Nyx balled up her fists as electicity jumped down her arms. "What in the name of the Goddesses was that?! How does some puddle think it has the right to command you?!" Nyx was both furious that the slime had hurt her master and a little uneasy at the thought of what else it could do.

"Relax, my child," Rhykim said rather calmly. What the voice had said 'Everyone has their master.' was bothering him. If she was his master, who is the voice's? And he knew Nyx was right about it though, who was this voice and what made her so special as to now become the master of him. Who, or what, was that voice? And how did it command so much power? Rhykim continued up the stairs pondering about what had happened. He felt some closure that he knew where the sudden source of his power was coming from, however, he didn't like the idea that someone, or something has obtained sudden and complete control over him. When he finally reached the top of the stairs he waited for Nyx to exit the secret corridor. When she did step back into the dungeon's prison cell, Rhykim pressed the secret button and the cell was to remain like it always did.

Xeonph wandered around observing the dead bodies. He saw no evidence of his brother. He figured Rhykim would be the one to ask. He wandered around, seeing if he could find him.
So I'm back, or at least I will be eventually. Trying to reintegrate myself.

Still fuming over that thing asserting itself like that (which Nyx thought it had no right to do), she followed Rhykim out of that place and back into the cell where the secret doorway was. "I still don't like it... It's really unsettling," she said. A moment later, she added, "Plus, now that you have a master, Amaya and myself now also serve this puddle of slime."

Rhykim remained fairly silent at Nyx's comment. "No, you are my faithful children. You don't serve anyone. You and Amaya choose to remain faithful to me. I am now bound to 'that'." Rhykim then left the dungeon and went back outside to get some fresh air and cool off.

Destinie hid Alwin and slipped outside to get some water for him. She gasped, seeing Rykim, and quickly hid. Oh, Goddesses...... help me...

Rhykim turned at sensing someone with anxiety. He spotted the nervous Destinie. "You there, Girl. Come here," Rhykim commanded.

Destinie slowly came out from where she was hiding, trembling in fear. "Please don't hurt me....." She looked down at the ground, too terrified of him to meet his eyes.

Rhykim laughed to himself rather loudly. "Hurt you? Why would I hurt you? You pose no threat to me, nor I to you. I simply ask for a conversation," Rhykim said reassuringly. He was curious as to why this girl was so terrified. He realizes that he just battled the locals for the Castle, but surely this girl has no concept of what happened.

Laora stood just above the courtyard. He saw Xeonph emerge from a door, as well as a large knight and some other people engaged in conversation. He swooped down to the courtyard, not concerned with stealth. Xeonph was making his way to the armored knight. He yelled, "Xeonph! You always said that you were better than me," He took out his sword and shield, "So let's test that theory."

Xeonph turned, as he was heading towards Rhykim, and saw his brother, obviously challenging him. He drew his sword and knife. "You seem awfully eager to die. Oh well. You will be but one among these many bodies." With that, they charged at each other, the light(Assuming there is a source of light :P) glinting off their swords. They brought them together, with a loud clang, and they scraped as they struggled against each other. Xeonph gave away and Laora stumbled forwards, and Xeonph brought his sword down on a strap of Laora's shield, cutting it. Laora cursed under his breath and tossed it away. It would just be a hazard. They charged again, Laora holding his sword in two hands and Xeonph holding his sword in his right hand and his knife in his left, so as to not lower his chances because of his wound. They brought them up as they clashed again.

Destinie bit her lip. "I... I'm sorry.... It's just, I saw you.... you killed all those people, when all they were trying to do was protect thier homes, thier families......" She finally looked up at him. "Why? Why did you kill them?"

"To be honest, Child. It's tradition. It's something I only know how to do. I suppose it could be because I've established myself as a powerful leader and this was an effective way of demonstrating that power. Brlieve, I wish there weren't so many loyal soldiers. I didn't wish to kill them, but tradition dictates no other options. I gave them a a choice and they refused. I grew up with some of them, others I grew up with their parents. To me, they're part of me. I don't feel good doing so," Rhykim said to the girl, being honest with her.

Destinie tiptoed a bit closer, slowly gaining confidence as he spoke to her. "Can't you change tradition? A tradition that cruel, shouldn't be a tradition, I think. Traditions are supposed to bring people together, not cause death and destruction. At least, that's what my mom taught me, before I was taken away from her........." She looked down again, suddenly closing herself off. "I'm sorry, sir. I shouldn't be so forward. It's not my place........"

Alwn smiled "rhykim, fancy meeting you here. i doubt you remember me, but I'm the poor soul you left behind to guard the outpost at falconmill because i was useless. graves friend. and i come meaning no harm to you, only with a few questions... just let the girl go. i know you weren't going to do anything to her, but honestly someone like you doesn't always deserve to be trusted..." he laughed

Rhykim smiled at the girl. For whatever reason, he was finding comfort in talking to Destinie. "Tradition can be quite difficult to change, especially military traditions. Plus, showing compassion is a form of weakness. That's a rule taught to recruits in my army." Rhykim then turned to the boy intruding on the moment. Rhykim stood there, hearing the kid out. "Yeah, I remember you well. I trust there's a good reason you left your post while under orders?" Rhykim asked, his voice tightening up from it's previous trusting state. "The girl is free to leave as she wishes. I am not holding her against her will. She's voluntarily talking to me, upon request. Nothing further, I assure you."
