Laora and Rylin walked into the market area of Logata City. Rylin looked around, and sure enough one or two stalls were advertising food. He had to admit he was hungry. Laora looked at him. "There must be a weapon's smith somewhere around here. Xeonph cut one of the straps on my shield, without that it's useless. I'll be off to find one of those." With that, Laora went to ask some people who appeared to be selling and repairing weapons, and Rylin went to find food.

So I'm back, or at least I will be eventually. Trying to reintegrate myself.

Destinie had just reached the slave pens when the slave dealer came. "Trying to escape again, girl? I would have thought you would have learned your lesson by now." He grabbed her and flung her against the wall, then dragged her to the whipping post and flogged her for her disobedience. "If you weren't worth so much money with that pretty face of yours, I'd kill you and have done with it." He signaled to a couple of his men to take her away and get her ready to be auctioned. -
Alwin walked toward him, "Would this one be a problem, sir?" he asked in his official voice, winking at her, "If so I would gladly take her off your hands that are obviously much better than a slave's."
"Go to the auction," the trader said gruffly.
"I didn't know there was an auction," Alwin said, dangling a few hundred rupees in front of him, "Or is there?"

Laora saw a burly man in a stall that was loaded down with shields. He walked up to him. "Could you fix the strap on this shield? It's been cut."
"Well, sure I could, but why not just buy a new shield?"
"I'd like to keep that one, if you don't mind."
"It's not that well made. You could buy one of our Hylian shields and-" Laora reached across the counter, grabbed the man's collar and drew him forward. "Just fix the shield!"
"OK, OK, no need to get all angry on me there. It'll be about 15 minutes." Laora paid up and then walked away. He made sure to stay near this stall.So I'm back, or at least I will be eventually. Trying to reintegrate myself.

Destinie broke free of the men's grasp and ran to cower behind Alwin, crying softly. "Thank you....." She whimpered in pain.Comment

Alwin smiled and patted her back, "No problem," he said, "you deserve it," he tossed the man a small pouch extra, "Don't tell anybody," he walked away with her.Comment

Destinie followed him, clinging to his arm. "Now where should I go? I never thought about what I would do once I was free..."Comment

Alwin smiled, "I have to get back to town, so why don't you come with? Start off a new life there? Make up for the time you lost."Comment

"I don't think so," he said, grinning, "I know so," he patted her shoulder affectionately.Comment

Destinie flinced slightly, wincing. "Owwie. They... they aren't very careful where they hit..... As long as they make you hurt, they don't care....." She looked down at the ground, shamefaced.Comment

Alwin grinned. He didn't mind the see through, but he knew that ie had no right to disagree. He gave her 50 rupees, "Go on a shopping spree, my lady. The rest of your life starts today."Comment

She smiled happily and hugged him, excited. She hadn't had spending money in so long, she could barely remember the last time she'd been shopping. "Thank you so much!" She kissed his cheek shyly, then ran off to find some new clothes, blushing brightly.Comment
