Rhykim approached the door and stopped, looking in and addressing the sisters before leaving. "If instigating his rage causes him to lose his edge, then that's what we will do. For now, get ready for the Assembly. There were will detail a plan to silence this... Narus..." Rhykim turned in a neutral manner, taking his leave from the sisters. He fetched a messenger and ordered that he spread word of the meeting in a few hours. After he sent the messenger away, he entered his room where he began suiting up for the day.

Nyx shook her head as Rhykim left. "Silence Narus. As if he were just an annoying fly. It'd be best if he just left the Stari to us. I know he's clever, but unlike the other races, he has no experience fighting the Stari. He has knowledge of all the races, Rito, Draco, Gerudo, Goron and Zora. But the Stari? He only knows us, and we aren't exactly prime examples." She raised an eyebrow as Amaya pulled her other boot from in front of the fire and yanked it on.
"He'll want to anyways," she said, combing her hair with her fingers, unsnarling knots. "It's a threat to him, so he'll want to address it himself. It doesn't matter that it's more likely to do with me than him."
"Did you take him to your bed?" Luna asked, the reproachful tone lost amid her purring as Solar groomed behind her ears.
"The opposite," Amaya answered, beginning to braid her hair. "I barely spoke to him."
Nyx pinched the bridge of her nose, muttering under her breath about her sister. "Let's just get this assembly over so I can get a proper bath, a hot meal, and a long nap." She stood and exited the room, Amaya close behind as she continued working on her braid. The two cheetahs remained where they were.

        *Two hours later*

Rhykim, Amaya, Nyx and the Council had gathered at Rhykim's request. With the collective group together, Rhykim began. "As you all have heard by now, General Nyx and the forces she led to Ironlynne have returned. As you may, no doubt, have heard, the losses were substantial and internal strife seems to be rising over the tactical decision. I want to address that I had no idea that the Gerudos and Gorons had intel about our attack. However, the Gorons will hear about the fate of the Gerudos and will recluse themselves back into their mountain for another generation or two. Now, the other topic of discussion is about the Stari." Glances between the non-Stari looking at Nyx and Amaya and each other and then back at Rhykim. "It appears that the former Stari Chieftain has passed on. His son was enlisted in the Expeditionary Force and when word of the Chieftain's death reached the boy, he decided to break away from us and break the alliance between Stari and the Logatan Empire."

"So what are you planning to do?" A voice said from three chairs to the left of Rhykim.

"I want to resolve this situation peacefully as possible, like the Gerudo. I fear, however, that Narus, the boy, is too blinded by his hate of me that he will not listen to reason and negotiate. As such, I will leave General Nyx as acting Governor of all of Logata. Amaya has informed me that if Narus plans to retaliate, he will use strike parties and blindside us until we fall, much like Stari tactics. While Nyx is in charge, Amaya and myself will both leave for the main Stari encampment, approach their Elders and attempt to re-negotiate an alliance, or at the very least, a truce."

Amaya scowled. Once again she'd be sent on the peaceful mission while her twin focused on the dangerous side. Granted, this was more Nyx's area of expertise this time, but Amaya was growing tired of simply being the face that intimidated into agreement. She wanted to spill some blood, to bolster her reputation as a heartless killer. Not stand around and look fierce while someone else negotiated. At least this time it made sense. Nyx would be much better at countering Narus' attacks while Amaya could give Rhykim an idea of how to negotiate with the elders. Of course, the only problem would be if the elders had accepted Narus as their leader, or decided to choose a new one that would let them return to their secluded lifestyle.

Nyx spoke up. "If you can get the Elders to accept a truce, that will give us a lot fewer Stari to worry about. Narus will still have his small faction, but at least the Elders will keep most the Stari from joining him out of obligation. Only those who believe his cause will follow him despite the Elders protests. They might even be severed from the tribe, if we're lucky. That would further discourage followers."

"Precisely, I have no intention of murdering hundreds of Stari because of one man's petty vengeance. I'm well aware the Stari are our closest allies and make up a large backbone of the Expeditionary Force. Discouraging and demoralizing any incitement should help bring a swift end and help save lives."

Nyx and Amaya frowned. Backbone of the Expeditionary Force? The Stari didn't join until the final push to take Logata City. They were simply allies, only a very few were actually part of Rhykim's army. Not many more than that had remained in Logata City; the rest were either with Narus, or had returned to the forest. Still, Rhykim was right, he didn't have many allies. The Stari were definitely his closest and making them enemies would not be a good idea. He'd have to be careful how he spoke to the elders. "Very well, Master Rhykim," Amaya said. "Let's see what we can do to keep this situation from escalating."

"This session is adjourned. Nyx, you have the Throne until I return."

The advisers got up and began to file out of the room. Rhykim stood up and turned to Amaya and Nyx who were still in the room.

"Amaya, get ready for travel. I want to leave within the hour."

The Stari twins left the room together, quietly trading information. Amaya told her twin what sort of tricks Narus used to use when they were younger and what he might try now that he was more mature. Nyx advised her sister on how to approach the elders and reminded her what not to say. They returned to Amaya's room, where the cheetahs were dozing. Amaya woke Solar and told him they needed to move out. He grumbled as he got out of bed, waking his sister in the process. Amaya smiled at the pair and grabbed the few things she needed. Embracing her sister and giving Lunar a quick ear scratching, she headed down to the courtyard with Solar, where she quickly assembled the forces they'd need. She didn't select any Stari, not wanting to give them a chance to desert, nor did she chose very many troops. It was better to appear respectfully and approach peacefully without leaving themselves vulnerable to an attack. She also made sure none of them had horses, as the beasts would have a hard time getting through the forest. By the time Rhykim came down, they were ready to go.
