too full of themselves, and she's no different. Bloated on her own importance." She snorted and shook her head, like a horse. "Giants know what makes them so puffed up, they're nothing special." She turned and lead the way to the palace gates, but hesitated near the stables. "Were you wanting to look at the horses?" she asked.Phillipians 4:13 - I can do everything through him who gives me strength.

Donovan hurried up to keep up with Kaida. "Nah, it's fine," He replied to her when she asked if he wanted to look at the horses. "Let's just keep going. Maybe I'll get a horse later." They walked towards the city gates quietly and quickly until Donovan spoke back up. "So where are we going now?" He asked.Comment

Kaida shrugged. "Wherever the wind blows us, I suppose. We didn't wait around to find a map, so I suppose further east, towards the rising sun." She glanced behind her to make sure Zarola was following her. The panther had stopped outside the palace when they had entered, off to do Giants knew what, but she was following behind them now. "We could always go south if you'd rather. West would be going to the sea, and north outside the city is where we came from.Phillipians 4:13 - I can do everything through him who gives me strength.

"I say we head further east," Donovan suggested as they passed through the city gates. "If we entered from the north, and a little west, there should be a lot more in the east. Who knows, maybe we'll stumble across some other country, like that Holodrum place the brat mentioned, or Hyrule." Now they were walking along the grass, towards what had to be the east. Donovan assumed that because they appeared to be heading towards where the sun was rising the previous day. The sun had just set, after walking for a few hours, making it harder to predict direction. There was no longer any sign of the sun, and the stars were beginning to shine. As they silently walked, Donovan watched the sky, admiring it's dark yet glowing beauty. After gazing above for quite a while, he finally looked ahead. Darkness. Not any mystical cloud of chaos like old legends told about, but dark silhouettes of trees lined the night, in front of that moon. The same moon from Termina, it appeared. With a calm face too. It wasn't crashing down to the land any time soon, like those legends tell about. He wondered if all lands looked up to the same Moon, same Sun. After hours of walking, and a little talking, the two Terminans were under the shelter of the forest trees.
"I say we rest a bit," Donovan told Kaida. "There's gotta be some running tomorrow." He sat down, leaning against a tree, and letting the peace of the night absorb his soul. The night was putting him to sleep and yet, he couldn't help keeping his eyes open to look around. He had always loved forests. This one was nicer than the swamp, and he sensed it would be much bigger too. And he was happy there were no foreign monsters attacking them. He assumed he could tame them, like in Termina, but in a foreign country you never know. This night seemed safe though, and he doubted meeting any monsters in the beauty of the green forest within the dark blue night.
