Rhykim, with Xeonph's assistance had reached Falldell. The Gerudo women were all out watching Rhykim's army march through town. No one was attacking. Under Rhykim's banner was a white flag, a signal for peace. Approaching Rhykim and Xeonph, was a man accompanied by two large Gerudo women in suits of Iron Knuckles armor.

Man: "Imperator Rhykim Verass, why are you here?"

Rhykim: "I've come to engage diplomacy...." Rhykim was hesitant trying to coax out the man's name.

Man: "I am Akbar, leader of the Gerudos. We do not want your diplomacy. You returned to us two fallen warriors of our race. You brought us a spit in the face."

Rhykim: "Lord Akbar, I ask that you allow us to go inside and negotiate. I have made a point to personally see you and personally negotiate a peace treaty. I do not want to see more bloodshed. Our people have a future, working together."

Akbar: "I will bring you inside and we will... talk. But I assure you, you will not like our terms. Come, diplomacy awaits."

Rhykim stepped forward, signalling Xeonph to join him. Akbar and his bodyguards lead Rkyim and Xeonph to a fancier looking building. He offered them inside.

    (Sorry about the wait.)

Xeonph followed Rhykim into the building. He hoped that this was not going to end in a battle. He had to admit, even the two Gerudo in the hulking suits of armor behind him had been a tiny bit, for lack of a better word, scary. While he could probably strike one down if he absolutely had to, he was certainly less than eager to try. though, Even though the two rulers seemed to plan to talk things out, the thought loomed over him.

Akbar: "Now you, Imperator, take a seat."

Rhykim did as he instructed and took a seat at the end of the small table. Akbar took the other seat across from him.

Rhykim: "If I may ask, how did you come to take lead of the Gerudos? Our last intel reported that a woman was in charge, not a man."

Akbar: "Verass, there are a lot of things you think you will know but will always remain a mystery. However, I am willing to induldge. It started back when you returned two of our Generals to us. Everyone was enraged that you had such talent killed. The former ruler began to break down. She was concerned that you would come and exterminate our entire culture. But in the midst of her public panic, it started to pass on to everyone else."

      Rhykim: "Except you, I presume?"

Akbar: "Precisely, using a tactic you did to win over some of your early soldiers like Falconmill and the underworld of Logata City, you talked your way to support. I did the same. I promised that once you were dead we would help usher for a new era for Logata, maybe even take the throne ourselves."

Rhykim: "Interesting... So you start rebelling to lure me here, and so you could fight on your turf, rather than mine. Unlike you, however, I have and will keep all of my promises to my people. I will make a new Logat-"

Akbar: "What about the promise you made to Falconmill? About making Falconmill the rightful capital? Or has that slipped your mind?"

Rhykim's semi-amused face turned into serious rage.

Rhykim: "How dare you... You wouldn't know the first thing I told those people!"

Rhykim slamming his fist into the table leaving a series of cracks from the impact. The Iron Knuckles took a defensive position around Akbar, who was now the one amused.

Akbar: "I was there, Eugene. Don't you remember? Next to you, he had a Gerudo advisor. After your exile, rumors broke out a couple years later that you had returned. The King ordered me to follow you as long as you were on the mainland. I was the one who tipped the King off, making hime meet you in person. And here we are, many years later. What his left of his Majesty's Royal Court, about to do battle."

Rhykim: "I will NOT be talked to in this manner!"

Rhykim roared out. His rage escalating.

Rhykim: "I came here to talk peace! Surely you do not want to be responsible for the death of your people. I assure you that if we battle, I will win. And I will scatter your young to the winds. Anyone older than being a babe, will perish! It is time to remove the remnants of the Old World! Are you sure you do not wish to talk about your surrender?"

Akbar: "No. We will not surrender. We are strong. We shall prevail."

Rhykim: "This is the last chance! I command you to surrender under the decree of the Unification Proclamation!"

