Ranger had wandered for a while but finally he returned to the entrance to the briefing room just in time to see Rhykim leaving. If he was going then the briefing must be over. He waited for a little while before heading in to the room to look for Nyx. He promptly acknowledged the other two generals in the room with a respectful bow and Stari salute before addressing Nyx. "How did it go?"

Endin nodded, thinking what to do. She looked really angry, and was probably a psychopath.
"The negotiations'll be with my brother, an he prob'ly won't refuse, but I welcome your expertise. Fact, was thinking of havin' you help anyway. You got more experience command the troops than me."
Besides slurring his speech, he felt it went pretty well. "You got any troops you want ta bring?"

Amaya raised an eyebrow. Something about the way he was talking set her on edge. She didn't recall him slurring before, although she hadn't payed much attention to him. Goddesses, if he's drunk... "No. As long as we bring several platoons, we'll be fine. Stari, Logatan, human, it doesn't matter to me. I can command them all just as easily." Xeonph walked through the castle blindly, upon which he noticed Rhykim. He stopped. "Excuse me, is there something you're looking for Imperator?" He already wondered what he wanted.

I'd assume we're looking at one or possibly two small detachments responsible for a flank? "As of the moment, the only other intel we have is that they'll be using cavalry. They'll either use archers on horse back and simply circle around us or they'll use the mounted swordswomen and use that as a flanking maneuver. Personally, being that they're in a desert, I'd rather have our backs to a wall. With that much open space, it'll be dangerous keeping out flanks secured. If General Nyx and Commander Ranger are successful in with their mission, we'll be able to use the ranged prototype weapons against the Gerudo and level the playing field."sigpic

Xeonph's interest was piqued at this mention of 'prototype weapons'. At the mention, he raised an eyebrow quizzically, nodded as he absorbed the rest of the information. "Having backs to a wall sounds like a good idea. But, if I may make a suggestion, wouldn't we want to keep an escape route, to be safe?" Pausing to let it sink in, he continued. "And, if I may ask, what are these 'prototype weapons'? Some kind of, upgraded crossbow or the like?" "An escape route would be wise, but having one could prove to be a disadvantage should they use it to flank us. As for the prototype, it is something of that nature. From the intel I've received, it fires off a group of solid metallic spheres at a target using something that causes a large noise and some smoke. They're calling it a blunderbuss."sigpic
