Sky landed awkwardly, her tired wings making the normally graceful landing clumsy. She harrumphed, feeling that this was not her fault, but the wind's fault. It had tugged at her at just the wrong moment in just the wrong way. She didn't do anything wrong, she had preformed perfectly, as always. She flapped her tired wings once, then decided she should let them rest. Not that she needed to, she could keep flying for hours more. But it would be a good idea to take a nap, enjoy the sun while it was still up. She smiled as she lay down, the warm sun feeling good now that she wasn't with that witch of a stepmother.

Pete was walking through Lagata field when he spotted a Rito laying in the sun, "Hello There!" he called to her. He heard a low growl, he looked down and Saratti was hunched down ready to pounce.

Sky was rudely woken by a great weight landing on her. She squealed and struggled away, barely managing to keep the large spotted cat from closing its jaws on any part of her. "How dare you!" she shrieked, scrambling away from the snapping teeth. "I am Skylor! Daughter of Lord Takata! Get off me, or my father will plan a punishment fit for your crime!" Eventually she managed to get out from under the cat and scurried a distance away, glaring at it.Phillipians 4:13 - I can do everything through him who gives me strength.

"SARATTI SToP!" Cried Pete, she looked at the Riot and made another leap. Pete saw this coming, and when she jumped he manipulated the air currents, to knock Saratti on her back.

Sky dusted herself off huffily. "Well I hope you're happy with yourselves, Pete and Saratti. You just attacked the only daughter and heir of the richest Rito of the colony, next to the king himself. Oh when I tell my father, you'll be in big trouble." She crossed her arms and glared at them, expecting the usual begging and pleading to begin. After all, any time she did this at home, the offender would do everything in their power to make it up to her, so she wouldn't invoke her father's wrath. It didn't matter that this fellow wasn't a Rito, or that she was away from home. Her jaw dropped. Title? Had she mentioned a title? She didn't think so. After all, that would mean saying her father's name. And other than that his last name was also Takata, she didn't know his name. He was either Lord Takata if she needed to invoke his power and wealth, or Daddy when she wanted something. Besides, she had specified who she was, hadn't she? Only child of a rich Rito had to carry some weight, didn't it?
"Of course I don't have any food," she sniffed. "Do I look like a pack mule? Besides, even if I did, I wouldn't give it to an overgrown cat, not after attacking me like that. You feed it." She sniffed again, not believing it for a second. She didn't like cats. They liked to play with her feathers, or chase her skirts, or herself. They were diabolical creatures, and she couldn't stand them. One that big was even worse, because it wasn't intimidated by her larger size, since it was nearly as large as her. "Skylor Takata, but to you, I'm Lady Takata." She bent her knees in a small curtsy, but she didn't lower her head or uncross her arms. Her chest flared with anger. She hadn't been expecting a bow exactly, but some form of respect. She wasn't a child, after all. She had her wings! Once a Rito had their wings, they were considered adults. And he was laughing at her! Why was he laughing at her? She stamped her foot angrily. "I'm not a child! Sky stamped her foot impatiently. "Course they do. My dad's big brother does. He tells me stories about his friends, and we play games. He's funny, always talking about these people after him. We like coming up with codes together, so no one can tell what we're saying." She grinned. She didn't know her uncle had paranoid schizophrenia. "And no, I'm not royalty. I'm running away from home." She folded her arms and stuck her lip out. "Angie wants me to learn how to wear dresses and make polite conversation and eat with so many kinds of forks at one meal."