Akbar: "Here you say you are going to purge the Old World yet you use a doctrine from that time. Your pathetic, Verass. A hypocrite! Oh and don't worry about those 'reinforcements' of yours comming from Ironlynne. The Gorons were already tipped off and we have a platoon moving out to reinforce the flank. Say goodbye to your precious General and Commander. The Stari were... such a cultural people. A shame, their best is going to die."

Rhykim was now engulfed in complete rage. He threw the table to his left. Akbar snapped and his guards went to kill Rhykim. Rhykim drew his sword in defense, killing one of the guards and throwing Xeonph out of harm. The other guard backed off, Akbar smiling.

Rhykim: "You dare attack during a diplomatic session? You are a coward!"

Akbar: "But you want to know something, Imperator? You just killed one of my bodyguards during the diplomatic meeting. Look at what others will think. Your constant roaring and yelling and now a dead woman."

Rhykim growled and turned to leave, kicking the door in and walking out.

Xeonph, after having been shoved aside, had had his hand at the ready to spring to his blade on his back, in case it had escalated. But as Rhykim walked out and he followed, he relaxed ever so slightly. He hoped this didn't lead to a full-out battle, but he had a feeling it might. Even though he wasn't looking forward to a battle, he wondered how it'd be different leading troops, albeit not a large amount.

Rhykim returned to his troops where he gathered his highest ranking troops. "Alright, here is what we are going to do. We could not come to a mutual agreement to end hostilities. You will, also, no doubt hear that I killed a Gerudo during a diplomatic session. The truth is ... I defended myself which led to a death. However, what we need to focus on now, is the battle. Since the Gerudo are natural fighters and cavalry soldiers, we will set up a barricade around our camps. No doubt the unprovoked hostilities will force them to attack us at night. As such, we will remain on high alert. If they have not attacked by dawn, then we will. The only sleep you will be allowed are rotational, three hour naps. Rations will be distributed to each person at the start of their shift. Any questions?"

Xeonph stood to Rhykim's side listening to his orders. He sighed internally, muttering a bit under his breath. He thought this could've been avoided, although ending in violence was probably inevitable. He wasn't particularly scared though. He was more than confident in his skills in battle, although perhaps a little too confident. He sorely underestimated the Gerudo in terms of skill, something which he would likely soon come to regret.

"I will assume that there are none. Very well, I will now pass out and inform all of you of your rotation shift." Rhykim started to do what he said.

                (Timelapse is good)

Xeonph, having received his shift, prepared for the night. He double and triple checked his equipment, as while he sorely underestimated the Gerudo, he wanted to make sure his equipment was as good as it could be. He sat crosslegged in the camp, and began to wait.

                  *Timelapsing forward several hours*

The night was mostly quiet with the exception of clanking of metal, crackling of fires, and deep breathing in the cold, frigid air. Rhykim looked out at Falldell. Above him were the stars of the universe. He could see the constellation Din's Boar easily and the Deku Spirits Cluster. Rhykim thought and ffocused about how quiet it was, too quiet in his opinion. Little did he know that despite how prepared he made his soldiers, no one expected the sneak attack the Gerudos already were doing.

By now a small portion of Rhykim's somewhat large conglomeration of a camp was eliminated. The Gerudo had infiltrated and killed enough soldiers to even the odds in terms of numbers. What would surprise everyone is how quietly and how effectively it was done. Not a single mistake. The Gerudo were flawless in their kills. In the dark, Rhykim continued to stare in the direction of Falldell. Another thing he noted was how unusually dark it was. That despite the moon and stars glowing bright, the desert was virtually pitch black with the exception of lit windows and Rhykim's campfires.

It wasn't until the first crack of dawn broke the horizon that Rhykim felt true fear for the first time since being a kid. Before his eyes was the Gerudo force, ready and prepared to attack when the order was given. On a dune was Akbar and three groups of cavalry, estimating to about 30 horsewomen a group. Along the front lines of the Gerudo were the Knuckles. Alternating between iron and bronze, about 20 Knuckles per designation at about arms length from each other. Rhykim began the order for his troops to line up and be ready.

