"We learned about Kokiri a few times, but never Stari. I wonder why, that should be changed..." Saharah mumbled the last part. "Usually I just drink water, and when I can get it tea, but the tea I usually drink is really bitter, with a sweetish after taste.. hard to explain really, I should've brought some with me. If you want, I can help you search for the plants you're looking for, if you explain what they're looking for." she offered, standing up and brushing the soil and twigs off her knees that'd stuck to her.

"Must be because the Stari are more secretive. Although, with most the tribe helping Rhykim conquor Logata City, you'd think they'd be better known by now." Joshua shrugged. "I think I can guess what herbs you use for that tea. I like to experiment with different kinds of herbs to make different kinds of teas. It can be pretty fun, as long as I keep some antidote herbs on hand in case I accidently make it poisonious." He grinned, then looked around, frowning. "Night, this doesn't look like where we can find chervil."
That's because it's not, you nincompoop, the cheetah replied, standing. I was telling you the herbs grow in the other direction. But did you listen to me? Of course you didn't.
"Sorry," Joshua said, a grin spreading across his face. He turned back to Saharah. "Chervil is a sweet-smelling plant with large, leafy, fern-like leaves and small white flowers. You should be able to find it pretty easily, when we get to where it normally grows." He turned and lead the way, whistling cheerfully.

Saharah followed Joshua, snickering when Night seemed to scold him; as they walked, she followed his whistled tune with humming, careful to make sure his whistling was always higher than her humming. She watched the ground as they walked so she didn't trip over roots, looking up often to make sure she was still following Joshua and not bump into trees.

"There," Joshua said, pointing to where the groups of chervil grew. "That's chervil." He crouched by it and started to carefully pluck stems. "Don't pick all of it," he warned. "Otherwise it will all dry out before I need to use it, and I won't be able to replenich my supply." He tucked the stems he had plucked in a pouch on his belt. Night lay down near-by, watching.

(I'm just going to squish myself in here lol)

Jenna walked in with Layla smiling, she couldn't believe she was finally here and she couldn't wait to start her magic training.

(three-sentence minimumn, mids. You still need one more.)

Joshua glanced up as he saw two people appear from among the trees. He grinned. "Layla! Long time no see! How've you been doing?"

Layla sighed. "Hello to you, too, Joshua, and may you never fear the dark. I think you know full well how I am, since the force only left a week ago."

Joshua rolled his eyes. "Yeah, may you never feel sorrow, though knowing you, you feel it all the time. And you've been in an army since I last saw you. That would make a little bit of a difference as to how you are." He looked at the girl beside the older Stari. "Whose your friend? Don't think I've ever seen you bring exotic pets home before."

Saharah snickered a little but kept the laughter to herself as she watched the two newcomers. Another Stari, it seemed, as well as somebody else; maybe a friend of Joshua and this.. Layla.. both? She tied all of the herbs she'd gathered for Joshua with a small vine, then used another, stronger vine, to tie up her hair.

Layla rolled her eyes. "Joshua, I do not bring exotic pets home, as you very well know. It looks to me like you brought one. Anyways, this is Jenna, a witch in training. Jenna, this is Joshua, healer of the Stari."
Sensing Jenna's nerves, she quickly sent Do not worry about forgetting anything. The Stari are lax about their rules, and we do not expect it of strangers. I only taught you to make you accepted quicker, and so that you might gain favor among my people for knowing our ways.

"A witch in training?" Joshua repeated, raising an eyebrow. He looked the girl up and down. "I thought witches were ugly, green-skinned people who wore black robes and road broomsticks. You are not a witch. So you must be an exceptionally gorgeous sorceress." He placed his hand over his heart and bowed deeply. "May you never feel sorrow, but I suspect that it would take quite a bit to make such a beautiful creature as yourself upset."

Layla shook her head. Getting carried away there, flirt, she thought.

Jenna smiled nervously at Joshua, copying his bow "may your friendships bring you eternal happiness" she said softly "nice to meet you, and my mother always told me we were witches, but if you think I'm a sorceress, that's cool to. I never thought there was a diffrence between the two though" she didn't even notice his firlting.

Saharah stepped forward and handed Josua the (what's the name of the plant again?) she'd gathered for him. She then turned to the two new girls and smiled brightly. "My name's Sahara," she said, copying the bows everybody seemed to be doing.

"There is a differnce," Layla said before Joshua could comment. "A wtich is a practitioner of natural magic and/or a follower of one of several nature based paths, while a sorceress follows the more black arts. However, most people tend to consider them the same, since they both use magic."

Joshua snorted. "Bookworm," he accused of Layla, who rolled her eyes, then turned to Jenna. "I don't think you're evil, so I guess you are a witch. Cool. So what brings you to fair Rayhaven? I can show you around if you like."

"I don't think so," Layla answered before Jenna could. "For two reasons. One, I do not want you to scare her with your unusual antics. And two, you are going to distract her so much that she won't even remember why she's here."

"Isn't that th goal?" Joshua asked grinning.

                          "You're hopeless," Layla sighed.

"Layla brought me here to help me unlock the secrets of my mother journal" Jenna said, cluching the journal to her chest "my family have there own form of writing, I guess, my mother only taught me some of the letters, so I don't understand most of it.... I'm kinda holpless at magic, I tend to mess up the spells I do know to" she blushed bright red, then looked at the both confused "wait distract me, how would he distract me, he's just another guy, how can guys distract me"

(don't forget, she lost her mother a young age..... she doesn't really know the "facts of life" yet lol)

(Sorry about not replying to you, Ammy. I didn't see your post.)
(mids, I sputtered with laughter at your post.)

Layla bowed to Sahara. "May you never fear the dark, Sahara. I am Layla Serino. I am sorry that the first of our tribe for you to meet was Joshua. He is a little..." She trailed off and shrugged her shoulders, as if there really wasn't a good enough word to describe what exactly Joshua was.

Joshua ignored the two, other than to take the chervil from Saraha, and grinned at Jenna. "I'd be willing to be your practice target when you try working on the love spells," he offered, "espcially since I'm not like other guys. I'm special."

Got that right, Night muttered. No one else is as big a fool as you are.
"What's that supposed to mean?" the boy demanded of her.
Night stood and stretched. You're forgetful, you don't think when you go somewhere, and you're trying to flirt with a stranger who obviously has no interest in you.
"I do too think. I just think about other things. So there." Joshua stuck his tongue out.

Layla rolled her eyes and translated what the two were saying for those not versed in cheetah. Her own skills with the language were rusty, but she could hear Joshua's thoughts enough to guess what they were saying.

((it's okay HBC, we were both posting at once and I ninja'd you))

Saharah shrugged. "S'okay, I wasn't exactly expecting to find anybody living in this forest, back home they didn't teach us about the Stari.. At least, I never heard anything about them. Maybe the higher classes learned about them..." her voice trailed off as she scratched Night behind her ears again. Looking up at Joshua, she thought, "He is so lovestruck,"