Xeonph rose slowly, his mouth slightly agape. The forces of the Gerudo stood before the camp, with each and every soldier not having a shadow of doubt in their skills on their face. The knuckles, iron and bronze, stood imposingly behind rows of cavalry. He gulped, quickly praying to the gods. Then he realized, they were lesser in number then they had been. They were even in number, but with the Gerudo's skill...

No. This was not the time to be fearful. Fear meant he would surely falter, and that would mean death. He straightened, and proceeded to line up as Rhykim had commanded the soldiers to do so.

Rhykim looked to the horizon and waited for the sun to completely come up and clear the horizon. During his wait, all he could hear were drums beating, although no one else could hear it. It struck an even bigger fear into him. He knew full well drums couldn't possibly be beating, yet... he could hear the sound of drums. But before he could figure out why, the Gerudos began their attack. In moments a rain of arrows came falling down upon Rhykim and his army. "Everyone, shields up!" The soldiers did as ordered, but for a fourth of the soldiers, it was too late. They were shot down. The knuckles and infantry began to mobilize. They began walking and when they got close they all charged. The Logatans tried to keep their footing but the advance of the Knuckles and swipe of their battleaxes, the lines broke apart and were slaughtered. Rhykim order a fallback, but the Gerudo infiltrators revealed themselves. Rhykim and his army were surrounded.

The breath seemed to leave Xeonph's mouth as the infiltrators were revealed. He cursed silently under his breath. This was not going to end well. Even if by some fluke they did come out victorious, many of the men would be lost. No matter. He raised his shield and sword, prepared to face his attackers.

Rhykim did his best to figure something out. The best he could think of was for everyone to make a circle and go back-to-back, everyone facing out and to ensure there was no flank to expose. It was a tactic not popular because of the fact that the group could easily fall aor become seperated. The Knuckles and infiltrators got close and the real fight began. Rhykim sparring with two of the Iron Knuckles, many of his soldiers had to team up to take down even a Gerudo infiltrator. The women were nimble and quick. The Knickles being very large and strong. If it wasn't for the armor, a Knuckles and Rhykim couldn't be immediately told apart.

All Rhykim hoped for was his plan to not falter.

Xeonph could only observe in awe as he saw Rhykim fight with two Iron Knuckles. To think Rhykim could even take on one on his own... then again, he was Rhykim. His momentary loss of focus almost cost him, as he barely evaded the huge axe of a Knuckle plummet earthwards mere inches in front of him. He jumped back, gripping his sword. The Knuckle went for a low sweep, which almost connected, had it not been for Xeonph drawing his legs up. His mind raced, thinking of a strategy.

Blast! I'm done for now! If only I could escape, maybe fly away...

That was it! The idea had taken a split second to form, and even less to put into action. The Knuckle was going for an upwards strike, and Xeonph dodged by leaping into the air, unfurling his wings, and then hovering no more than a few feet in front of the Knuckle. His face was overcome with an almost sickly smirk. This was certainly going to be interesting.

Out of the corner of his eye, Rhykim watched Xeonph take a new, unique approach to fighting the Knuckles. He was rather impressed. He continued to focus on the battle, his fight. He swung his sword cuttin the arm off of one, the woman inside hollering out in pain. A little remorse fell on Rhykim's attitde as he wanted a peaceful solution rather than a bloody one, as Nyx has suggested with Silvervale. The crippled Knuckles backed off leaving Rhykim and her combat sister to spar one on one.

They continued clashing blades until Rhykim grabbed her helmet where the face was. He dragged her face in kneeing her stomach, severely denting the armor. The dent was so bad, the woman gasped for air. He then rammed his elbow into her back, sending her to fall to the ground, lifeless.

Rhykim cursed in his frustration. He didn't want to kill her, there was already enough bloodshed. There was enough of a moment for Rhykim to watch the battle. He let the violence sink in, only to have him shun away from the idea that he has caused.

Instead of his continuance of fighting, he still wanted a peaceful resolution. He then swallowed his pride and caved to his typically ignored mercy.

"All troops! Stand down! We surrender!"

Rhykim dropped his sword allowing it to be covered in sand. He kept his hands raised, waiting for all of his soldiers to do the same.
